Sabrina was walking down the fifth corridor her sapphire eyes glancing around as if she thought someone might be following her. If someone was, she would have to change course as she didn’t want many to know about the empty classroom she has been using since her second year. It was like a safe haven for her a place that no one else knew about except for a select few. She was actually surprised that she managed to convince her teacher to let her use the classroom for such a place, but perhaps it was because the professors knew of her many insecurities. She often wished she could show Douglass the classroom. Show him that she was trying to be the best she could be, despite the fact that she was half-werewolf. She would show him that she even brewed her own Wolfsbane Potion, but her younger brother always turned a cold shoulder to her. She had a feeling it was because of things her father said to him, probably warned him about how dangerous she could be and what she did to her father when she was three. But things were different now; she was older, wiser and knew how to control those things even if it meant making a potion every month just to keep herself under control. But it seemed so far that it was such a lost case.
Finally she got to the classroom. She knew she had an enchant on it, one that would let her know when someone entered the room. It was something she had asked of the charms professor to put on for her. She really did like the spell, and glad she really hadn’t a need for it yet. Carefully though she glanced down both sides of the corridor before disappearing into the classroom, her black boots thumping loudly on the floor as she entered the room. The room was full of many things and had several cauldrons in it. Sabrina had always loved brewing potions and often had several going at once. She had a cabinet where she had her own supplies and in fact she had a bit of a side business in a way. She made potions her friends wanted; they helped her get the supplies she needed to make their potions as well as potions she wanted to create. Well the ingredients that they couldn’t get directly from the potions classroom that is. She sat the books she had down on one of the desks. It contained the recipe for making the Felix Felicis, it was a potion she had been wanting to create for some time, but she wasn’t going to start on it until later. She needed to make a new batch of wolfsbane after all.
She walked around to the three cauldrons that were already brewing a potion, making sure to stir the ones that needed to be stirred the way they needed to be stirred before she went to a fourth cauldron that was empty. It was the cauldron she always used to make her wolfsbane potion. She even had a small cabinet next to it that contained all of the ingredients needed for the potion. She never had to by these ingredients as the potions professor always willingly gave them to her knowing what she needed them for. Softly whistling to herself she began to pull out some ingredients laying them on the desk before she took some of the wolfsbane plant and began to chop it just right. The young Hufflepuff was hard at work not knowing that soon she would be interrupted by someone she had never expected to meet.

His eyes beat red, his body sluggish, and a book in hand, Hector shuffled from his common room on the seventh floor. Passing by a few last minute stragglers, he didn't even bother to reprimand them on their tardiness. He could be tardy yes, because damn near everyone here thought he was doing rounds. Considering, you know, he IS a prefect. Stiffling a yawn he shuffled down the hall, watching portraits hunker down for a night of slumber. He was tired but couldn't sleep. Things were keeping him up lately.
First on that list of things was the fact that his so called best friend was hooking up with his so called girlfriend, and apparently she's been whoring herself out the whole time they were dating. As if that wasn't frustrating enough, he had just mended his relationship with Faolan and then his little sister Sierra had found Faolan and Maggie hooking up, which broke her heart. One day he would be out for blood (again) for what Faolan did to Sierra.
Second was that his new pen pal and date to the Yule Ball was having visions about all the bad stuff going on at school. He was worried for her, worried that she might be in trouble some day. Which was why he gave her that enchanted ring, without even really knowing who she was. And she'd clearly appreciated the ring, because the perfect match that he wore on his right hand was always warm as her's lay against her skin on the necklace where she'd placed it.
Going down a few floors Hector lit his wand to brighten the place up. He could see just fine without it, but he preferred to not strain his eyes right now. That was when he caught the sight of a swish of blonde hair and the scent of another half werewolf. He hadn't ever smelled this scent before and decided that this was the first time he'd come upon her. Following her, he lingered in the darkness, using his senses to bring him closer to where she was going. He let her close the door behind her, almost letting it click shut before he slipped in after her.
And there she sat, brewing the Wolfsbane potion! Oh his lucky day! Maybe she could spare him a vial or two. Stepping from the shadows, Hector smiled and crouched down next to her. "Hey. I didn't know that many other wolves here enjoyed the wolfsbane potion." Moving to sit down roughly six feet away from her, Hector kept his distance. He knew that many wolves didn't enjoy being snuck up on, even though he was good at it. His eyes glittered with delight at having met another werewolf, who he assumed was friendly.

As Sabrina begun to chop up her wolfbane plant her hair kept on getting in her way. So she laid her small knife down and pulled out her wand. Tapping her head lightly a muttering a small spell so that her hair flew up and pulled itself back into a messy bun before. She then pocketed her wand once more and picked up the knife to get back to work. And then she felt someone enter the room. Perhaps it was just a Professor? But she recognized the smell, it was similar to hers but yet different. A werewolf perhaps? But she didn’t want to stop again in the middle of her slicing and dicing for fear that she’d screw up on it and Sabrina hated screwing up on her potions.
And then he was in view, she glanced up at him taken in his looks. A tall handsome broad man with amazing jet black hair, he looked incredible and she was pretty sure he was older than her and most likely in a different house as she knew pretty much everyone in the Hufflepuff house. “Hey. I didn't know that many other wolves here enjoyed the wolfsbane potion.” So he knew that she was making the wolfsbane potion? And why was she now blushing when he asked her that? Quickly she looked down at her table to hide her blush and lifted the small cutting board up and over to the cauldron before she let the wolfsbane plant fall into the plot. “Well it’s the only way I can stay sane during the full moon,
” she half admitted. She didn’t even know who this guy was yet so it wasn’t like she could go on about how she needed it to stay sane to show her half-brother that just because she was part werewolf didn’t mean she was dangerous. But it seemed her father really ingrained it in his mind that she dangerous. She had opened up another drawer that was beside her cauldron and pulled out another ingredient, some liquid silver. This was an ingredient she always had to be careful with because if brewed wrong, it could seriously poison her. “ I think all werewolves at this school should take it. We’d have a lot less problems if they did,” she said lightly as she poured the liquid silver into a measuring cup, careful to measure the right amount that she would need before she glanced up at him. “ How’d you know someone was in here? I could’ve sworn I checked to see if anyone was watching before I ducked in here,” she asked him curiously. Was he perhaps a stalker? She knew she smelt werewolf blood in him, perhaps he could smell it in her as well. She remembered Lucian telling her how werewolves, even part werewolves, could always tell when there was another person with werewolf blood nearby. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Still sitting across from her, Hector could see that she was confused as to how he'd gotten in. He was very good at being light on his feet for being such a big guy. He set his elbows on his knees and his fave on his hands, which were curled into fists for more comfort. Watching the younger girl add the wolfsbane plant to the cauldron, he watched as steam rose up from it and heard the potion hiss. At his question, or rather statement, about the potion, she had a small answer for him at first, then elaborated.
"I take the potion because it clears my mind. Without it, I'm a monster. And I don't want to be a monster. If only we could get all the wolves to drink it. Everyone would be much better with it," he said, trailing off. Running a hand through his shaggy hair he mulled on that thought. If he'd started taking that potion months ago, when he'd first started talking with Heartfelt Seer, then maybe he wouldn't have gotten into that horrible fight with Faolan, maybe he would still be friends with him and never have dated that cheater Maharet. That potion could have saved him a lot of grief if he'd just manned up and taken it before shit hit the fan.
It was her turn to ask a question now, and he smiled. He figured this would come up. Leaning backwards he placed his hands behind his head and leaned against a desk, his biceps flexing during this motion. "Simple. I could smell you. I know it's weird, but I know when there's another werewolf around. I could smell you as I walked down the hallway. And I simply waited until you were through the door. Just before it closed I slipped through. I'm surprised you didn't hear me." Smirking, a nice one, Hector watching her continue to add ingredients to the potion.
"Hey, I hope you don't think I'm out of line here, but would you mind sparing a vial or two of that potion? I'd even pay you for it. I have just recently started taking it, and I must admit Potions are not my forte." He laughed, thinking about his last batch of wolfsbane potion. It tasted horrible, and he dreaded the thought of making it again. It was lump and thick, and to him it resembled polyjuice potion. So of course he was more willing to ask someone to spare there's, rather than try to make it again himself.

“ I take the potion because it clears my mind. Without it, I'm a monster. And I don't want to be a monster. If only we could get all the wolves to drink it. Everyone would be much better with it,” she was about to pour the liquid silver into the potion, but then stopped to look up at the boy. Was he the same way as her? She thought back to the day when she had attacked her father all because he told her it was time to stop playing with one of her toys. She felt like she was a monster than, perhaps that monster was still deep inside of her being covered up by the wolfsbane potion. She bit her lip softly contemplating the idea; maybe Douglas was right in avoiding her. She probably would end up hurting him if he got too close. But then again, the only time she hurt someone was when she hurt her father and it caused him to leave both her and her mother. And it was still her and her mother at home; she wondered how lonely her mother felt right now. She knew she was still in love with Sabrina’s father, but there was no way they could fix that. He was married now and would probably never return.
She then mentally pushed the thoughts out of her mind, she needed to focus on the potion and after all, she didn’t want to screw it up right? She carefully poured the liquid silver into the cauldron, stirring it in clockwise at a nice steady pace at the same time making sure to count how many times she went around. “Simple. I could smell you. I know it's weird, but I know when there's another werewolf around. I could smell you as I walked down the hallway. And I simply waited until you were through the door. Just before it closed I slipped through. I'm surprised you didn't hear me.” she nodded letting him know that she understood what he meant. She could smell him too as well, but she need to concentrate on what she was doing at the time and talking would only cause her to miscount. five, six, seven… she counted in her mind hoping that the boy would understand why she wasn’t exactly responding right away to what he said.
thirteen, fourteen, fifteen… there she was done stirring and had all of the liquid silver in. Now she needed to let it set and burn for five minutes, which gave her enough time to pull out and get her next ingredient ready. “Hey, I hope you don't think I'm out of line here, but would you mind sparing a vial or two of that potion? I'd even pay you for it. I have just recently started taking it, and I must admit Potions are not my forte,” she heard him asked as she dug into the drawer for her next item. She looked up at him, a piece of boomslang in her hand as she titled her head curiously. Did he not know that the potions master handed them out freely to whoever wanted it? Or maybe it was for some other reason that he’d rather get it from a student that he didn’t even know than from a professor who was perhaps more of an expert with the potion than she was. She’ll admit that she was pretty darn good, but the Potions Professor was still far better than her. “You do know you can get some from the Potions professor right?
” she asked him curiously. Maybe there was another reason why he wanted it. Perhaps he planned on bringing it to the Professor to pull it off as his own work. “ But I suppose if you rather have some that I made, I guess that’s fine,” she said softly as she laid the boomslang down on the cutting board and began to cut it into long strands. Hector watched her stirring the potion and knew from experience that she was counting the stirs that she made. She would count to fifteen and then be done stirring in the silver. So he waited patiently for her to finish counting and then even waited for her to answer. Yes, yes he was aware that the Potions teacher gave it out. Maybe it was just his way of conversing. He wasn't trying to think mean thoughts, but sometimes he couldn't help himself. Next she cut the boomslang on a cutting board and he watched her. She was kinda cute.
He scooted a bit closer and looked in the cauldron. Oh yeah, that potion looked MUCH better than the ones he concocted. "Well I can go to the Professor. I was just trying to think of ways to get the conversation flowing. And don't worry, I don't want to turn it in as my own work, even though I'm horrible at Potions." He smirked. He assumed that she was thinking that since it took her so long to answer him. He was a prefect after all, he wouldn't do something like that.
"So what house are you in? I wonder why we've never come across each other before, because we're both werewolves. I know most of them in the school." Folding his hands in his lap he watched her. She had striking blue eyes and such pretty blonde hair. But something about her still looked youthful, so he stopped and and all thoughts about her. Plus he now had his penpal on the brain, wondering who she was. It wasn't this girl here, since she was a werewolf too. This pen pal of his was a seer.
The potion had to brew for a few minutes now, so he waited with her. "You know, you shouldn't have to hide in here and make this potion. You yourself just suggested I go to the potions Professor, why don't you do the same?" Hector wasn't one to throw words back in people's faces, but he did enjoy getting to understand them better. Either she liked to make the potion on her own, or nobody else knew what she was, unless they were other wolves.

“Well I can go to the Professor. I was just trying to think of ways to get the conversation flowing. And don't worry, I don't want to turn it in as my own work, even though I'm horrible at Potions.” he said to her as she continued to chop up the boomslang into small strings. She then glanced over at a clock to make sure it had been the right about of time for it to brew before she picked up a strand of boomslang and began to plot them into the cauldron one by one as she pulled out her wand and it touched it to the flames to cause them to warm up the pot some more. “So what house are you in? I wonder why we've never come across each other before, because we're both werewolves. I know most of them in the school.” She heard him as she continued to plot strands of boomslang into the potion until she had added twenty strands. So he knew most of the werewolves in the school. She had sensed many as there were quite a few werewolves in the school and heard names of others, the ones that were more out there and completely proud to be wolf. But there was only one that she really hung around and that was Lucian. He had taken her under her wing the first day she sat foot in the Hufflepuff common room and was always nice to her, though she had heard other rumors about him and then there was that Romulous Moon he hung out with that Sabrina was a bit iffy about. However, she never would say anything about it. She was sure she had sense this boy before as well, but she never really was the one to go out and meet all the other wolves.
“ You know, you shouldn't have to hide in here and make this potion. You yourself just suggested I go to the potions Professor, why don't you do the same?” She was snapped back to reality by his voice and looked up at him as she dropped the last string of boomslang into the potion. Why did she hide out here to do her potion making? Well for one she loved to make potions, and for two the Professors let her. As to why she made her own potion? That would be because she felt that if she put in the extra effort to keep herself calm perhaps her brother would see that she really did work at keeping herself less dangerous. Not that he knew about this room or anything, she had never been able to get him to him to talk to her let alone follow her into this room. The instant he noticed she was near him it was like he turned around and went the other way. “I’m in Hufflepuff,
” she said softly as she begun to stir the boomslang in. She looked at the clock as she needed to stir for three minutes. “ And I guess for self-satisfaction. Professor Liason said that my potions were good enough for me to take. She didn’t want me to take my own potions unless she knew for sure I was doing them right,” she said softly, still stirring the potion nice and slowly. She had taken her eyes off of him again, focused on her potion once more. She didn’t want to screw up. No need to have any potions blowing up over the both of them right? “ I take it you’re not in Hufflepuff, I would’ve seen you before,” she said softly as she brought her wand up to the flames under the cauldron once more and carefully she slowly brought the temperature down. “ And you’re probably older than me as I never see you in any of my classes,” she stated rather than asked. Hector rested a hand on his chin, watching her. She was so focused on the potion that he felt like she wasn't even all that there. She mentioned that she brewed her own because the potions master thought her's were good enough to consume. That made sense, with all the concentration she was putting on the potion right now. It looked like it was coming along brilliantly. Smiling kindly at her, he admired how easily she was doing this. His potions came out charred and burned to the bottom of his cauldron. But apparently his effort was enough to help him pass. As well as the quality of his homework.
Hector stood up as she mentioned that she was Hufflepuff. That would explain why he didn't know her. She also seemed to be younger than him. I'm a Ravenclaw, seventh year. So yes, you've never seen me in classes. I'm still surprised that I haven't seen you before just because of your scent. Then again, I know other wolves who have other things on their minds then just being friends." Hector turned away from her before he said the last part, rolling his eyes and cupping his chin in his hand. He knew that Lucien was in that house, and Lucien wasn't particularly the... best person in town to hang out with.
He turned back to face her, swinging his arms a little and patting his hands on his legs lightly. He didn't want her to think of him badly with his last comment. He just knew that out of all the wolves in Hogwarts, only a few of them, mostly his family, were actually good people. Some people really wanted to be just like that ass Fenrir Greyback. Mainly all of his children. His blood almost boiled at the thought of that name, considering he was on the outs with Faolan, the oldest son still in Hogwarts. "Well, I guess that it's good that you're potions are really good, I've heard if you don't make it just right, that you can have some serious consequences..." He smiled nicely at her, hoping he wasn't coming off as an ass.

“I'm a Ravenclaw, seventh year. So yes, you've never seen me in classes. I'm still surprised that I haven't seen you before just because of your scent. Then again, I know other wolves who have other things on their minds then just being friends.” So he was a Ravenclaw, then shouldn’t he be good at making potions? By the sounds of it, it didn’t seem he wasn’t that great, plus he was a seventh year and had more years of experience on her. She pushed the thought from her head, she was being stereotypical with the whole ‘Ravenclaws are smart and can do anything’ saying. She knew they were all smart in their own way. “Fifth Year
” she said softly as she stopped stirring, dug into the drawer again for some Ashwinder ash, the last ingredient to the potion before she had to let it sit for a day to brew. She hadn’t even noticed that he had turned away since she was so concentrated on making her potion. She was carefully sprinkling ashwinder ash into the potion until it turned a deep blue and then she stopped and stirred it once before pulling her stir stick out. Now to just let it sit, guess that meant that this boy would now have her full attention. “ Well, I guess that it's good that you're potions are really good, I've heard if you don't make it just right, that you can have some serious consequences...” She nodded in agreement, she had seen some serious cases caused by some of the students in her year and then a lot of people getting rushed off to the Hospital Wing. She remembered one day in her third year when someone’s had exploded and those within distance got covered in boils, including her. Plus her potion got ruined from it as well, causing her to be depressed for the rest of the day. “ But there are times that you screw up and it actually gets to be better than it was before. But really no one should try to make a potion differently unless they are like a complete expert,” she said softly as she pulled out a chair and sat down in it. She was exhausted, and not from making the potion either. She was never exhausted because of making potions. She was exhausted from all her other classes. Being her O.W.L. year the fifth years really got laid on with homework. She didn’t even want to think about the four foot essay she needed to write for History of Magic, or all the reading she had to do for Arithmancy. It was just too much sometimes. She looked up at the boy again, wondering if he felt the same way, it was his N.E.W.T. year after all and everyone says that those are ten times worse. “ My names Sabrina by the way. Sabrina Luna Lunel. And yours?” she asked lightly and slightly wondering why he hadn’t even asked what her name was in the first place. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Hector saw her add the last ingredient and remove the stirrer. Her attention could now be on him. Not that he wanted it on him or anything, but it was always nice to see that the person you're talking to was interested in conversation with you. She stood up and sat in a chair she pulled over, so he did the same, using one hand to man handle a plush chair over to where they were. Plopping down in it, he turned sideways and brought his legs up to rest on the arm of the chair.
She didn't seem to be too impressed with him. Maybe it was just her personality, but weren't Hufflepuffs supposed to be kind and friendly? She seemed... kind of like a robot. Like she had too much other stuff on her mind. Lounging in his chair Hector tried not to think of everything that was going on in his life right now. If he did that then he might not come back from that dark place. He had only one beacon of hope in his future right now, and it was a girl that he didn't even know. Closing his eyes he crossed his arms across his large chest and inhaled deeply.
Peeking an eye open at her, he listened. "I knew of a werewolf who took a bad batch of the wolfsbane potion and ended up getting silver poisoning due to the creator of the potion being horribly bad with them. Hence why I don't drink my own, I don't trust myself." Shrugging his shoulders, Hector looked at the ceiling. Actually, there was a point in time where he didn't trust himself with it because he felt that he would end up purposely putting too much silver in it.... But that was in the past and this was now.
In one rush Hector pulled his legs down over the arm of the chair to sit upright in it, his large hand extending out to shake her tiny one. Pleasure to meet you Miss Sabrina, you can call me Hector, Hector Wulfe." He smiled devilishly at her, hoping that he could at least get a reaction out of her. She needed to loosen up, have a little fun!

“I knew of a werewolf who took a bad batch of the wolfsbane potion and ended up getting silver poisoning due to the creator of the potion being horribly bad with them. Hence why I don't drink my own, I don't trust myself.” Sabrina nodded, she has heard of cases like that before. Most of them get to St. Mungo’s in time, but there are some who don’t and die quite a painful death. She shuddered at the thought knowing that wouldn’t happen to her for she knew how the potion needed to look in order for it be useable. She wasn’t one of the ones that took it anyways even if it didn’t look right. She didn’t want anything to happen to her after all, plus that would mean leaving her mother all alone and she didn’t want that.
“Pleasure to meet you Miss Sabrina, you can call me Hector, Hector Wulfe.” Sabrina shook his hand, it was definitely bigger than hers but it still had a small caring touch. She looked up at Hector, in his deep chocolate brown eyes. There was something in the way he shook her hand and the look in his alluring eyes that he was someone she’d be able to trust. There was something else she saw in his eyes, like he felt a bit alone like she did. Maybe, even though the two just met, there were a bit a like other than the fact that they were both part-werewolf. “Well it’s nice to meet you Hector
” she said softly as she let go of his hand, but part of her still wanted to hold it though she didn’t understand why. “ If you ever want to come here to just talk, you can. But just make sure you don’t touch the potions or let anyone else know about this place. Only a few people know and I rather keep it that way,” she whispered softly hoping that he’d understand her when she said that. This classroom was one of the few places that she could get away from everything for just a little while. It was sacred to her. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Hector leaned in his chair and watched Sabrina finish up her potion. She was very dedicated to her work, as was evident by the mass of potions that filled the unused classroom. He could see that she was practicing potions and keeping the good ones, and somehow disposing of all the bad ones. He enjoyed seeing the range of colors and vial shapes, intrigued that she'd gone to such lengths for her potions. It was pretty actually.
Sneaking a peek over at her, Hector watched her. Her long blonde hair was just sliding down her shoulder as she moved, her dainty little hands quickly roving over her items until she found what she needed. In silence he just watched her for a minute until she reached up to shake his hand. It fit just right in his, like they were made for each other. Grinning, glad to see that she was warming up to him, Hector took his hand back and reached it up to run a hair through his shaggy hair.
"Of course, I will keep this place a secret. It's always nice to have a place to go when things get tough." Hector stared into her blue eyes and smiled. "I wouldn't betray this spot to anyone. And rest assured, all of your potions will remain here, not a single one will leave. I would feel horrible if I mooched off of your work." He leaned back in his chair again, listening to the old wood protest the movement.

“Of course, I will keep this place a secret. It's always nice to have a place to go when things get tough.” she nodded with a smile, glad that he promised to keep the place a secret. And she would have to gree that it is always a good thing to have a place to go to when things got tough. That was how it was with her and this classroom. Working on potions helped soothe her mind. It was the perfect place to go to whenever she needed a distraction, or her mood swings were setting in thanks to the werewolf inside of her.
"I wouldn't betray this spot to anyone. And rest assured, all of your potions will remain here, not a single one will leave. I would feel horrible if I mooched off of your work.
[/s]” Sabrina giggled a bit at how he went on saying he wouldn’t mooch on her work. “ Well that’s a good thing, because if you did I’d have to curse you,” she said as she picked up her wand and waved it lightly in front of her. “ And trust me when I say you don’t want me to cast a curse on you, I’m pretty darn good at them, or so I’ve been told.” she chuckled lightly. It felt kind of good to laugh. She hadn’t been in the greatest mood lately, thanks to her little brother. But it was kind of weird that it was someone other than Nikko getting her to laugh. She was so used to Nikko always finding ways to make her laugh, even if it involved thinking up ways to kidnap her own brother. “ Well it was quite a nice chat with you Hector, but I’m afraid that I must get going,” she said as she stood up and then she headed over to a set of drawers she had in a corner. She opened the top one, the one that she used to only keep her supply of wolfsbane potion. She took out a smile vile before walking over to Hector and holding it out to him. “ I keep my supply of wolfsbane in that drawer. Here you can have this vial, just make sure to leave a note whenever you take some so I don’t freak out thinking someone’s come to steal my potions,” she said lightly.
