Seizel had summoned Deimos rather randomly after all since they were out by the lake again, and this time it was for a purpose. Something he hated doing, but it had to be done since he could usually catch Alaya around here. It seemed almost awkward to him that he was actually resorting to these dutiful tactics to actually get Deimos to hang out with him. Even so he really saw no other way of breaking the news he was dating a werewolf, but even so he wasn't about to reveal that secret either. Sooner or later they would show up as he cast a warming charm on himself to keep himself in a decent enough state to actually stand the cold weather.
Finally giving in to temptation he folded himself into the shawl he brought with him, and it covered his upper half. Tapping his foot idly but it wasn't rare for him to be the first one hear as his curly hair wavered slightly. Blue eyes stared out at the sky for a time or two, before he noticed the chill hair meant it was November and they had to endure the cold for as long as they could. It was amusing to him that he hadn't considered wearing warmer gear during this time of year usually. Although the warming charm was doing it's job, and he didn't really complain either. Looking around, he soon just tapped his foot again, and hated waiting. Now he would just stand there and just continue wishing someone would show up soon.
Seizel could always just go around and cast some strange charm to ward any intruders off from noticing where he was, but he figured that would be too harsh to them. Plus having them meet each other randomly while he was there would be amusing.

• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • The weather was starting to get a bit chilly and Alaya was thankful that she could stand the cold, at least this cold. She walked through the grounds wearing a black off the shoulder top and black pants under her gryffindor robe. She usually did not wear her uniform outside the school. The robe was a nice material and was enough to keep her warm. She was sitting out by the lake enjoying the nice breeze that blew past. The lake and the forest were her two favorite places on the grounds. Here it was peaceful and because of the cold weather slowly getting worse most people did not wonder out as often as they usually did.
She took a deep breath, analyzing her surroundings by what scents came on the winds. Being a werewolf and being born into a family of werewolves her senses were heightened and she loved to test her abilities outside the full moon. It was always interesting to see how far she could go while still being in control. She had gotten fairly good at it over the years but she dared not try it out while fighting. She was kind of scared of what would happen. She laughed slightly as she recognized on of the scents. She stood and walked in the general direction that the wind came from.
Just as she thought Seizel was standing by the lake. She walked up to him shaking her head slightly. "If you are cold you should have worn something warmer" she teased slightly. She smiled. It was always nice to see him. She did not know why but there was just something about him that was just warm and welcoming. Almost like there were no troubles. That wasn't so but it felt good to feel safe every once in a while.

deimos had recently recieved a note from seizel requesting that he meet him by the lake. as he'd detached the note from the dark brown barn owl and unrolled it, he'd raised his eyebrows an infinestment amount. what could seizel be wanting him for? if he happened to want for company or a game of one-on-one quidditch, or a game of chess, then he would simple find him on the occasion - then again, deimos could often be hard to find when he did not wish for company, taking to hidden stairwells and well tucked away crevices of the castle never to be seen until he so wished it - and so he guessed it made sense in some way for seizel to owl him.
then again, the fellow ravenclaw had hardly gone into detail, merely asking that deimos meet him.. where was the reasoning? deimos sighing and threw the note into the waste bin nearest him. there was no need for it anymore now that he'd read it - and it wasn't private enough to need to burn it to ashes. deimos gathered his cloak about him and headed along the corridor, down the stairs toward the entrance hall and out into the cool november air.
he could already see his -friend- standing beside the lake, and he beelined for him, stuffing his hands into his pockets and hunching his board muscular shoulders against the onslaught of chilling wind, peering out from beneath the thick edge of his dark bronze fringe. he noticed also through bright emerald eyes flecked with silver and curious gold, that seizel stood with a second figure - female by the appearce at this distance - and as he drew nearer he itentified her as alaya something... a gryffindor he was sure. ah ... deimos now had an inkling of what seizel wished to speak to him about - why he'd asked him to meet him. he'd heard rumours, both around the castle and from seizels own mouth - which were hardly rumours - about him and alaya and the big question.. well apparently there was no question anymore. he stood a few paces short of them, not wishing to cross that akward line where it would just be too close for them all to be standing. "hi.." he said simply, as always a man of few words as his careful gaze flickered between them, waiting for one or the other to say what they wanted already.

Seizel stood there as he felt the breeze pass over him, but it really had no effect since he was used to the rather cold weather these days. That or it was the warming charm keeping him nice and warm too, even though he glanced sideways at Alaya. Finding it odd that she would use such a mocking tone with him, but he settled it as nothing more than concern in his own eyes. Why would she mention that if she thought he wasn't warm enough, but there was not a sign of goose-bumps on his flesh. Seizel's body suggested he was fine with this distinctly cold weather, and showed no remorse for anyone that complained about it. Once more he was in odds with himself at finding a way to compliment her without Deimos hearing, but would he have cared if Deimos hadn't been there anyways.
Deciding that he would flatter her anyways once more, he soon just stood a little closer towards her almost wanting to hold her hand. Seizel wasn't sure how Alaya would react to him moving closer or if even Deimos would notice. That was a dumb thought, Deimos would have caught on already due to rumors spreading throughout the school itself. Finally he had caught a pause in all the terror of his life, but he wasn't bound to any rules that would lead him on to a further role than this. Arching his back lightly so that he could stretch at least a little while he remained outside with his one so-called 'best friend' and his love interest on the other. Not really awkward at all, he thought, but he knew that Deimos probably felt a little strange having to meet someone new for a change. Seizel wasn't forcing him to meet him, but obviously he had actually shown up to consider if Alaya was 'worthy' in a sense.
Not that Seizel was looking for his approval or not, but soon he broke the ice by speaking back to Alaya, as well as just complimenting her on the spot. 'Beautiful as always Alaya, and charming too, I'm just fine with my charm that I'm using. I do appreciate your concern though, are you not cold?" he asked her solemnly, smiling warmly in her direction. A smile that Deimos rarely had seen around him, but he would come to know it eventually he was sure. Soon nodding to Deimos in return before finally speaking up again, "Deimos, this is Alaya, Alaya, this is my...well I guess you'd call him a really good friend, Deimos, despite how much we don't want to admit it," he said that part sarcastically knowing Deimos would have something witty to say soon.

• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Alaya did not mind when Seizel closed the gap between them. As strange as it was for her, she liked his company and especialy liked being close to him. There were only a few people she was alright with being near but never this close. She watched as another ravenclaw walked towards them. She figured that this was the 'friend' Seizel had told her about. He had the same type of air about him as Seizel did. She had this feeling that she needed to make sure she watched what she said. It humored her, because this boy reminded her of a hawlk or falcon. A bird of prey with sharp eyes and a cunning deceptive mind. She figured it was a kind of weird thing to think but she couldn't shake the feeling.
She smiled at Seizel's comment. He was always so kind and sweet, she did wonder what he was like around others. She had heard a few things here and there but they did not intrest her enough to bother listening to them. His smile was always so guieune towards her but she wondered what face he put on around others. She knew that for herself, depending on the person, she could be very cold. Seizel and James were the only ones who really had seen her when she was happy and had a real smile. "No not at all" she replied to his question. "Especialy not now anyway" She stated as she hooked her arm with his, now closing the gap between them. "Thanks for asking" She was looking at Seizel as she spoke but quickly turned her attention back to the other Ravenclaw that Seizel intrudced as Deimos.
She took one las look over Deimos before speaking. "It is a...pleasure to met you" Alaya was trying to be polite but she couldn't quite find the right word to say. She wouldn't call it a honor and nice wasn't the right word. She was being careful but not making it overly obivious. No, right now she was still trying to gauge what type of person Deimos was.

deimos raised his eyebrows slightly as he heard seizel. 'Beautiful as always Alaya, and charming too, I'm just fine with my charm that I'm using. I do appreciate your concern though, are you not cold?" it wasn't that deimos was looking down upon his friend, more that it was a surprise that seizel could be liek that. of course, deimos never saw that side of him, it would be interesting to observe. "Deimos, this is Alaya, Alaya, this is my...well I guess you'd call him a really good friend, Deimos, despite how much we don't want to admit it," deimos nodded slightly - more inclining his head toward seizel in acknowledgement.
he had heard of alaya, seen her around, but never really approached her - nor her him. which he had to say was better than if she had, it meant they'd never gotten in each other way, which meant that deimos hadn't thrown any hexes or anything her way. at least this way they could become aquaintances rather than have to repair any damage they would have caused had they crossed paths badly before.
"It is a...pleasure to met you" deimos nodded slightly and looked at her. "likewise," he said simply, not one for talking a lot anyway, and this was all new territory for him - he had to be careful, had to ensure he kept himself in line. he glanced at alaya and noted that whilst he was assessing her slightly, she was doing the same back. he raised his eyebrows a little and even gave a slight curving of his lips in what could be noticed as a slightly amused smile. yeah, alaya seemed alright so far.

Seizel decided it would be best to leave the two of them to bond until Alaya had her arm around his own and then he realized he was trapped by her. That darn werewolf knew his weak spot and he wasn't about to let her get away with it either. Okay, so he really didn't care what happened to him as long as Alaya and Deimos got along then all would be right with the world. Right now they were off to a great start only saying one word responses and the like. Is that what Seizel and Deimos were always like with each other? How did he put up with Deimos's one-sided answers like that, but he really wasn't one to talk at all. If anything he should be the one being put up to the test since he had many other things to do besides stand here doing the introductions.
Surely they could have done it themselves, but this was much easier in his own experience, no matter who he was talking with. Either way, he merely smiled at Alaya caressing her arm for a moment, aware of Deimos's every thought, as well as his movement too had Seizel wondering what he was exactly thinking and surely Alaya would be able to tell he was not liking the silence. Not that there was much to begin with, but one could get comfortable doing things that were like a habit to him. One of them was not talking much to anyone, but now he had a reason to, "Well, as long as you two are getting along, what's new Deimos, and Alaya?" he asked, attempting to create a conversation, which he was just as good at as ending them. Finally he had spoken and now he would just have to wait for their responses, and that was a dreadful thing.
Seizel hated predicting conversations and the flow of how they would go like he always did with Deimos. No matter what, they always ended the same way, with both of them walking away without a word to catch the other off guard. Now he was sure Deimos had enough ammunition to actually end this conversation if he wanted to to go on to more important things.

Alaya was glad she took the chance to grab hold of Seizel. He would just run off and leave her with Deimos. Well that wasn't about to happen. Besides she liked her time with Seizel even if there were other people around. She kept an eye on Deimos. She did not think that she had anything to worry about but that did not make her any less cautions. It was just her nature to be weary of new people. She did not mind the silence, but she noticed Seizel was not caring for it. Silence was usually natural and there was nothing really to worry about. Most people needed to talk because they didn't understand each other but that wasn't true of herself, and she knew that it wasn't true of Seizel and Deimos by the way the two were acting.
What was new? Well it was a good way to get a conversation going. What was new? There was the first task coming up but that wasn't really news. There was always the dueling club but not much was happening there. "Besides the upcoming task, noting much" She stated simply. She half wondered if Deimos would answer. From the one word answers so far it seemed unlikely. Alaya could see how these two could be friends even if they refused to call themselves that. There was that mysterious air about both of them and the unspoken language between them that no one else could pick up on. It was very interesting just to watch the two almost talk without words. Not like she knew what was being said but still it was entertaining.
"Anything new with you, Seizel" She was going to make sure he took part in the conversation and not just sit back a listen. It was perfectly fair and she did not really care if he didn't want to. She only smiled, as if challenging Deimos to enter the conversation. For someone who relied on few words she was sure he would get the message. He didn't look like the person to back down from a challenge, or at least not one of wits.

"Well, as long as you two are getting along, what's new Deimos, and Alaya?" deims glanced toward seizel and raised his eyebrows. oh ... he was really going to try that? dei knew that his best friend wanted him and alaya to get along; and they were, were they not? if deimos hadn't liked her it would have been very clear, and though seizel was his best friend and this was his girlfriend, dei was under no obligation to stay here if he didn't want to be here. so yes, he was getting on fine with alaya...but seizel wanted to go ahead and force them into conversation? he knew deimos' lack of sociel etiquette, and he still wanted to play this game. he didn't need seizel to push him into conversation, and he didn't like it either, and so he remained in stony silence for the moment, a small considering frown on his face as he glanced at seizel, knowing the guy would understand what he disliked.
"Besides the upcoming task, noting much" deimos gave a small smile in faint amusmenet as it sounded as though alaya was teasing seizel for having 'forgotten'. of course, the task..deimos was curious as to what house his friend would now be rooting for - his own, for which he seemed to admire so greatly, or his girlfriends - which would surely earn him some brownie points with her. he would have to wait to see, not that it was such an exciting feat at all, deimos was merely faintly curious.
"Anything new with you, Seizel" deimos had to hold back a small chuckle, turning it into a small cough as alaya turned the conversation onto seizel. indeed rather smart of her, forcing him back into conversing with them rather than sitting on the sidelines like a referee. he caught the challanging look in alaya's gaze and raised his eyebrows at her faintly at her, engaging her in one of his silent communications for a moment. 'challanging him'?! she should be careful with that... he didn't loose very often... he gave a small smirk and inclined his head very slightly toward her. very well, he was game.. a conversation it was. a conversation he was going to ensure his dear friend played a big part in. "indeed, come now, tell us your news. surely the fact that you ask us, is your way of fishing for us to ask you, must be something important.." he half taunted, a light smirk on his features.

Seizel understood what they were both trying to do and he knew fully well that they were challenging him at his own game. That only made it that much more fun for him, however, Deimos wasn't going anywhere with this. "Nothing much really, same ol', what about you Deimos?" he asked rather calmly, keeping his attention focused on him, but he was going to heed the warning about what he was doing. Seizel obviously wasn't going to give him the what for he usually did, and held true to not saying many words at all. It wasn't hard for him after all being able to have wordless conversations, and now Alaya was part of this mayhem that he was embellishing in. Funny how he was able to control this conversation with just a few words, but he wasn't about to walk off.
Oh no, he was going to stand his ground and tell them off one way or another. Not Alaya haha, because he knew that Alaya and Deimos were the original ones challenging each other as much as he wanted to. Seizel was just a counter-part to their ends, and found himself already being manipulated into the conversation. Not one to let Deimos continue having the upper hand at all and found it rather discomforting. No, he wasn't going to to lose this fight either. Even in his mind he could tell that he was bound to have his own way whether they liked it or not. Setting up counter-measures so they couldn't bring the conversation back on him.
"What was that all about anyways? So, I take it no news of anything about the upcoming second task Alaya? " he quickly directed at Alaya indeed wanting to hear more about it. This time directing the conversation back towards her, and looked at Deimos approvingly for a moment seeing he was taking her challenge. A mere smirk approached his lips at seeing what he was doing, but Seizel really didn't like being used. In this case, he could honestly make an exception just to help Deimos achieve his own ends, and help Alaya at the same time without choosing sides. A wise decision on his part.
