Rumors, that was all they had started out as, but everyone soon started to figure out who Lyra Thornton's boyfriend was. It was easy to guess since he was at almost every quidditch match she had been in so far, but he didn't want to distract her by cheering too much. No, he wasn't going to tell her what to do since she was obviously the quidditch captain, so her head was already in the game before they even got on the field. That was what Will got out of that, but he wasn't here to think about this. In fact he was more or less wondering what she'd wear to the Yule ball as he had chosen something rather simple. It seemed that no matter what he tried to pick out he ended up with a light-blue button up long-sleeved shirt and black dress pants. Already tried the combination with black jeans and found it looked too...simple at the same time.

Although, the black jeans had been more comfortable than the dress pants, so he ended up changing his mind in the end. Finally looking around at the dance floor and seeing all the other people there already having a good time made him slightly nervous. Will never did good with big crowds and this was surely going to be even more nerve-wracking once Lyra was actually here. Will was tempted to just go by the refreshments to stand there, but he waited for her patiently outside the hufflepuff common room first of all. Yes, he wasn't actually at the dance floor and he was still nervous knowing that your partner was supposed to look great. Funny that he thought he only looked mediocre, but he knew of a few champions that would just wear their usual get-ups before doing anything of such a nature.

Parting his short dark-brown hair with his hand to keep it out of his sky-blue eyes soon just licked his lips softly once more and checked the time on his watch he had gotten as a present. Though much explaining had to be done as to why he had a watch instead of a magical one that could transport him back in time. There was valid reason for that, but he just thought it would be amusing to see what happened when he was a child. Yet, there was a slim chance they'd recognize him, but he would have no reason being there in the first place. Mind was wandering again, so Lyra would see a spaced out Will if she happened to walk around the corner then.
