A week’s time was surprisingly longer than Maharet had thought it was. She had occupied her time with her usual methods. Just because Jacob was, whatever he was to her, didn’t mean that she had the luxury of dropping all the projects that she had going. Maggie was sure that he wasn’t changing his ways so saw no reason why she should either. In fact Maharet wasn’t even sure if it was possible for her to change her ways. Her thoughts were borderlining on ridiculous, she realized, as she stood in front of her wardrobe towel drying her hair absently in search of something suitable to wear. The three other girl’s that she shared a dorm with were pestering her to hurry up as they had promised one another that they would all go to Hogsmeade together to stock up on their collective sweets supply. Maharet, though indecision as to what to wear was a factor, was procrastinating to be able to duck out of it. They were all impatient and, in Maggie’s opinion, stupid. She knew that they would get huffy and agree to go on without her. Bare feet padding over to her bedside dresser Maharet took a few coins from the drawer and placed them in the main antagonist’s hand and sent them on their way.
With the new found peace of her room Maggie was finally able to pick something out. A skirt that Maharet had no delusions about it being far too short, the pleated, black fabric barely enough to reach a third of the way down her thighs, a powder blue, long sleeved, V-neck cashmere shirt and a pair of black pumps, which only made her legs look even longer than they already did. All in all it was simple, yet sexy. After running a brush through her hair Maggie used some magical mouse that instantly dried her hair and gave it that volumized look that she was so found of. A quick application of mascara and a coat of red tinted lip chap and she was ready to go.
Based on the stares that Maharet received from people, she decided that she had made the right choice. The last time that she and Jacob had met she had been looking rather rough, sweaty and unkempt from her running, but now there was no disputing that she was desirable. Entering the shady pub Maggie was right on time; but went over to the bar instead of straight upstairs to meet Jacob. She wanted to make him wait for at least five minutes, at least. To show up on time would just give Jacob the impression that she could be some docile little girl that he could push around and demand things of. Maharet ignored the bar stool that was available and ordered a glass of Rye figuring that one drink would be long enough to keep Jacob waiting. Sipping from the glass slowly Maggie immediately felt the burn of the alcohol tickling her throat.
She playfully batted away the two attempts of some friendly gents, who were quick to sulk away back to their respected corners of the lifeless pub. Maharet had gotten Jacob’s owl three days in advance with the room number on it and nothing else. Keeping that short was preferable and Jacob had come through with the two digits doing just that. As Maggie finished off her Rye she handed the bartender the appropriate amount of money and slipped off upstairs to meet Jacob. The stairs creaked softly from the weight she put on them, then made her way down the hall stopping in front of the room that Jacob should have been waiting in. Primping for a second Maharet took a deep breath and entered the room, closing the door behind her right away.

Jacob had found it rather easy to get a room and sneak out of the Slytherin common room without anyone seeing him even if it was just for a little bit of fun with Maharet. In this case he actually wanted to discuss something more along the lines of what they could do to prevent people from looking within his mind. Even if he had been getting prepared for this event, Maharet was definitely not going to disappoint him, as he paced back and forth. In this case he found himself acting like the one person he really truly admired from afar but had no intention of actually getting 'friendly' with anytime soon. Impatience was not tolerated well on his end, but he didn't really set a time for when she -had- to arrive.
After all, with her still arriving, that concluded the fact that she was obviously still on her way. Not many students could gain access to the information he had. Olivia would be furious that he was learning this with Maharet, and not her, but he never had asked her in the first place. It wasn't like everything was set in stone from day one as he had on a normal black t-shirt. Not bothering to dress up, but he did have a certain suave characteristic to him. With brown sweater on that zipped up in the front, and parted down the sides of his body. It was obvious he had actually taken the weather into consideration for a change despite having walked here in the long run. Having put on a stocking cap despite how warm the weather was during the day, he really didn't want to catch a cold.
Especially since he had an agenda to attend to with Maharet, who seemingly had shown up late. Just shaking his head at the thoughts that roamed in his mind as his naturally wavy brown hair parted to either side of his head. Then his lips pursed into a grin as he watched her step in, instantly almost striking her as he pressed his body right up against her own. Blue jeans gyrating up against her own hips just once, and then he kissed her lips sensually as he placed his hands just above her shoulders on either side so they were resting against the door. "Well, glad you could make it, Maggie, suffice to say, it's gotten easier to not have you around," he said to her, which obviously he didn't mean.
Just a way to get the added tension out of the room as he smiled towards her, granting her one more delicious kiss from his thin lips to press into her own. Pulling away slowly, he soon turned towards the books on the table as his navy blue running shoes seemed to give away his intentions too. "So, I take you're eager to learn what we discussed? About Occlumency?" he asked her curiously as he moved to take a seat near the table with all of the books on it. Jacob obviously had done some immense research already, but the only way to truly defend their minds was with using each other. Jacob trusted Maharet enough that she wouldn't mess with him at all, but at the same time there was the fear she may find out too much, especially how he felt about her.

Startled, Maharet was thrown back into the door, pinned there by Jacob’s body. Immediately a smug grin adorned her lips quite pleased by the welcome she received. It had been difficult seeing him in classes and in the corridors without having the luxury of jumping his bones. She found that during meals her gaze would eventually find its way over to the Slytherin table just to get a glimpse of Jacob or to see if he had noticed her. It was incredibly stupid. Maggie felt, but couldn’t help doing it or thinking about him. This annoyed her greatly. The only comforting thought that kept her from feeling like one of those silly girls with a crush was that the secrecy intrigued her, made things more exciting, and therefore her mind found itself musing over the boy whenever idleness threatened to take over.
“Yes, I can see that.” Jacob’s genuine smiles were more frequent around her than they had ever been and Maggie enjoyed that he was warming up to her. It made it somewhat okay for her to warm up to him too, which had been something that Maharet was struggling with. If she got too cozy with Jacob then she would let her guard down and if she did that then he was definitely in a perfect position to hurt her. Maggie pushed those sorts of thoughts to the back of her mind returning his smile instead. Though Jacob’s kisses were still lustful, it could have been misinterpretation on her part but she felt they were also affectionate. She had been shown affection before by boys who didn’t matter to her in the least but Maharet did care about Jacob.
Knowing what was planned for today Maggie cursed herself for allowing such thoughts and feelings to surface. It scared her that he would soon be aware. She wasn’t an expert on Legilimency or Occlumency for that matter, but since both were inexperienced maybe there was a way to keep it from been found out at all, besides the obvious of blocking her mind off completely from him. Was it possible to overload Jacob with so much useless information, thoughts, opinions, and memories that he wouldn’t be able to get to the real stuff? Maharet bit into her lower lip nervously as Jacob headed over to the table with the books on it. Maggie had always wanted to learn Occlumency and if not for her newly developing feelings there wasn’t a better candidate than Jacob because he already knew that she wasn’t who she pretended to be. They had grown up together too, which meant that he knew what her parents were like, so there wasn’t any threat of discovery there either. Jacob could be trusted just as she could be.
Once Jacob was seated Maharet headed over to him perching on the edge of the table and picked up one of the books skimming over some of the text. “Eager and willing.” She confirmed. Unlike him Maggie hadn’t done too much research, other than the basics, which most students knew about, in other words the painfully obvious stuff. Occlumency would be very useful to her considering that she had so much to hide. She knew that she needed to clear her mind completely of thoughts and emotion, but her previous notion was conflicting with the proper way to do it. It would be easier to over think for Maharet than it would be to not think at all. Running a hand through her hair she forced a smile back onto her face and took her wand from the small pocket in her skirt so it would stop poking her in the ribs to sit it aside on the table. “Did you want to try it first? I am dying to see what is in that pretty little head of yours.”

Jacob had spent the better of the past week trying not to think about this one girl who kept entering his mind no matter what he was thinking about. Despite his soul-less attitude to the world at times, he was still just a human like all of the others in this world. Even if some had werewolf blood or vampire blood, there was still a sentient portion of human within, but most of them were just cannon-fodder for Jacob to use in the long run. His mind was running rampant with thoughts and he tried so hard to keep himself from worrying about what she'd think of him for finding out about how much he lusted after her. Even during their arguments there had been a hidden denial behind them, but he had to be prude with her otherwise this arrangement of theirs would get rather stale.
If it stopped being fun, well both of them would just agree to end it and continue on with their old rivalry to revive it once more. Probably not as heated, but it would still be there. This experience would gladly earn him the reprimand he deserved, however, that didn't mean he was going to block his thoughts out completely while around Olivia since she would need to know who taught him this trick. As much of a parlor trick as it sounded, this was going to require complete and utter trust between them. Jacob was still weary about her digging in his head, but his thoughts kept going back to that of her body springing up underneath him when they had made sweet, passionate love.
Getting attached to that feeling wasn't going to help him at all in his defense so he for now he was steeling his mind already, getting rid of useless thoughts. Mainly the ones about her for now, since he really didn't want her diving in that area for when she used the spell. Closing his eyes for a moment, he thought of a blank space with nothing in it. Putting a few hundred useless memories of his childhood that would be found as reputably boring, thinking back to the first time he had stepped into Hogwarts and was disgusted by all of the people around him. Due to his pure blood nature he had wanted to be in Slytherin right before the sorting hat had even touched him.
Amusing as that had been, it hadn't one shred of decency to even consider Ravenclaw, but he knew that it was where he belonged. Otherwise he would have disappointed his sister, Persephone, wanting to be the ideal little brother so she didn't disown him. Drifting off on these thoughts, he soon forced them out or attempted to as Maharet entered his mind once more...this time of her naked. In all her glory and then set that aside too for now. Obviously he had been practicing for the past week, but with Olivia around it was always hard to. "Oh I couldn't ask for more, 'probe' my mind," he said sarcastically. Of course, he was indeed preparing defenses as best as he could, until at the last moment he was thinking of her again.

Legilimency was not the easiest thing to do. Navigating a person’s mind took more skill than Maharet currently possessed, but she was focused and talented enough to at least penetrate Jacob’s mind. Her gaze was fixated on his as it was supposedly essential from what Maggie had heard. His mind was a maze with more twists, turns, and dead ends than Maharet could follow. The experience was disorienting causing a dull pain to pang in the back of her own mind, throbbing with each slow beat of her heart. Images flashed in her mind’s eye faster than she could see them but a few things did stand out, the things that Jacob was thinking in the forefront of his mind at any given time. Maharet saw the great hall, Jacob standing amongst all the other first years so proud and entitled, determined to, yet revolted by those around him. Having to brush shoulders with people of lesser blood. There was a feeling of hope, a necessity to be placed in Slytherin.
Maharet remembered watching the eleven year-old version of Jacob from her place at the Ravenclaw table. Twelve years old herself and knowing that Persephone was nearby looking on with a steely gaze, Jacob didn’t have much a choice other than Slytherin if he expected to keep his sister’s respect. Maggie’s fingers had been crossed beneath the table, lower lip caught between her teeth silently willing the Sorting Hat to give Jacob what he wanted. More images rushed by but they were too blurry for Maharet, in her inexperience, to get a good look at or pull them into focus. Legilimens could seek specific emotions and memories out, but so far all she was able to do was see what Jacob was allowing her to see. His mind wasn’t yet able to block her out completely.
When the images turned to her she couldn’t help but to smile. She didn’t see herself as she did, but as Jacob did. It was an incredibly flattering view too. Invading someone else’s mind took a lot of energy out of a person though, just as blocking someone out of your mind did. Maggie’s head was swimming feeling a lull in the images as Jacob managed to block her off but visions of her soon came back. Her balance on the edge of the table was questionable. Attempting to delve in deeper, trying to find a path in the maze of Jacob’s mind with the least resistance Maharet felt herself leaning forward a little too much and that sense of free fall snapped her out of Jacob’s mind, panting. A hand went up to her temple looking down at the ground hard. Maggie felt dizzy and the floor had the illusion of water rippling, her vision pulsing with each heartbeat.
Maharet had been under no delusion that this would be easy but what she hadn’t expected was how…exciting it would be. Perhaps it was just the content of his mind that gave the experience an arousing nature, or the challenge that made her heart race, aside from the exertion, but the fact remained the same. Maggie looked up at Jacob grinning devilishly. “Well that was interesting.” She breathed huskily. Would it be similar for him too? Or was it different for each person, subjective to what they saw and who’s mind they were trying to steer through? Pushing herself off the table she moved over to Jacob straddling him to sit in his lap, arms draped over his shoulders as she kissed him deeply. “I like the way you see me by the way.” Her actions for motivated by a number of things; needing a few moments to regain her strength being the biggest one.

Jacob was having another of his natural reactions towards Maharet, and let it press up against her this time. Not afraid to show it, but he wasn't lusting after her, oh no, not this time as he kissed her affectionately. Adding a little spice by deepening it for the moment she was connected to his own lips as he looked back into her eyes, raising an eyebrow. Curious as to why she had suddenly done that, but soon he was embarrassed slightly by what she saw. Having let that image fly up suddenly, but he doubted she saw the other image anytime soon. It was going to be hard steeling his mind with her on his lap now that he was completely occupied with another one that sent his mind straight to the gutter.
It involved her bouncing on his lap, like she was riding a horse, but this wasn't the case. In fact, their clothes were still on so it wasn't anything too bad, just a teasing reaction he supposed. Now it was his turn as he gave her a few moments to rest to regain her breath. Jacob didn't want to go in half-cocked and come out empty-handed from this experience. Sooner or later, one of them would learn the hard way that you had to block those precious moments in life from the other. Life wasn't fair and Jacob perhaps was going to use this at an inexplicable time as he whispered softly into her ear for a moment like he was about to say something that meant something deep to her.
Not wanting to comment on what she saw, but he did have to respond otherwise he'd feel obligated to say that he was sorry he ignored her. Something he hated doing, and as much as he enjoyed her on his lap, this might push her off of it. Getting out his wand as well, hard and sturdy as it may be. Having a tight grip on it, he closed his eyes preparing his mind for what he was about to encounter, and perhaps he could learn another ability out of this. Letting her have enough time to react, he slowly pointed the wand towards her forehead, and then spoke in a low tone, "I know you enjoyed what you saw, otherwise you wouldn't have kissed me, Leglimens" were the last words he said.
Suddenly he was brought to a time when she was younger, six years old, and wearing a yellow sundress. Jacob could feel her emotions surrounding him as he attempted to block his mind from her own intrusions, keeping himself rather steeled. Not wanting to force himself completely into her consciousness, but he was just practicing this along with her. The experience would be helpful as he felt slightly dizzy until the room spun to change to another scene. Noticing her father torturing a wizard whom seemed to have taken money from the poor beggar, and the feeling of amusement crossed him along with a sense of fear too.
Now he was generally mesmerized by the depths of her mind as he soon found when she was four years old and scribbling all over her mother's face with her make up making her look like some sort of masked Phantom of the Opera. It was amusing to watch, but he felt joy in that one, until finally he pulled himself out as his body was undergoing it's maximum endurance. Sweat pouring down his body as he soon pulled himself out of her mind, and then put up more shields around his own despite how exhausted he was. Mentally preparing himself for the emotionally exhausting torture they were putting each other through as he soon kissed Maharet's neck just once. "My, they didn't say how taxing this was to the body in spirit, but I'm still able to keep going, Maggie," he said to her.
Wondering if she even minded him calling her that, but he hadn't asked in the first place, it was just easier at times...after all he had heard Persephone use it many a time. Jacob was soon just thinking about the first time on the Hogwarts express, and then turned it into a maze of sorts, as each car had no one sitting in it. This was now Jacob attempting at making his mind block it out until in the last car, Mahret, Persephone and Jacob were sitting there. Portraying Maharet as this sweet little girl, while Jacob was the rude upstarting boy flicking the specs of chocolate frogs at her most of the time to tease her.
Jacob was scared by his sister when she abruptly told him to stop in a serious tone that only meant trouble. That is if Maharet was to dive into his mind right away, that is what she'd see. Then the rest of the memory would go blank as he was slowly getting the hang of this. Yet a very lovely portrait of Maharet in her full-clothed form would be in a frame on the wall behind her portraying the adult version of her that he couldn't get out of his head still.

Affection rather than lust, from Jacob, it was still hard to get used to and very dangerous to indulge in. Feeling him pressed up against her was distracting though. He clearly didn’t know why she had opted to sit in his lap, but it wasn’t a priority of hers. Instead she was contemplating her strategy trying to figure out what was more important to her. She could either chance letting Jacob see that she cared for him in a way that she hadn’t that possible, or be more concerned with keeping it secret and making her less affective in blocking him off completely. Deciding that she wasn’t ready to take that chance, preferring instead to get a feel for what it was like to have someone enter your mind first, Maharet went with the latter option.
His comment just before the spell was performed wasn’t wrong. Maggie did enjoy seeing him through his eyes. It was awfully good for her ego. Despite his teasing though she was more comfortable being able to have him right there to, essentially, anchor her to reality. Her mind tingled with the sensation of a foreign presence, but she could still feel him beneath her and Maharet gripped Jacob’s shoulders for more assurance. Their gazes were locked against, staring into those surprisingly deep brown eyes of his. The dizzy feeling from invading his mind was still lingering and sensory association caused Maggie to think back to her childhood, Easter Sunday in that yellow sundress that she loved so much. She would stretch her arms out and spin as fast as she could loving the gentle way that the skirt would dance around her thighs and the way that the world became one big blur. It was chaos but what Maggie had liked about it was that she had the power to calm the pandemonium.
There were a few moments of stillness between her father’s fury and her mother’s make over where Maharet had pictured what it was like underneath the water- how everything was dulled, sound and movement, the resistance that hundreds of pounds of pressure weighing down on you brought. He was sweating and Maggie could feel the moisture soaking his shirt slightly. The cashmere of her own shirt was making her quite warm herself as she made a slight effort to block him rather than dictate what he could and couldn’t see. It had seemed like a good choice when she had left the common room knowing that the evenings were chilly but now Maharet was regretting it. After the chaste kiss on her neck Maggie pushed the sleeves of her shirt up hoping it would give her some relief but it was too little to make much a difference. “I don’t want to stop either.” She informed him quietly getting herself ready to take another crack at him.
Reaching behind her she took her wand back off the table and pointed it at Jacob repeating the process. She found herself on the Hogwarts Express the sound of the engine vibrating through the train but everything else was otherwise quiet. Maharet made her way through the many compartments trying desperately to unlock the memory that was currently on Jacob’s mind. She was met with more dead ends then she would have liked and wondered if there was some short cut she could take. There had to be but it was unknown to her. Finally coming upon herself and Persephone in one of the compartments, Jacob’s first year, she saw herself sitting pretty, so innocent in nature, pieces of chocolate being flicked at her from Jacob. She had wanted to hurl herself across the compartment and shove that Chocolate Frog down his throat at the time but even at twelve Maggie had a lot of control over her actions. Besides Persephone had taken care of it for her. From twelve to thirty-two, Maharet was yanked from one memory to another, though this one hadn’t happened yet, but was a vision of the future. She was stunned to see Jacob’s version of her as an adult.
She had to pull herself out of his mind too confused by what she had seen to continue any future. Everything that Jacob was showing her had to do with her in some way or another, except one so far. Clearly Jacob wasn’t worried about her seeing how he viewed her. It wasn’t just that though, Maharet could feel how he felt with each of these memories too. The last one bringing on the same confusion to her that it did to him. Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad to chance letting Jacob see some of how she felt about him rather than her method of forcing useless memories to the forefront to make it easy for him to see. Now she was far too hot to go on without some form of relief. Mindful of Jacob, Maharet pulled her shirt off over her head tossing it on the bed to reveal the lacey bra, of the same colour of the cashmere shirt. “Sorry, it’s too hot to wear.” The apology probably wasn’t necessary but the explanation was. It was considerably cooler without it. “Okay, I’m ready.” Maharet said taking a deep breath. This time she would be leaving it up to chance doing nothing more than trying to block him out completely, which left her memories to be picked at Jacob’s whim, if he got passed the emptiness that Maggie already put up to keep him out.

Jacob wasn't sure if this was good or bad, but even as he was being probed. Each hall-way she passed, he had hidden a memory in those compartments, and luckily he was getting the hang of this finally. Taking off his own shirt as the sweat seemed to subside slightly while he was invading her mind previously, and was unable to stop himself from noticing the lack of discipline within her mind at times. Of course, Jacob had been attempting to practice this for a week by himself, but found it was hard to do when all thoughts of her got stuck in his head. Even as each compartment she had went through was empty until she got to the last one, with his sister shouting at him for attempting to hurl the frogs at her.
Jacob was wrought with enjoyment of having made Maharet notice his presence, and that was a truly weird feeling as it was happiness along with fear that followed that memory. Even as she was pulling herself from his mind, the picture on the frame showed her in a scantily clad skirt with a revealing top, but nothing too provocative at least. Not that his view of her wasn't in any way and a sense of calm would be felt there around her. Then Jacob's mind instantly shut off for a moment, leaving the world a blank space of nothing until finally she regained herself back into reality. Unable to focus for a moment or two he looked a little dizzy as he came out from her mind.
It was almost like giving him what he wanted and the pleasure being too much that now he had to focus on Maharet again. Curious as to why she had dug around that particular memory, although he was going to attempt blocking out all thoughts of her next time. It normally wouldn't have felt that great to probe someone's mind, but if Jacob did this too much he'd find himself wanting to learn how to dive into people's minds more easily. Breathing heavily, he decided to take a breather for at least five minutes so he could regain his composure, but it was hard to since Maharet had taken off her shirt now. Obviously wanting to do much more than remove her bra from her body, but he didn't.
In fact, now he had a reason to go all out with her, and suddenly he put his hands over her bra teasingly for a moment as he soon put them down to his side. Chaos, Jacob could easily file that into a portion of his mind and considering what he had shown her, yes it was exactly what he wanted her to see. Now preparing for another dive, he had to smooth out his body over his chiseled abs that threatened to reveal much more of his body. Jacob had also mainly done this to perhaps receive a more desirable memory from Maharet too.
"Ready, huh? I hope so, I'm about to do much more than 'probe' your mind," he said teasingly to her in a seductive whisper for promises of something else to happen. "Leglimens," he whispered again. The same spell being uttered, almost gave him a little more control and almost made him want to dive further into her mind. Suddenly he was greeted with a fond memory of when she was of a young age, surrounded by a lovely shelter of trees. Then she found a dove on the ground that was injured, deciding to bring it back to her father, she looked to be five years old. Suddenly Jacob heard her father saying "It's too weak to stay alive, only the strong will survive, Avada Kedavra" leaving Jacob with the feeling of sadness approaching him as he attempted to block out her intrusions into his own mind about how this felt.
Even if he was the one peering inside, he soon tapped into his own where he could at least block out her own thoughts from mixing with his. The emotions she was feeling led her towards the bedroom, and in that fleeting moment a new memory approached. Suddenly they were on a beach, and he was there around his fourth-year along with Maharet. Obviously she had a thing for him as he felt nauseating emotions of lust sweep over him as well as perhaps a little bit of love, yet he smiled at that one. It had warmed him up in more ways than one, of course she'd feel him stirring underneath her lap surely. Of course the memory was short-lived as he was brought to one that showed joy at first with Maharet around the age of thirteen looking up at the stars.
Glorious constellations glittered wondrously as he soon found himself following her fingers, enjoying the view that was made as she made up ones that seemed quite awkward. Jacob trailed his own just for the fun of it until he looked back down to see Maharet having her virginity taken. This was something that infuriated him seeing within her mind, and felt a sudden pang of embarrassment as well as sadness as he realized that this was a rather trifling moment for her. Jacob soon reeled back out of her mind as fast as he could, and then wrapped his arms tighter around Maharet. After all, he wasn't one to show compassion that much, but that was definitely almost a tear-jerking memory. Luckily he knew not to cry and that was the strangest part. Jacob's emotions weren't really effected much by her memories, except when she had thought about him, which had produced a desirable reaction for her he was sure.
"Alright, I think we should take a break for at least an hour, so, is that what you -wanted- me to see?" he asked her curiously, now stroking her cheek softly, almost ready to pounce on her. Looking over her flat stomach, and tracing a circle along her bare navel teasingly.

The things that sprung up in her mind had been more random than she would have liked. Jacob seemed to be getting the hang of navigating her mind, maybe it was because she hadn’t quite grasped the concept of defending her mind, but that was what this whole thing was about, wasn’t it? To learn and improve. Maharet was determined to at least figure out the best method of defensive before she left Jacob’s company. She had far too much to hide and every reason to be wary of being figured out. There were people amongst Hogwarts that could easily delve into her mind having had practiced Leilimency for years. This didn’t sit well with her. Though Maharet was a certain someone’s follower, she certainly wasn’t a lap dog, unlike Jacob. Most of her agendas revolved around her own profit and she could see how that might look to others, if they were aware of it.
Her memories were inconsistent offering sadness to lust then back again. She had been taught at an early age that emotions were weaknesses; in fact her father believed that any flaw was a weakness. Maharet had been groomed to be the embodiment of perfection, even if it was nothing more than an illusion. Reliving her father killing that poor helpless dove right in front of her eyes had been the pivotal point in her life. Five years old seemed far too young for someone to lose their innocence, but she was a Rosier and with that obligations and duties. For her that dove had been a symbol of purity and at the tender age of five Maharet’s purity had died with the bird. That age old question of nurture versus nature would definitely lean toward nurture in her case, but that was no excuse for the type of person that she was. Maharet, essentially, made her own choices she was just influenced by her upbringing.
As for recalling Jacob at the peak of his transformation from a boy to a young man, at the time she had just thought that she was appreciating a fine male specimen, her sexuality had been in full swing by the time she was in her fifth year so it hadn’t been that big a deal. However, revisiting it with Jacob, there was an underlying feeling there too that Maharet didn’t know enough about to recognize. All she knew was that there was a slight tugging in her stomach that made her feel almost nervous for him to know how she had felt in that moment. Jacob obviously was pleased with it though as she felt him responding physically to the lustful nature of the memory. But, they were soon back to sadness. Maharet had been so excited about her first date and the older Slytherin boy had been so sweet to her. She had even thought that there was some actual potential for them, but she had been wrong. He just wanted her for her body and at first it had hurt her. Looking back on it though Maharet was thankful for the experience. If it hadn’t been for that boy she never would have gotten the notion to use boys rather than them using her.
As Jacob gave her relief from his intrusion into her mind she was surprised by his reaction. It was kindhearted as though he were trying to soothe the potential pain that those particular memories might have stirred inside of her. Maharet was stunned, enough to make her hesitate from a moment, frozen in this foreign territory. She wasn’t sure if she appreciated the gesture or found it laughable. Maharet wanted to find it laughable rather than be comforted, and in effect, feel something for Jacob. There was a long forgotten hitch in her throat as her eyes prickled with heat. Maharet closed her eyes just in time to feel Jacob’s hand stroking her cheek in that tender touch of his. She didn’t understand why Jacob’s affections made her want to cry, but opened her eyes, squared her shoulders, holding her head high, shoving with determined force, the feeling away.
What would her father say to the momentary lapse? Taking a break would have been fine if not for the desire to make up for her moment of weakness. She wanted to try something first before they took a break. Slipping into Jacob’s mind again she was greeted with his thoughts of Olivia, the first time that the two had met to be precise. Even then Jacob had immense feelings of respect, thinking of Olivia more highly than any of his other peers and the majority of adults as well. Maharet had seen Olivia over the holidays whenever she was visiting Persephone, but she had never known just how deeply Jacob respected the other girl. It was a bit annoying actually, the influence that Olivia seemed to have on Jacob. The girl obviously had power but Jacob was the one influenced by it. Whenever Maharet was attracted to power she was the one that strived to be the influencer not the one influenced. Before she could get any deeper into his thoughts of Olivia though Maggie was shoved into a vast grassy meadow, one that she recognized to be the one on the Warrington property, but this meadow went on for what seemed like forever. It was peaceful there though; still Maharet didn’t stay long pulling herself out of his mind after a few moments.
“That’s unhealthy.” Maharet pointed out removing herself from Jacob’s lap. She couldn’t help feeling irritated by what she had seen. Was it jealous? Most likely, but Maggie didn’t even allow the notion to come into her mind knowing (hoping) that it wasn’t possible. She turned her back on Jacob pretending to be interested in one of the books he had brought along. Her gaze followed along the page, appearing as though she were reading from it, but none of the words registered with her on a conscious level.

Jacob had messed up on that one, and he had definitely not wanted her to see that. Of course not many knew about his secret obsession over Olivia, and he was looking at Maharet as she had pulled herself out of his mind. Now he was ready to steel his mind ten-fold and how serious he was, well she wanted no breaks. That's exactly what he'd give her, and with the upright attitude she gave him right away, he had no choice but to consider this. Even as he let her view his mind about Olivia, and in fact he was surprised that she wasn't going to use that against him in any way. Then the way she turned away from him was cold, and even, almost upset him.
Surely it would have been a desirable reaction, but Jacob didn't think so right now. Obviously going to show his distaste as he instantly pushed her right out of his mind. It was apparent the practice earlier that week had provided a cure to his prolonged probing at her memories, but even as she was slightly upset. Jacob only gave her one warning, by saying the spell as he pointed his wand at her head again. There was no fore-warning as he dived in and suddenly was flooded with jealousy instantly as he noted that Olivia was there with him at the Slytherin table at the many times he had been in the Great Hall with her and Chun. Another one of the hand-picked chosen by Olivia, as Jacob was her right-hand man to begin with. Pushing the resentment from his mind.
Entering an own block to his thoughts while he was within her mind, he wasn't in his right mind at the moment. Chuckling at himself for that one as he even watched Olivia munch down on some form of wizard food, obviously avoiding the muggle-variety choices. Yet, all of the food was prepared by the house elves, and that wasn't a matter to consider while in someone's mind. Especially Maharet, since he knew that she was slightly angry with him and felt jealousy, or was that jealousy when she was sitting at the Ravenclaw table while Jacob had been ignoring her. Enjoying talking with his peers and then it moved forward to the holidays.
The few days that Maharet and Olivia actually met each other at some points. It was surprising they never tore each others eyes out with how they conversed with one another at times. Shaking his mind from that thought, he soon pulled himself out when he felt unwelcome in her mind. Finally preparing to shield his mind in return. Jacob was slightly disappointed that she thought that way of Olivia when he was around her. It was slightly amusing to him, and he almost stifled his laughter, although he wasn't laughing. Of course, now he was ready for anything she had to toss at him, considering she had just crossed a boundary by tapping into one of his memories that included Olivia.
Sighing softly, he soon wrapped his arms around her and forced her towards him as he kissed her deeply on the lips not going to let her see a thing the next time she wanders his mind. Now, first, was the building blocks, a maze made of complete chaos, spinning office chairs would lead her down one corridor. Then a fork in the maze would lead her to more of the same with papers flying all over as if it was the Ministry of Magic, but it was just a single level that lead in a circle. Jacob was obviously giving her the feeling of being uneasy, but the chaos that erupted all at once would be random. Then, this part was on purpose as arrows would soon appear on the walls leading her towards the last room in his mind. A vision that wouldn't soon be forgotten, when they had first made love after their precious argument. Right when he finished, then he'd push her out completely as he would focus all of his mental power on repelling her completely. Jacob still looked up at Maharet, taking his wand away from her head, and he was done for the moment.
Although, his guard was up mentally, quite literally, and anticipating her next move. No words were needed for this, but he would most likely apologize after.

He didn’t give her any time. One moment she had been trying to ignore his presence all together and the next Jacob was back in her mind. Maharet didn’t like it. Childhood memories, which were supposed to be more private than she felt they were, were completely open for Jacob to view. But this, her repressed feelings for him- Maggie didn’t want Jacob seeing that. It revealed too much, made her too vulnerable. Respect for a person was one thing but Maharet didn’t particularly like Olivia and now she understood why. It was Jacob; all of it was his fault. Anger bubbled inside of her as she tired desperately to push him out or change her thought process. All that Maharet was met with though was a different memory of his precious Olivia. From the Great Hall to Jacob’s home.
Her head was pounding both from the exertion and her fury. And still she refused to admit what her true feeling in this circumstance was; jealousy. Maharet was sickened by the knowledge that Jacob now possessed. He had seen too much and Maggie was regretting her decision to do this with him. Her discipline needed to sort itself out because another instance such as this would change everything beyond repair. Jacob told Olivia everything. If he told her how she felt… Maharet didn’t want to think about what that could mean for her. In times like these there needed to be unity amongst the cause, not factions. There was obvious, over powering hostility in Maharet’s mind as Jacob continued to look on through her eyes at the trio together and Olivia and Jacob together during the holidays, especially now that the memory had more to go off of then met the eye at the time. Knowing how obsessive Jacob was of the redhead made it all the harder to revisit.
She was too upset with him and herself to respond properly to his affections. If Maharet hadn’t known better she would have even shove him away from her. It wasn’t fair for him to kiss her like that after what she had seen. Every time he kissed her or held her in his arms he could have been thinking about Olivia instead. Still Maggie refused to admit to herself that she was jealous. No, she was angry because she was more than enough, even too good; to have anyone, least of all Jacob, think about another girl while he was with her. It was about pride not jealousy. Maharet, after a moment taken to regain herself; turned her face away from Jacob staring hard at the wall. She was acting stupid, she realized, like one of those silly girls that she had scoffed at all her life. Enough was enough, Olivia didn’t matter, and neither did Jacob, not right now at least. Maharet had come to learn Occulmency and she was more determined than ever to do so.
Going back into Jacob’s mind Maharet was met with resistance like she hadn’t yet seen from him. It was anarchy. Too much in motion, paths that split off into dozens of directions and Maggie didn’t know which way to go. The papers flying over head made her want to rip them to shreds but she didn’t, not wanting to get distracted any more than she already was. The sense of déjà vu came to her after the third time she had circled his mind. Arrows pointed the way soon enough though and Maharet followed them to a room. Opening the door she a more recent memory for Jacob, one that she shared with him. It felt cheapened to her though like those arrows had been placed there on purpose to keep her from seeing what Jacob was really thinking, which probably had nothing to do with their tryst at the lake. Maharet pulled herself out of his mind and out of his arms.
“I want to stop.” She blurted out. There was a pained edge to her tone though. One that Maharet hadn’t heard since she was thirteen. The heat came back to her eyes, glassing over for a second before she looked down at her herself, a guise to blink the tears that threatened her away. “Take you up on that break.” Maharet added clearing away her emotions to offer Jacob a sensual smirk. She was better at seduction than she was at dealing with emotional problems. Maharet could easily hide behind it and given time forget about anything she wanted completely. The physical distance from Jacob had helped but Maharet didn’t stay away long as she stepped back up to Jacob running her fingernail tenderly down his chest, all the way to his waist. Her gaze roamed over his body, eyes filled with lust, not all of which was fabricated, but also genuine.

Jacob was amused by the fact that they had just gotten off of the bed now and realized that it had indeed been over an hour again. Oh yes, he wasn't prone to these activities as sweat trailed down his body, obviously he was fond of just being the one in control of their endeavours. Finally settling his eyes on her figure as he let his hands trail across her torso even after he had his pants already done up again. Evidence of what they had done washed away into the night, and now he was just relaxing with her in his arms until he finally got up leaving her to the cold shelter of the rest of the world. Jacob wasn't one to prolong business, and they still had many roads to attend to in his agenda.
Now finally sensing that he had locked away his mind securely, he wasn't going to cheapen the moment with showing her how they had been doing it earlier, and in fact he was just going to leave it as it was. If she even bothered to enter his mind, all she'd find were blank slates of empty desks in an office building, and the entire world would look like buildings everywhere, no matter where she went. In fact, it would almost feel like it was hard to breath and Jacob was sitting there in a desk restrained. Obvoiusly the darker part of himself where he was restraining it, but he knew that he would be freed soon after the act had betrayed him to Maharet. Then the bolts to his form would come undone, and he would just rip the arms off of the chair tossing them out the window. Surely, the person entering his mind would feel powerful, and immense joy at seeing such an action like he was a super being of some form.
Finally settling down, he would push the entity that had entered his mind from it, that was his next step knocking Maharet out of his mind instead of letting her view memories, which were now all but fabricated on his part. Surely he wouldn't leave his walls up all the time around her, but if it helped him defend against other people trying to dig in his mind for the truth. Moving back to the table with the books he had to find the pages for expelling people from your mind, and it definitely wasn't an easy task, but he was getting the hang of this now. Soon he spoke to Maharet again, even as he was just leaving his shirt off so she could view his nice hard abs, but he sensed someone else may have had their way with her. Not that it was any of his concern, after all he was merely a secret to many, and it would probably remain that way. "So, you ready to continue our training?" he asked softly, a devious grin now showing.
Obviously he was up to something, but he couldn't say what to her, after all it was very hard to predict what he could want from her at this very moment.

It would have been so easy to just fall asleep in Jacob’s arms, but she knew better than that. There were still things that needed to be done. Besides she was determined not to let any of those unwanted feelings creep up. What good would indulging in the enjoyment of being held by Jacob do? It was a sure way for Maharet to let those horrid feelings of love spring up, or whatever that mushy sensation was that made her heart flutter whenever he showed her genuine affection. She didn’t like it. It made her feel weak. Weakness, as Jacob had seen in one of her previous memories, wasn’t tolerated in the Rosier family. Pushing him away wouldn’t do her any good either though so when Jacob got up Maggie could allow herself to relax some. She stayed on the bed pulling the covers up and around her holding the end at her chest so that it wouldn’t fall. Her long legs were bent at the knee, completely revealed to Jacob though.
Maharet just watched him for a little while. Jacob remaining shirtless was distracting. All those muscles so perfectly toned caused her heart to race once again as her gaze traced the contours of his torso. The moment that Jacob spoke to her Maggie looked up at his face not feeling guilty that she had spent so much time and care ogling his body. That was what it was there for anyway, wasn’t it? Oh yes, their training, she had almost forgot. Maharet slowly slid off the bed heading over to the table that Jacob towered over to get her wand. “I much prefer you inside of me than inside my mind.” Though sounding flippant Maharet meant it. There was nothing but pleasure to gain from the one while the other was too vulnerable to pain than Maggie ever would have wanted.
Wand in hand, directed at Jacob’s head, she spoke the incantation, “Legilimens.” Quietly. The scene that she entered was very utilitarian. The office buildings filled with orderly desks, so clean and void of even the slightest inconsistency, carbon copies. There was nothing for Maharet to see despite checking a few of the drawers to see if perhaps Jacob had hidden something away in one of them. Nothing though, just so much order that the room began to feel stuffy. Her breathing got shallow, as though there weren’t enough air to properly fill and sustain her lungs. A little further she venture until she came upon Jacob, well a version of him. The figure strapped to the chair seemed sinister and Maharet approached with caution. The notion to set this baleful Jacob free crossed her mind and just as her fingers touched the restraints they started to come undone themselves. She took a quick step back narrowly avoiding the arm of the chair being thrown out the window.
A mixture of emotions passed through Maharet. She could feel the power that was coming off of Jacob, was excited by it, but also scared. Maggie took a step back bumping into the table, unsteady on her feet she perched on the edge dizzy from the amount of power from the man in front of her. Her world was spinning from the overwhelming sensation. Maggie even found it difficult to leave Jacob’s mind, seduced by the influence of the menacing version of Jacob. She had never felt anything like it, perhaps because that savagery in herself was deeply repressed. But he had let his loose for her. She didn’t want to leave, quite the opposite in fact Maggie was drawn to it. She ventured forward again in Jacob’s mind approaching the ominous figure. Her hand lay on the dark Jacob’s chest wondering if it’s fury could be calmed.

Jacob was already on the verge of just letting her toy with his mind, but he realized that she was drawn to power, just what he wanted. Even if she wanted to leave, it seemed she was enjoying the current version of him as his eyes slowly opened to look at her own. As they had been closed the whole time, his whole body suddenly glowing as he remained half-naked before her there too. Those beautiful abs of his starting to glow slightly with negative energy and soon she would feel herself being pushed out by his force. Wanting her to leave, although at some point he found himself deeply taken by the fact she wasn't scared off.
Not many had seen this side of him and right now his anger had built up into one entity that soon had her locked down in a chair where he had been sitting. Grinning as he had forced her there within his mind walking around her, obviously knowing she was at his whim. Soon enough he was caressing many various body parts on her upper half, mainly her shoulders and back. Sometimes venturing lower along her navel to tease her, yet his touch left an overwhelming sensation that would suddenly start pushing her back from him. Grinning as he looked out the window behind her, and it was almost too obvious where she would be headed.
Unless she exited his mind, there was no way out, but she was trapped for the time being to be tortured at his every whim. Soon his energy was lashing at her thighs for a moment, but in a slow motion just to give it a more exotic effect. Even if she was fully clothed, right now he was just about to rub her shoulders and this mind would vanish from her own. Forcing her out of it now and then he snapped his fingers completely locking her out for the time being moving her back to her own mind. Smirking as he had successfully expelled her, however, he knew it would make her mad that she didn't get to see more of that.
Jacob wasn't really wanting her to see that violent portion of him yet, but he could very much oblige her as he looked into her eyes. Hoping he hadn't damaged her by doing that as he suddenly brought his hands up to her throat grabbing it for a moment obviously the anger had gotten to him now. Having unlocked it within his mind he was seething with rage, and then stopped himself, however he did remove his hand from her throat. Instead he pushed her up against a wall forcefully, but he was also quite considerate of what was behind her, making sure there was nothing on it as he then took out his wand.
Pressing it up against her chest, and then moving it towards her forehead. Although he didn't say anything just yet, giving her time to cope with what happened, if he had damaged her he'd go into her mind to help her come back to reality since it had been his fault that he had expelled her from his mind. It wouldn't feel like anything, but she would still feel the lingering touch of the lashes he had gave her within his mind to give her a pleasurable feeling.

She wasn’t scared, not really, just very intrigued. Maharet couldn’t take her eyes off of him. Being pushed down into the chair that had, only moments ago, restrained him Maggie was motionless, except for her gaze, which followed Jacob as best it could. His touch was electric. Sensations were just signals that triggered in one’s brain, essentially, so to have Jacob caress her in his mind was unlike anything that she had ever felt, it was raw and direct. As he grinned toward the window that lay behind her Maharet was hit with conflicted feelings. She didn’t really want to be thrown through a window, but at the same time it turned her on. If Jacob was a sadist so was she.
Being at his mercy was thrilling. She shook so violently at the arousing movements on her thighs that her vision seemed to vibrate. Her breathing became erratic, Jacob driving her so wild that it was pure torment that she couldn’t so much as move a muscle to do anything about it. Instead all that Maharet did have control of was the smile that perched itself on her lips, appearing a bit pained, amongst the pleasure. It wasn’t too much longer, in reality, before she was thrown from Jacob’s mind back into her own. Disorientation overcame her and an agonizing pain surged in her mind from the force of it. Being pushed out in the manner that she had been it felt as though dozens of shallow cuts were lacerated in her mind. Tears filled Maharet’s eyes.
Before she knew what hit her Jacob’s hand was closed around her throat and shoved up against the wall. This was the sort of thing that Maggie thrived on though. She had called it out in Hector and now Jacob too. The smile on her face was satisfactory, despite her wind pipe being pressed on and making it harder to breath. Although a hand did come up to rest on Jacob’s arm there was no attempt to pull his hand away from her neck. Maharet was probably going to bruise, nothing that a potion couldn’t easily take care of. The tip of his wand against her chest did worry her slightly, not entirely sure how far Jacob was going to take this. But as it raised to her forehead Maggie relaxed again.
She was still in pain and her mind was screaming because of it, but peacefulness had settled over Maharet externally. She was in a bit of a daze, so to speak, too pre-occupied with her mind to worry about anything happening to her, which probably had a lot to do with why she was so calm despite the danger that Jacob had put her in. If she had been fully aware, though generally okay with it, Maharet wouldn’t have been so calm, she would have told Jacob to be a little gentler. As it were, the lack of air was making Maggie slip in and out of unconsciousness.
What kept her from passing out was the pain in her mind. Those cuts were bleeding some of her darkest memories out into the forefront of her mind. Her mother standing over her grandfather’s grave crying while her father stood watch disappointment evident on his face, the little girl whose self-esteem she had ruined by chopping off all her hair the look of self-loathing etched clearly in Maharet’s mind, learning to swim through the sink or swim method- having been tossed into the lake to figure it out by herself taken under gulping in lung fulls of water to see a silver fish float by, Maggie felt like she was drowning now, drowning in a pool of her own horrid thoughts. Was it unconsciousness winning over or the effects of Jacob expelling her so forcefully from his mind?

Jacob had snapped and soon his hand around her throat disappeared as he realized he may have gone too far with releasing that inner demon, however, he didn't take any hesitation in uttering that word. Soon enough he was actually starting to enter worm-hole of memories, not giving her any time to relax as his assault was endless, but he was attempting to repair the cuts within her mind. Now he didn't care about her memories, ignoring the pleas from many of them as he passed by them all, glancing them over as if they were nothing to him. Obviously his dark energy was still there, caressing each memory it touched to push it back into where it belonged within her mind so that he didn't break her. Obviously he wasn't about to let her do this on her own.
Leglimency wasn't a skill he wanted to acquire, but if he had to push himself to save Maharet's state of mind, he would. Not that he needed to since she could have easily walled her in of her own mind right now, but he had just figured out how to push her out of his mind. That was key and he had blocked so many memories from reaching forward, and as he got a sinking feeling. There was water suddenly pouring around him but soon a shield came up around him of his own memories merging with hers it seemed like. Realizing he had forced her rather harshly from his mind, and he was soon closing his eyes so he didn't see these memories.
Devoid of all thought, he was now within her mind examining each individual one, and then soon spoke into her mind or attempted to communicate to her. "Maharet, block off your memories, gain your control, I promise I won't look at them, I'm not here to harm you, just...help," he said merely. Although his voice sounded more demonic than he intended, filled with power that she had just witnessed earlier, and now he was pressing his body up against her before he had performed the leglimens spell. Obviously the touching of his powerful figure had indeed done some arousing things to him, but he wasn't about to mention how it had happened. Even though he was doing this, it was rather risky for him to even be in her mind as it was in total and utter chaos which somehow pleased him knowing he had caused her discord, and now a sense of calm passed over him.
Jacob wasn't pitying her at all, in fact he wasn't drowning with her as he blocked her feelings from mixing with his own and wanted to hug her when he noticed her mother's grave as well as the fact she had cut her hair. Jacob pulled himself out of her memories and out of her mind, cause he wanted to see no more of it, soon just shaking her shoulders gently as he whispered into her ear. "I'm coming for you again," he said tauntingly, of course now she could catch him off guard, but his powerful form was still waiting for her to come back and this time he'd be definitely waiting for her...in a different apparel.

Just help; it seemed so simple. Perhaps it was. Things were subject to perception, weren’t they? And if that were true then wouldn’t it also be true that if she believed fixing the internal wounds was easy it would be. With his hand relinquishing her neck Maharet could see a little more clearly. The air that re-supplied her lungs, in her mind, was like a gust of relief. She had more strength to clear everything away. Darkness, an abyss of nothingness, was seeping into her mind. The edges converged in shadow slowly and gradually more of the space in her mind was consumed with it. Memories were being pushed back into their proper place and the water that was drowning her lowered until it was completely gone.
The only thing that remained after a few exhausting moments was Maharet. She lay slumped on the ground a small beam of light shining on her. Seeing herself she looked so worn out almost as though she had been beaten as her limbs hung lifeless. Maharet felt sluggish but was determined to keep everything in the state of calm that she had managed, with Jacob’s help. In reality she was leaning up against the door, it supporting her weight fully Jacob’s body pressing up against hers, still locked with Jacob’s gaze. Vaguely Maharet felt him shaking her shoulders and heard him tell her he was coming back.
She didn’t want to go through that again, ever. It hurt too much and brought up memories that were best left buried. This was the motivation that Maharet needed to be more focused. She might have been tired, exhausted even , but there was no way that Maggie wasn’t going to do everything in her power to have Jacob greeted with nothing more than the darkness. She forced herself to stand on her own two feet, both inwardly and outwardly. Maharet thought of nothing but the slowly steadying beating of her heart. It made the darkness pulse.
It grew louder as the seconds passed, turning rhythmic as though a drum was being beat on becoming more powerful and ominous with each strike. Maharet let that sensation fill her. Hopefully it would be enough to keep Jacob from seeing any more. He’d seen too much as it was. Private things that shouldn’t have been left in her mind at all, things she shouldn’t have seen herself. Maharet could trust him though, that much she could take comfort in. But for now all there was to think of was keeping him out, or at least preventing him from seeing anything else.

Jacob wasn't one to fret when anything attacked him but he left himself attached to his own darkness, the wave of energy riddling off of him as he felt his entire being shaking with rage. The one emotion he could never control and it had so forcefully knocked Maharet out of his mind, although that memory was soon locked away as fast as he could think of a remedy for it. Finally bolting down the insane Jacob into his restraints again, he soon let his mind relax, and felt more at ease now. This was also another step in controlling his self-awareness around Maharet to keep his anger in check so he didn't end up pushing boundaries that weren't meant to be stepped over.
Finally he just let relief wash over as he soon jumped back into her mind and realized she was lying there amidst a black space of nothing. Fade to black and all those other aforementioned sayings started to come to life in her head while he was there. The mind was empty and nothing could be seen, not even a shred of light. Although, he had indeed seen more than just her memories and could have picked her clean of them he didn't. Instead he just walked around the darkness, knowing there was much more here than he could see. Even in her mind he was attempting to file past her blockade of darkness to search for something more.
It would feel like a prodding sensation, even though his body was acting on it's own outside his mind running one hand up her thigh. Shaking that thought away, his hand fell away from it to keep him in balance with her, and they were both exhausted. Jacob's upper half was glistening with sweat as it was obvious the brain was being tortured by what Maharet had been doing probing it. Even now after having some rampant fun with her just an hour or so ago he knew he had gotten the hang of this skill. As for how far he could test it, well since Maharet was developing enough of a conscience to resist it, he could only speculate just what was going through her mind at that moment.
Stay focused, reach out, and find the blockade then destroy it. No, he wouldn't do that, and in fact he knew if he pushed further she'd just recede ever further into the darkness. Jacob felt like he was walking forever, and then decided enough was enough so he leaped out of her mind almost falling over backwards from that abrupt pull from her mind. Maharet really wouldn't feel a thing since Jacob was the one who had to actually quickly put one foot behind him to steady himself looking dizzy. Almost all of his energy was spent as he collapsed onto the bed. There was always tomorrow to try these things, but his stomach growled rather loud. "You know, as evil as we can be, we still need to eat some sort of food," he muttered, sounding rather exhausted too.
What Jacob actually really wanted was a pensieve and someone to teach him how to use one.

It was difficult not to associate anything with darkness, the colour black. There were so many tangents that her mind could go off into that Maharet had to work extremely hard to think of nothing at all. She was a Ravenclaw, she supposed, because her mind was always on something. Even when she lay down to sleep she would just stare at the ceiling letting her mind mull over anything and everything that happened to cross upon it. She would think of the day’s lessons, what all needed to be done the next day, random facts that she had read at some point in her life, contemplate the strangest things like what it was like to be weightless in space or try to solve age old questions like if a tree falls in the forest and no one is around does it truly make any sound? But now wasn’t the time to let her mind reel, it needed to be locked up tight so those patches that they had put up wouldn’t split open.
Her mind’s eye watched Jacob as he explored the nothingness, greeted with the dark and that only. She was too weak to expel Jacob from her mind, but Maharet had accomplished one thing from this so far. She had figured out how to block her thoughts from being read. For a first lesson it seemed like a good enough place to stop. Jacob had passed her in skill, but he had been working on it himself for a week. Maybe if she practiced on her own, next time, she too would be able to send Jacob out through a window. That would be a comforting thought. Feeling his hand moving up her thigh though she didn’t think on it long, which was for the best as Maharet was prone to let one thought seep into another and continue on endlessly.
He left her mind all on his own, apparently, fed up with finding nothing. Maharet was glad for it and relaxed against the door. Jacob was on the bed in a matter of seconds looking as exhausted as she felt. Readjusting the sheet around her Maharet shrugged off the door and took a seat on the bed a few inches away from the spot where Jacob was spread out. A smile graced her features. “Do they do room service here?” Maharet never stayed long enough to know and it had never come up either, but she didn’t think that they did. What she wanted was a cold shower then some food. There was a small bathroom off behind one of the doors, the bathroom, there was a shower there but like the room itself, it was very small.
“Why don’t you get us some food?” Maharet suggested scooting over closer to Jacob. While he did that she could get her shower and dressed again. Obviously only one of them could leave the room, it wasn’t like they could go to a restaurant anywhere around here and be seen together. Even if she was friends with his sister, it was against the rules that she had made. Leaning down over him Maharet gave him a tender kiss. “I need to get cleaned up anyway.” It was his fault she needed a shower so Jacob might as well make it up to her, not that she was complaining. Sliding off the bed Maharet headed toward the bathroom picking up his shirt along the way and tossed it on the bed next to him. Stopping at the doorframe Maharet looked back at Jacob to make sure that he was actually willing to agree to it.

Jacob was content just being at ease for right now as a deep rumbling continued further into the pit of his stomach, but their lessons required them to be in tip top shape for this exercise. Stretching his mind this far had been a walk on the wild side and he had loved all that he had encountered so far. Maharet was obviously more than just a piece of meat to toy with for him now after seeing deep within her thoughts. Now he wasn't even thinking remotely about Olivia at all, all thoughts were of her and whatever position he could find her in. Although he wasn't viewing himself within her, no he just saw her posing in a rather attractive way due to her suit she was wearing.. Drooling at the thought caused him to get a rather aroused, but he kept that toned down.
Obviously food was the first object on his mind now and he nodded towards Maharet and just as quickly merely gave her a single nod. That was all she would need from him since any prolonged act of love would just force her to drift away but he kissed her sensually back. No matter how secretive they were, he wasn't about to shun her entirely by just responding, "Alright," not bothering to argue since he knew his temper would take over after she had released his anger within himself. Tense as it was, he had that little vein on his forehead bulging a little, considering the reasons why she wanted him to get her food.
Hunger was what was making him grumpy and he knew that fully well as he wanted to slam his fist into his gut. Maharet would think the act rudimentary and a boyish thing to do since he did have a habit of cursing of stubbing his toe as it relieved a lot of his anger at the same time. Even just picking on mud-bloods and blood traitors saved him from the wrath of his own anger unless they taunted him back. Even if he was the one that had instigated the attack, he wouldn't hesitate on jumping straight into an aggressive mood. Sighing softly he left Maharet to her shower as he made his way down towards the pantry to actually get some food.
Finally relinquishing in the fact he could say he had almost tamed her, but he knew that her pride was far move vast than his. Although, she didn't even know what he found to be rather prideful and his sister had more of an influence on him than Olivia really. Respect for Maharet welled up from deep within and soon he was just thinking about her again, almost forgetting about getting food. Just going with some basic wizarding foods, avoiding the muggle ones since he hated them so much. Some dumplings of some sort as well as a various tray of other assorted goodies and snacks, along with two meals for the two of them.
Jacob had ordered one that Maharet could just open the lid and her favorite meal would appear on it as he came back up to the room rapping four time before entering as was the code he had wanted to initiate with her to indicate it was indeed him.
