There was something in the way that he moved toward her that had Maharet feel just a little it uneasy, not that it bothered her. This was what she wanted from Jacob in the first place. No more of that beating around the bush nonsense, just the raw nature of him given to her at its best. His touch was fiery leaving her skin prickling hot and her pulse quickened. As Jacob dug his fingers into her thigh holding onto it tightly her lips parted letting out a soft sigh, with just a tinge of pain mixed in. Feeling him pressed up against her again arousal was once again stirred. With him she seemed to be insatiable. The comment that was made however forced a sense of defiance through her pushing everything else back. Just out of spite she wanted to get up and walk out on him right then and there. But she didn’t, not out of fear, though to say that he didn’t scare her on a small scale would have been denial, but out of a greater desire for him not to mess all her hard work up. And that grin on his face… Maggie clamped her mouth shut to keep from saying something that she was liable to regret.
She had brought this upon herself after all. With the bad came the irritating as well and Maharet knew that she was just going to have to deal with Jacob wanting to control her from now on. Not that Maharet planned to make that easy for him, or stop with any other agenda that she had just so he could have her to himself. He must have known better than to think that at all possible, no matter how much she may or may not have been feeling for him at any given time. There were things that needed done and Maggie wasn’t about to disappoint the person that she was doing them for. “You should be gone when I wake up.” She countered rolling over in the bed to put her back to Jacob. It wasn’t just to get back at him, though she had worded it that way for that purpose, but also a genuine statement. They couldn’t leave at the same time and Maggie wasn’t about to get up early.
Her comment however, had probably fallen on deaf ears as Jacob’s breathing steadied and he had fallen asleep. Whether it was before or after her snide remark though she didn’t know and didn’t really care either. The fact was she felt much better having simply said it aloud, him hearing it wasn’t the point. Pulling the covers up to her chin Maharet glared at the wall for a few minutes letting her mind grumble about Jacob for a little before slipping in slumber herself. The last thing that she had wanted to do was to end up cuddling with Jacob in the night, it was desirable to avoid any contact whatsoever, but at some point Maggie had rolled over slinging an arm across Jacob’s torso and laid her head on his chest, nice and cozy at his side.

Jacob was indeed the first one to wake up, but he wasn't quiet about it at all as he trudged out of the bed making sure his clothing was on. Having taken a quick shower after having gotten up since he didn't want to feel dirty before having to head out to meet up with Olivia and Chun. Glancing backwards to Maharet, he soon raised an eyebrow for a moment, and started to look down at his wand. Surely, he wanted her to remember this, but there was a darker side to him that told him to practice his skills further while she was sleeping. Jacob was half-tempted to as he heard a voice pull him away from that darker side of his mind, and he knew that Maharet would have been helpless to his whims in case he did.
No one would be safe if he liked diving into people's minds so much, but he wasn't that type of person. Mostly wanting to keep people out of his own mind was the main goal and they had actually done that in their previous lesson since they had just gotten the hang of it. Something told him this wasn't going to be the end of their training, but Jacob was going to refrain from giving into his or her lustful urges whenever she wanted them. Wanting this to purely be a business visit, but now he had to consider the possibilities if his feelings for her were real or not. Jacob had made up his feelings for her just to make her think she had some importance with him, but was he going to reveal the cold hard truth before he left?
No, letting her sleep would be necessary, so instead as he was on his way out, he had left her a note. Explaining about his thought process and the fact that they should continue on as only friends. Not even hinting at a friends with benefits scenario since the run they had was at least for a month, and obviously Jacob had gotten what he could out of her. Going to Olivia was not worth mentioning in that letter, and left that out. There would be a confrontation later about it, but Jacob knew how to avoid Maggie when he wanted to. That was the way Jacob was, and sometimes he just stayed in the Slytherin Common Room for as long as possible.
With Persephone visiting, he'd have to be on his best behavior until she left, and then he could pull all the sarcastic remarks he wanted to against her. At least Jacob hadn't said anything hateful to Maharet or anything, just that he was only interested in studying more. Not with her though, he had other plans, and only Maharet would know who the other person he would turn to was. "Sorry, you're just not good enough," he whispered while walking back towards Hogwarts, pulling his cloak around him thinking he could have had 'real' feelings for Maharet. Of course, he really was in denial, but if he got soft that just meant he wasn't cut to be a dark wizard...from Jacob's point of view.

She had slept hard, and rather comfortably considering Jacob’s body had warmed her through the night. Such peaceful sleep was only supposed to be accomplished by babies and yet Maharet had been so exhausted from their rounds together that to rouse at all during the night would have been like trying to wake the dead. Even her dreams were tranquil, filled with calming scenes to keep a pleasant smile on her face the entire time. Only when Jacob got up did her unconscious mind make any alteration. It seemed colder without him there, despite his warmth still being retained in the sheets- and her smile vanished being replaced with that blank expression of slumber.
Although Maggie had heard the shower turn on, it was only noticed on a subconscious level, not yet ready to wake up. Besides she was determined to stick with what she had said, he needed to be gone before she could wake up and his presence broke through the barrier of sleep even, making himself known. It was only after Jacob had left and was down the hall that she opened her eyes greeting the new day with a certain sense of satisfaction. This, of course, was short lived when she saw the note that waited for her. Even if the contents of the note were okay with her, Maharet was furious about the fact that he hadn’t even had the nerve to say it to her face. Irritation hadn’t only gripped her but it motivated her too.
Throwing the sheets back Maggie quickly got dressed running a frustrated hand through her tousled hair. Jacob, how dare he do something that flippant to her! It was as though the mutual respect that they had for each other was forgotten on his part. But there was no way Maharet was going to let him get away with such an insolent move she didn’t care how reckless it was. Storming out the door Maggie hurried down the steps and out the door into the streets assaulted by a gray, cold morning. Her heels clicked against the cobbled road with the urgency and agitation that had Maharet currently on edge.
With her pace, rapid as it was, she easily caught up to Jacob, his little note tightly crumbled up in the palm of her hand. Besides him the street was deserted and silent, still too early for most of the shops in the village to be opened. Marching straight up to him Maharet thrust in note into his chest, shoving him in the process. “What the hell?” Her tone was dipping with anger, accusing and demanding. Even in her rage though Maggie had the sense to push Jacob toward the little alley that was off to their left. Berating him in public wasn’t anything new, but the context of this admonishing was.

Jacob was expecting Maharet to come running after him after that note, but he had to keep true to his word to leaving first. Until she managed to catch up to him somehow, but it hadn't been hard obviously as he was pushed into an alley-way. Not bothering to explain himself just yet as he shrugged his shoulders, acting like the foolish wool-headed boy he could be. Even if he was just another Slytherin, Maharet did have the advantage here whether he liked to admit or not, but Jacob had his own allies that would get him out of a mess too. Trying not to snarl, as much as he wanted to, glimpsed down at the note. Pursing his lips, he'd have to be careful with what he wanted to say.
Something told him that he should make this short, sweet, and simple, although he could easily take out his wand to Obliviate her. Now that he would not live with for the rest of his life, but it was the least he could do to take his mind off of this, but then the note wouldn't have been needed. Finally he realized she preferred being told in person, and it seemed he was getting what the hell's all over the place. First from Olivia, which made him visibly shudder, when he even thought of the name, only Maharet would be able to guess whey he had done so. Detention was something that not the worst punishment that could have happened.
"I'm not going to apologize, but if you want me to explain, I wish to remain friends if that option is still open. The amusing thing, is that you risked yourself to follow as soon as you could right after me like a puppy," he commented. "Now now, don't take that comment to heart, you have no master as far as I'm concerned, and if you did I'd kill the man who would try to command you around like some chained slave. You are deserving of someone more than me, not that I care, but I still wish to return to what we had before...this.." he gestured back towards the Hog's head....although he still wished to continue their training.
Jacob was really dense if he wasn't apologizing for the note, or the fact that he was standing there having drawn her out. It amused him really that she'd still risk her identity over that.

His shudder hadn’t been because of her, she never had incited one in that way from him so clearly, while she was demanding an explanation for the note, Jacob’s mind was on someone else. Typical. Maggie took a deep breath trying to be patient with him. This though was extremely difficult. She was a little bit hurt, and latter when there was time to think over it Maharet would be very hurt, but at the moment the only thing that was predominant in her was rage. Jacob must have known that she wouldn’t just roll over and go back to sleep so flippantly. She wasn’t someone that he could just walk on and get away with it.
It didn’t surprise her that he wasn’t going to apologize. And really Maggie shouldn’t have expected it either because they had both known going into their little arrangement that it would last forever. What was happening right now had been inevitable and agreed upon, just not verbally. Maharet opened her mouth to snap at him for calling her a puppy but before she could say anything Jacob amended himself. All the while, though she was still pissed, potential opportunities were presenting themselves to her. He wanted to be friends and had just given her leverage on another playing field if she ever needed to use it.
Smiling sweetly Maggie nodded, accepting his explanation. “I wouldn’t have called what we had before friendship, but I’m open it to.” The shift in her demeanor was like that of going from hot to cold. There was this nagging feeling in her chest that stung a little bit, but Maharet, doing as she had always been taught, ignored it as best as she could. Jacob was a distraction anyway. Every time she was with someone else Maggie was always comparing them to Jacob and it made things too complicated. But friendship, that meant favours, which did appeal to her.
Already though she could feel that warmth inside of her slipping away and being replaced with that cold emptiness that usually resided in her. She did have feelings for Jacob, not that, even to herself, Maharet would openly admit it, but feelings only brought you problems. Maggie needed to stay focused. But she was missing the way that he kissed her, the excitement that his touch could bring, looking him over her mind was crowded with those thoughts- now nothing more than a memory to be able to revisit with it bringing a pang to her heart, or the empty space where her heart was supposed to be.

Jacob realized he was dealing with Maharet who liked to find loop holes, so he decided to make amends right now for his previous statement. "However, my friendship entails when I want to help you and at what times...forever...no matter what...I will do as I see fit..only if it benefits -me-," he commented to her as he then let the first smirk come to his face. It was genuine, but he had to be clear otherwise she'd forever prattle on him to be a constant annoyance, although he couldn't promise that he would disappear completely, taking to say in the common rooms. Even if she sent him letters via owls, he didn't feel any pang in his heart, as he had none right now. It was obvious he had just been using her for his own means.
Having nothing left to say to her, he soon turned around waving her off, "I'd suggest going back to your room and getting more sleep, you're getting grumpy," he said as if he knew anything about her. Amusing to him was the fact he could tell when she was about to say something snide until he just decided to walk away from her. This was the end of their longing love that he had considered a good quality fuck, but in all reality she wasn't too much like he had imagined anymore. After all, his views on her had changed after a while, and watching from a far without her knowing had been quite the advantage to him. First year Slytherin's were far more useful than they appeared to be.
Although he wasn't going to tell her how he knew about anything, but she should know he had his ways of getting information. No, he really had no information on her, as he was focused more on the Potters and had no interest in Maharet so there was no one spying on her at all. Keeping an eye on Hugo Weasley more or less was his main concern now just in case he tried to foolishly attack him again without thinking.
