because she loves me so
She hadn’t seen Hector since his annoying little sister had come along to put a damper on her and Faolan’s fun. Maharet really hadn’t been worried about it at the time figuring that it could easily be taken care of. It wasn’t like he knew how much she had cheated on him and her influence over him seemed to be very high. Unless something was going on with him that she wasn’t aware of Maggie was confident that she would have her boy back in line with only a minimum amount of trouble. Little did she know that Hector had been trading secret messages with some other girl making him turn back to his old, pansy, heartfelt, ways.
Maharet was prepared to deal with Hector’s anger, she even hoped to use it to his advantage- bring out that feral side of him that she liked so much. The mere thought of it put a smile on her face. As she waited in the common room, everyone else having gone up to their dormitories to get a good night’s sleep, she knew that he would be coming back from his rounds any time now. All Maggie had to do was sit back and wait. She was dressed in one of those sexy negligees that he seemed to favour so much the only trouble with that was it was getting awfully chilly in the common room as winter approached.
Lighting the fire Maharet prodded at it with the poker and once it was stirring nicely, carelessly left the tip of it in the flames to lean back against the couch yet again. Her patience with him was wearing thin as the seconds slowly ticked by and there was still no sign of him. He better not have been out in the Forbidden Forest moping, unless Sierra hadn’t yet told him about what had happened. Hadn’t Faolan warned her not to, maybe she had taken it to heart? Maggie brushed the thoughts away not wanting to get her hopes up of avoiding the inevitable confrontation.
She sat with one long, moisturized leg crossed over the other to expose that extra bit of thigh that could be so very enticing, bobbing her foot up and down in an agitated state. Dealing with him was one thing but having to wait around for him to do something that she didn’t want to was unacceptable. Finally, after another ten slow minutes, the portrait swung open and someone stepped inside. Maharet couldn’t have known that it was Hector until she turned around to glance at them, but she waited a few seconds to see what the person would do. If they immediately stormed over to her, the answer would be obvious, but before she beckoned Hector to her she wanted to get a feel of what kind of mood he was in. She would find out by how he approached her, which was why Maggie sat quietly staring at the fire simply waiting. Maybe, for all she knew, the person who had just entered wasn’t Hector at all, but she had a feeling that it was. She could feel a pair of familiar eyes burning into her skin and there was a tension in the air that was unmistakable.

Hector stood in the forest, his eyes still trained on Sierra. She was still upset over finding Faolan with Maggie and he couldn't blame her. His knuckles were still bleeding from punching a tree and splintering it. He gave her one last hug and then left the forest, knowing that she would want to be alone for a while. Besides, he had a bone to pick with Maggie. Running effortlessly uphill to the castle. Pushing the doors open, he walked face first into a ghost and sputtered.
Walking up the stairs, he pushed back his hair and thought about what he would say. He didn't want to be rude or hurtful, but hell, she'd cheated on him, with his best friend none the less! That fueled his anger again and he jogged the last few flights of moving stairs. Standing before the portrait to his common room he mumbled the password and entered.
The fire was flickering in an otherwise dark room. And on the couch he could see her. She smelled like normal, like she wasn't aware that he knew about her and Faolan. She wasn't upset, or panicked, or anything. He could see that she was in only her nighty, but he wasn't about to let that distract him. Walking slowly over, he controlled his anger as much as he could. With wolfsbane potion still flowing through his veins it was easier than before.
"Maggie, stand up please," he said, his voice even yet harsh. Venom dripped from it. His face was hard, his thick eyebrows furrowed against his skull. He cupped his hands behind his back, the one that he'd punched with a tree now healing on its own. He stood where he was, not moving any closer to her. She did seem a bit upset that he'd taken so long to get back here, but her feelings were no longer of any concern to him. He wanted to just let her know that they were through and be on with the night. Which really meant that he was breaking up with her so that he could go up to bed and sleep this whole thing off.

because she loves me so
Even with the addition of please Hector seemed awfully demanding of her. Maharet knew what that meant but she wasn’t about to let onto it until it was absolutely necessary. It would have been so much easier if Faolan had a better control of his wench, Sierra, and she had just joined in rather than went off and tattled to her big brother. It put Maggie in a position that she rather would have avoided. It was a good thing that Fenrir wasn’t aware of what she was planning for Hector otherwise she would have been in big trouble for loosing him, and the many siblings that it brought with his allegiance. What was so great about being good and having morals? All that did was tear you in two different directions, especially for werewolves, torn between what they wanted to do instinctively and what they knew was right. Hector’s reluctance to go bad only meant that he would be seriously conflicted for the rest of his life. In her own twisted way she was only trying to help him. What was really wrong with helping someone embrace who they were?
She slowly stood making her way over to him with a slightly worried look on her face. It wasn’t because she was worried about how mad she was, but because she was worried that all of her work was about to go down the drain all thanks to Sierra, nosy little girl. Maharet, despite the stern look on Hector’s handsome features, gave him a kiss on the lips in greeting. “You’re out late, been in the forest again?” She knew that was his usual haunt. It was for most werewolves after all. There was nothing favourable about his presence. Hector seemed guarded and rigid, completely walling her off to anything that she could take advantage of to sway his mind from what it was undoubtedly on. The lingering kiss filled with that lust that Hector had been subject to so easily probably wasn’t going to be enough. Hell he wasn’t even admiring the new nightgown that she had got especially for him.
Hadn’t it been a night much like this one when she had first seduced him in the corridors. Off in that abandon classroom with the firelight striking his face and rain prickling the window. Was it too much to assume that she had been good to him in every way except for one? Was it perfection that Hector required of her? Because if that was the case why hadn’t it been given in the same capacity. Perfection for her meant he accepted who he was and followed Fenrir, he hadn’t done that so why should she give more than she got? Wasn’t a relationship supposed to be equal? Maharet’s gaze searched his features for answers to her silent questions.

Hector didn't even notice the slinky nighty she had on, or the fact that she wasn't aware of why he was angry. She looked worried, but somehow he didn't think it was because she wanted to know where he'd been. Taking a step back from her as her lips touched his, he put his arms out to stop her from getting closer. He couldn't deal with her tempting body right now. In fact, he couldn't deal with anything about her right now. He now knew that she had faked sympathy towards him a few weeks ago after his fight with Faolan, that she'd faked everything but her orgasms. She was a whore and a liar, one who found pleasure in tearing out the hearts of men.
He kept his face stoney and cold, not wanting to betray all of his anger and emotions right now. She couldn't still be acting dumb by now, he was clearly pissed at her, and if she was playing stupid it was because she was up to more lies. "Yes, I was in the forest. Unfortunately I come here tonight to bring you bad news." He took a few steps towards the fire, his arms behind his back again as his hands clasped there. He stopped just in front of the fire and turned his head a little. His eyes were golden, but this time it was with pure rage, unlike the first time they'd met, when it was lust that had him going.
"I feel like my girlfriend is Platform Nine and Three Quarters. One station, lots of people can hitch a ride. It doesn't matter the price either, because apparently anyone can ride for free." He continued to stare at her, his golden eyes burning into her's. "Stop playing the dumb blonde Marharet, I know what you've been up to. Secretly plotting to send me to Fenrir, sleeping with my best friend, and countless others, trying to get me to give in to the monster inside me. Well I've had enough. You're poison to me, you're not worth it anymore. You're nothing more than a common whore who can't find anything better to do than follow after a washed up werewolf, hoping that she can get in with him." Hector turned away from her and looked out the window just then, staring at the half full moon.
If it was closer to the fullmoon, he might has lost his temper more than he had. By the end of his speech he was seething, hissing his words through his teeth. Unfortunately the trollop was probably too self conceited to feel the coldness of his words, the truth that he spoke. It was true, she flocked after Fenrir, bringing him lackies that would never make it to par. She followed him like a cat on his coattails, as if he would EVER want her. And just the fact that she'd cheated on him with Faolan really made him mad. Especially since Hector was almost okay with Faolan dating Sierra. Now he had a whole new reason to tear the other wolf a new asshole. He made it a promise to Sierra, and he didn't go back on them. Turning back to Marharet, he waited to see what she would respond with.

because she loves me so
Her teeth nearly gritted as Hector stepped back from her. How quickly the tables turned. Sierra had run off to her brother faster than Maggie would have thought possible. Was it not too much to ask for a small period of grieving and self-pity where she had to cry in her room like any normal girl would before finally breaking down and telling her family what it was that had her so depressed? At least that way Maharet would have had time to track her down and erase her memory. But no, it seemed the little girl had to go straight off to tattle. Hector seemed calmer about it than she would have anticipated, it was a good sign if she expected to come out of this unharmed, but bad that he had reverted back to the level headed half-breed that he once was. As his back turned on her Maharet dropped the ignorance act her arms crossing over her chest at the insult. The only reason that it stung was because it came from his insolent mouth, not because she was offended by it. Hector didn’t know the first thing about her. Many may have taken a ride but it was never free. He of all people should have known that by now.
She wouldn’t have said countless either. Maggie was really good at keeping track of those that she slept with and it was far less than the impression that Hector seemed to be under. His wounded pride was blinding him to the logic of it all though. It wasn’t only her promiscuity that he was wrong about. She hadn’t tried to get him to give in to his supposed monster inside she had succeeded on many occasions- she had seen it come out to play. There was nothing common about her there were very few who could pull off the layers of deception that she did on a daily basis with multiple people and as for Fenrir there was no getting in with him, she already been his since birth. He was simply waiting on her go ahead to change her. Maharet’s father had promised her to Fenrir. Hector may have known the basics but there was so very much that he was ignorant about.
Hearing that all of her hard work with him was going down the drain thanks to his bratty little sister, her eyes flickered to the fire poker that was red hot from the flame encasing it. She had half a mind, as rage bubbled up inside of her despite her knowing the inevitable since Hector had asked her to stand. Her aggressive thoughts were rarely realized by her own hand, she preferred others to do her dirty work and a ghost of a smile flirted with her lips. One way or another she was going to get something out of Hector. She had been aiming for loyalty for Fenrir, but since Sierra had killed that, blood and pain would have to suffice. Surely, now that he had an idea of what kind of person she was, he would realize this. You didn’t cross her and expect to get off Scott-free.
He seemed to be expectant of her once he turned back to face her. No longer seeing a need to oblige his request she sat on the arm of the couch, leaning back quite comfortably, with one long leg over the other and an arm draped over the back of the couch. “For someone that seems so sure of themselves you know very little of the truth. I gave you want you desired most from me and now you’re cranky because you know vaguely of what I wanted. I was under the impression that a relationship was fifty-fifty.” There was no point in denying things now. “I did sleep with Faol, twice actually, the first time one my best friends, Persephone Warrington- you know Jacob’s older sister, had a little three-some action. As for Fenrir I’ve always been his, my father gave me to him as a child- you shouldn’t speak of things you don’t know.” Looking him over a smile fully came onto her lips. “If enjoying sex makes me a whore then so be it. You sure didn’t seem to mind. I lied to you, manipulated, and used you and you loved every single minute of it. Suddenly you have something against it.” She shook her head, disappointed.

Hector snorted. He wasn't stupid and he wouldn't let her manipulate him anymore. "Don't even talk about fifty/fifty relationships Maharet. You say you gave it all and all I did was take take take. And yet, if we were supposed to be going half and half, then why was it always ME giving you love and kindness, always taking your side when someone said something horrible about you. I showed you love and compassion, you showed me lust and slept around behind my back. If we want to talk about giving fifty fifty in a relationship then maybe you should have cared about me as much as I cared about you. I guess I didn't realize that lying and manipulating people was part of a relationship, so forgive me for not giving that back to you." His eyes bore into hers, the firelight reflecting in his eyes. He watched her, watched her with her arms crossed over her chest indignantly.
"Well congratulations, you can successfully sleep with two genders at one time. Do you think that makes you cool? Do you think that really makes you desirable to someone? I can garuntee you that Faolan only did those things because of his wolf. Why else do you think it took me this long to realize what you were up to? I was blinded by the wolf, the wolf that you wanted to take complete control of." She leaned on the arm of the couch, crossing her long legs and lounging an arm across the back of the couch. He ignored this fact and walked over to her. Placing his arms on either side of her on the couch, trapping her within himself, he glared down at her.
"Do not think that this will go unforgiven. You can continue to sleep around with the school and all the others werewolves and vampires you want, but just know that I happen to have an in with most of them, and they will all be alerted to your plan. Not everyone wants to follow that freak that you adore so much." He continued to stare down at her, his golden eyes searing into hers. "I know what happened with Sierra. I know the threats that were made. Faolan will pay for what he did, believe me. But you...." He pushed himself up and away from the couch. "You I don't even care about anymore. You are no longer worth an ounce of my time." He walked away from her and moved to go upstairs to his dorm room.

because she loves me so
If Hector had managed to manipulate her she would have been impressed, would have respected him rather than whine about it hurting her feelings like he was doing to her now. “Some people aren’t capable of caring and loving another person…” Maggie replied slowly trying to sound nonchalant, but she had decided not to lie to him in this instance. It was the only good thing about him breaking up with her- she no longer had to hide things about herself. She was capable so leaving it to insinuation like that couldn’t be done. “And others,” A more person note hit her tone. “Aren’t allowed to be.” That was the truth if he still wanted it from her. She had too much to do for too many people others counting on her and what good would it have done her to get mixed up in feelings. There wasn’t any woe is me in her statement just education of the facts. Hector didn’t know the first thing about her world so he didn’t have right to judge. She had already admitted to lying, manipulating and using him- what more did he want? An apology? Maggie wouldn’t do it. It would just be false because she wasn’t’ sorry for doing what she was supposed to. If Fenrir found out that Maharet had almost had Hector and decided that he wanted the boy still he would get him one way or another and the cost of that would be heavy for Hector.
It wasn’t about being desirable. She had already told him that she enjoyed sex- that wasn’t limited to one sex. There was nothing about being cool involved, but rather being satisfied so didn’t dignify that with any response. Maggie did find it interesting that Hector thought Faolan was only appealed in his wolf sense. There was no denying that it helped bring out a more flirtatious side, as it did in all, turning them rather primal in their needs, but the man inside wanted just as much, he was just more cautious, as was the case with Hector. If nothing but the wolf wanted her in Hector he wouldn’t have loved or cared for her. But rather than correcting him Maharet remained silent. He was just blowing smoke because he was upset with her, he was trying to hurt her feelings and she didn’t blame him- it just wasn’t working.
Maggie didn’t even so much as flinch as Hector approached keeping her on the couch like he had. Threatening her, did he really just do something that stupid? And to further enrage her he was disrespecting Fenrir. Maharet leaned forward putting herself close to Hector, eyes narrowed. He was quick to push away, not that he was frightened by the ferocity in her gaze, in a fair fight Hector could take her without a doubt, he was far too strong to do something like that. She contemplated her anger trying to keep it suppressed long enough for Hector to slip up to his dorm and out of her sight but, with his back turned to her once more she was on her feet following him toward the stares. Giving him as harsh a shove as she was capable of Maharet wasn’t going to let him get away with anything, though proper payback would be served to him later and not by her own hand. “Don’t think for a second that you have any pull here. Your supposed in with others is unimportant. You might not think it now but when Fenrir sets his focus on you you’re going to regret not doing things my way.” In her own sick, twisted way Maggie had been trying to help Hector. Closing her eyes she sucked in a deep shaky breath trying to calm herself. “Never disrespect Fenrir in front of me again.”

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,10,true][atrb=style,background-image: url('http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g79/Juliart/background_black.jpg');,true][cs=2] L E A D S T O N O W H E R E | [atrb=width,240] When she pushed him, her hands flat on his back, Hector stopped in his place. Even though she was tiny, she was strong. His body jolted a little bit, but he didn't fall down or stumble. He cocked his head a little bit, opening his mouth and working his jaw. He slowly rotated his head to let one of his eyes look over his shoulder, his golden eyes boring into her. Slowly he turned to face her, his shoulders rippling as his muscle mass began to change.
He rolled his shoulders. "Now now Maharet, don't do something you'll regret, Besides, I will disrespect whomever I wish, certainly you won't stop me." Hector growled at her. "You think people don't already talk about him? About how he ruins lives and kills children? You're no better. I suggest you stay away from me from now on, and my family," he warned, narrowing his eyes, his fangs sliding from his canines. He cracked his knuckles and glared down at her. Walking over to stand towering over her, Hector grinned. "You have no control over me anymore. Who cares if he 'has his sights' on me, as you say. I will never give in to that way of thinking, and he will never get his clutches on me. Fuck of Maharet, we already know you're good at it." Hector seethed down at her and lifted his hands, doing something he had never done before.
Placing his hands on her shoulders, he shoved her roughly back, the same way she had to him. It was no more forceful than her's had been, but he had a feeling that she wouldn't enjoy it. He wiped his hands on his pants, as if wiping something dirty from them and sneered at her. "I've had enough, I'm leaving." Hector turned back and passed by the fireplace, not noticing the hot fire poker. He passed by the couch, and sadly got his sweater caught on a nail that stuck out of it. Swearing he grabbed hold of the nail and wrenched it out of the couch, tearing it from his shirt in the process.

because she loves me so
She had never been so furious with a single individual in her entire life. Previously Maggie hadn’t even thought it possible for anyone to enrage her as much as Hector was at that moment. Her visions of aggression were beating at the door to be acted out, to cause Hector as much physical pain as he was inciting anger in her. Maharet’s eyes flashed with rage, the emotion glinting in her to be unmistakable. What was worse was that she could see it brewing inside of him too. Where just yesterday it would have been a good thing, would have made her feel accomplished, all it did now was make him loathe him more.
That patronizing tone of his warning her not to do something that she regretted Maharet wanted to lash out at him even more. She already had done something that she regretted and that was getting involved with him in the first place. Hector had wasted her time and energy, both of which she didn’t take kindly to in the least. People might have talked about Fenrir but that wasn’t the point. The point was they never did so in front of her. He was so self-righteous insinuating that she wasn’t worth while because she had loyalty toward Fenrir, but was it really that much different than Hector being loyal to his family? No, at least not in her eyes, and that was all that mattered to her.
Maggie had dealt with her fair share of werewolves, each one far more terrifying than him so wasn’t intimidated, though she was wary, when he stepped up to her trying to scare her away from doing anything as retribution. He really knew nothing about her though. Going after his family was certainly an option and he had just put it freshly into her mind. Maharet kept her expression blank, her hands balled into fists, fingernails digging into the skin to leave little half moon indentions. Taking a deep breath to calm herself Maggie let a sly smile slowly form on her lips. Hector really had no idea what he had been involved with and what he soon would be. She was a dedicated person and now had even more motivation to make his life a living hell. Vengeance would be exacted, Maggie would wait however long she needed, have his guard down just to make him regret it.
As his hands lay on her shoulders Maharet’s body tensed, anger still boiling under the surface. She didn’t expect him to push her back so when he did Maggie stumbled backward, stopped only by the corner of the fireplace jabbing harshly into her back. The pain from it shot through her and her eyes closed limiting her winch. Maggie refused to give him the satisfaction of knowing that he had hurt her though. Gritting her teeth she watched as him snag himself on a nail in the couch, her gaze shifted to the fire poker that was heating in the flames. All she wanted to do at that moment was shove it through his freaking heart and twist it around like a swivel stick to watch his body twitch.
