Seizel was curious about this new trend they called the Yule ball, but it was certainly one he wasn't used to being at, especially with a champion. Considering this was a rare event to see him, but he had to figure out where his alliances lie. Right now he had to keep his secrets from the other Ravenclaws since he didn't want to be too off-putting by his intelligent attitude that made him say he was better than everyone else. It was just his ego that was talking, but today he had chosen to dress up nicely considering it was a rare occasion that meant a lot to Alaya. So, he had to do his part to keep with the trend and make sure that he wasn't overdressed either.

There was a key point in many things that he did, but right now, all that mattered was being with his girlfriend now. Wearing a navy blue dress shirt and that was topped with a long-sleeved blue jacket with black buttons on the front, and then following that was the black dress pants he wore covering his lower half. Making him look rather fashionable even within this setting, but he had also made sure his hair was nice for this event. It was rare for a guy to actually worry about even his hair as it was normally curly but he had decided to straighten it just for today.

Licking his lips softly, and then finally entered the dance floor after checking his hair one more time leaving his wand in his pocket just to make sure it stayed there so that he could reach it in case someone spilled some liquid of some form on him. Whatever would happen to him tonight would just be between him and Alaya...the one champion that he loved to hang out with so much. Well, it was kind of a coincidence she just happened to be named Champion by the time they started going out. Waiting for her at the bottom of the stairs considering he was her escort after all, and wanted to just walk with her more. Plus he would be able to have the first dance with her with all the champions on the dance floor too.

At any other time or place, Alaya would have refused to go to the event. If she wasn't champion she would not be going to the event at all. A dance, ball, whatever it was, just didn't suit her. But she had to go, it was practically mandatory. There was a good thing to it, she had the perfect date to escort her. It was one of the few things she was looking forward to that evening. She had spend the good part of the day before looking for the perfect dress. Sure she had some dresses but they did not seem right for the event that night.

Alaya examined her refection wondering if her attire was alright. It wasn't like her to worry about what she was wearing but at that moment she wasn't sure if the outfit was alright. The dress was much shorter than anything she had worn before. Which in itself was amazing and just strange at the same time. Her hair was tied back and newly dyed a dark onyx color. She was glad with the color she picked for the dress. She didn't want to wear red cause then it would be unfair to Seizel who she figured would be wearing something blue. And then wearing blue would go against her own house colors.

She was glad to settle with one of her favorite colors, purple. She sighed knowing that was was nothing else to do to get ready. She took a deep breath before heading out of the dorm and down the stairs to the great hall. Alaya decides that it was alright to leave her wand behind. There shouldn't be any need for it anyway at the dance. She took the back passages to be sure not to run into anyone. She arrived at the main staircase leading to the great hall and was relieved to see Seizel waiting there.

A smile appeared on her face as she walked up to her boyfriend. "Well don't you look sharp tonight" She stated as a complement. She had the feeling that the night wouldn't be too bad. Not with Seizel there to make things more interesting. Why not have some fun she figured. It was a special night after all.

Seizel was starting to wonder if this was a bad idea, because he really didn't like crowds in the first place. Smirking as he saw Alaya coming down to greet him, but he knew she was the perfect vision of beauty in his eyes. If anyone had a chance at winning the cup it was definitely her, but it was hard to take sides when he was dating a champion. Everyone knew Seizel as the quidditch captain and he was definitely recognized for it, but the wizard's chess club captain was just a few of the names he had gotten. Yes, he was part of them, but that didn't mean he was going to let competition get in his way from talking to other people here.

Specifically James Potter, and a few of other friends Alaya had that he didn't want to bother at all. Surely, they wouldn't be peeved at all by him taking Alaya as his own escort otherwise it would be dumb of them to get jealous. Nah, he wasn't going to be the normal jealous boyfriend that would get worked up over other people fawning over her. In fact it amused him that she could get that attention sometimes, and knew she probably hated the fact she had to come to this ball in the first place. Yes, champions were required to be there, but that didn't mean they had to like being there either. Seizel was doing his part and going to be her chaperone was working out well for him.

Taking her arm in his own, he slowly walked with her the rest of the way towards the dance floor. At least they both had some say in what they did with one another, and would soon find out just how well the other danced. "Thank you, Alaya, you look quite stunning yourself, if I may say so," he said calmly to her. Then he took his hand and placed it around her waist as he went up close to her not caring what anyone said to him as he kissed her fully on the lips in front of the entire school. That was weird, but he was glad he had done it, since it showed he had some guts to show her what he thought of her. Seizel wasn't going to take crap from anyone for doing that, and soon as he heard the music start he slowly lead off with her as he looked into her beautiful green eyes mesmerized by them.
