Hector looked at himself in the mirror. His hair was slicked to the side, his facial hair all magically removed. His chocolate brown eyes stared back at him, little flecks of gold swirling inside them. It was his wolf, excited for what this night would bring. He lifted his hands to straighten the navy colored tie he wore, then straightened his jacket as he lowered his hands. His black slacks were ramrod straight and his dress shoes were polished to shine. He grinned wryly at his reflection, noting that when he tried, he could clean up pretty well.
Walking to his nightstand, he picked up a navy colored velvet box, which he'd created himself with magic. Inside held a corsage made of blue hydrangeas and a single white rose in the center. He tucked it in a large expandable pocket in his jacket and tucked his wand up his sleeve for safe keeping. Walking from his dormitory, Hector walked alone down to the Great Hall, where the Yule Ball was going on. He was here to meet his date, someone that he (supposedly) hadn't met before. He did one last check of his wardrobe before he entered the Yule Ball, both hands pushing the heavy wooden doors open.
His perfect werewolf eyesight allowed him to see in the dimly lit room as if the hall was filled with candles. As it was, the few candles that were there were dimly lit, casting a shadowy glow on the hall. Snow fell silently all over, though it disappeared before piling on the ground. The ceiling of the Great Hall was pitch black with stars shining down on them. Headmaster Shacklebolt had really gone out of his way. Hector went to stand by an empty table, his hands holding the velvet box in front of him. With his back to the door, he wanted his date to be surprised. He wanted the Seer to be surprised at who he was, but in a good way. She knew he had color coordinated with her dress, so he would be hard to miss.a

Isabella was a bit nervous as she stood in front of the mirror. It was the night of the Yule ball, the night that she would be meeting up with her mysterious ‘Lonely Boy’. Her soft slender fingers touched the wolf ring that she wore around her neck, a present from him to use if she were ever in trouble. But she had told herself she hoped that she wouldn’t use it before she actually met him; she didn’t want to meet him in a way where she was in trouble. She smiled softly reaching up to fix a curl in her long chocolate brown hair before glancing down at her deep sapphire colored dress, she had to look perfect for she knew there was something about this guy. The way the two wrote to each other you would think that they were bound to be together, perhaps that was how it was going to be for them. And Isabella rarely thought about guys in general, but for some reason she did when it came to ‘lonely boy’ no matter how much she tried to push the idea of being with a guy he kept popping back up into her head.
Sure Isabella had been asked out by many, but she always politely turned them down. Wanting to be more focused on her studies she felt that dating would just be a distraction and would bring her grades down. And now being in her seventh year, the year she would be taking her NEWTS, you would think she tried her best to continue this routine of hers yet part of her said she couldn’t. But she told herself that if ‘lonely boy’ turned out to not be such a good person, she would forget boys entirely until she graduated and was settled into her job.
She then took one last look in the mirror and nodded to herself thinking she looked perfect before reaching over to her nightstand and grabbing the boutonniere off of it. The boutonniere was of blue hydrangeas and a single white rose, it would look much similar to the corsage she was to get from him, except his was to go on his coat and hers on her wrist so of course they had to be designed a bit differently, but still they would have the same theme.
She then headed out of the Ravenclaw Tower and descended the stairs that lead to the Great Hall. Her heart was racing in excitement to meet her ‘lonely boy’ yet at the same time she was still nervous. Finally she got to the Great Hall and softly pushed the doors opened and entered the room looking around at all the amazing decorations and enjoying the light snow that would never stay. The Hogwarts staff must have really outdone themselves this time. She noticed that people were starting to gather with their dates at tables waiting until it was time to dance. She knew the drill from being at the last Yule Ball three years ago with Raychel. The Champions were to dance first with their partners before the others moved on to the dance floor and begun to dance as well.
She glanced around looking for a guy that would be in a suit that matched her dress. She smiled as her eyes landed on a young man that she believed to be him. It had to be him because her heart was telling her that he was. Silently she walked up behind him before tapping him lightly on the shoulder. “Lonely Boy?

Hector was so nervous! What if the girl he was supposed to see ended up not liking him? What if those letters had all just been a game to her? He'd really put himself out there, something that he usually didn't do. He didn't like his feelings and emotions put out there for people to see. He felt like someone could use it to make him look weak. He crossed his arms and leaned against the wall. She would be here shortly. She would get here, and Hector would give her the flower bracelet, what was it called again? Oh yeah, a corsage. And then they would meet for the first time, face to face. Ever since they were sending letters back and forth, he had wanted to meet her. She sounded like he understood his plight.
Hearing footsteps approach him, and a wonderful scent filling his nose, Hector turned around to see a girl addressing him as Lonely Boy. He smiled, his lips turning up towards his eyes as he did so. He nodded his head slowly saying, "Heartfelt seer?" Extending his hands, he showed her the corsage that he'd gotten for her. He gently placed it upon her thin wrist and smiled, watching it bloom and grow on her wrist. Smiling, he bowed a little, one hand still reached out to wait for her's to fall into his.
"Would you care to dance?" He took her hand in his and pulled her onto the dance floor, his arms wrapping carefully around her waist. He knew that she was a Ravenclaw, but he couldn't think of her name, though he was pretty sure she was in his year. "So, I hope that you're not disappointed with who I turned out to be," he said, his deep brown eyes looking into her own eyes.

“Heartfelt seer?” so it was Hector, he was the mysterious boy who claimed to be ‘lonely boy’. Why hadn’t she talked to him much before? They were in the same year and house. Perhaps it was because she was always so busy wrapped up in her studies that the only person she only really made time for was her best friend Raychel Entwhistle. She knew that by doing this she had broken many boys’ hearts because she refused to be in a relationship. But what had changed this time? Was it because that somehow she saw herself in Hector as he had a similar problem that she had?
The corsage was as beautiful, if not more, as she thought it would be. She had held her arm out for him so that he could place in on her and then she took out the boutonniere made just for him and pinned it on his tuxedo jacket. “Would you care to dance?” she smiled as nodded lightly while his hands wrapped around her waist. She wondered if Hector even recognized her? She knew she kept to her studies, but at the same time she at least knew the names of everyone in her class. Why had she not known before that he was part-werewolf? She already knew the answer to that, it was because she never did pay attention to those kinds of things. “So, I hope that you're not disappointed with who I turned out to be,” she looked up at his deep brown eyes as she shook her head lightly. “Of course not Hector, why would I be disappointed?” she asked him lightly as she tilted her head to the side.
Was there a reason for her to be disappointed? She wasn’t sure. But all she knew was that she wasn’t. She just felt bad that she hadn’t gotten to know Hector before the first letter appeared out of nowhere. Perhaps she should get to know her classmates better, after all they had been taking classes together since their first year….

Her soft hand fell into his and Hector's eyes stared down into hers. Sure, he never talked to this girl before recently, but he knew her. Her warm brown eyes met back up with his and he smiled. Isabella Ackerley. She was as smart as Hermione Granger herself. He knew she spent most of her time in the library, and he definitely didn't, so there for he hadn't really seen her much. Twirling her in his arms, he couldn't remember a time when he was happier. She was his Heartfelt Seer. He was her Lonely Boy. Except he wasn't so lonely anymore. "Because Izzy, I'm not exactly the most model Ravenclaw. I beat someone up, and I'm half werewolf. I'm not exactly someone you bring home to mom," he said, then dipped her down with one arm, his super human strength. Pulling her back up, they were chest to chest, his eyes locked right on hers. "However, I feel very privileged to have been here with you tonight Izzy. Nothing could make this better." Smiling, Hector couldn't help but do it. Admittingly, she wasn't someone he ever saw himself with, but after their letter exchanges, and now meeting her tonight, he didn't see himself with anyone else.

“ Because Izzy, I'm not exactly the most model Ravenclaw. I beat someone up, and I'm half werewolf. I'm not exactly someone you bring home to mom,” she frowned slightly, she knew about this past incident, but she hoped that he wouldn’t dwell on it, dwelling on things only caused you to spiral on downwards. “However, I feel very privileged to have been here with you tonight Izzy. Nothing could make this better.” her frown quickly turned into a smile, quite glad that she could make things better for him. “Hector, you were blinded by betrayal and anger, what else were you to do but to act on your instincts? But I know that taking the potion will help you keep better control of your surroundings and I’m always here to help as well,” she whispered soflty as he twirled her lightly.
There was just something about Hector that drew herself to him now, but why hadn’t it drawn her in sooner? She blamed her studies for that, after all she spent most of her time doing that or hanging out with Raychel. No time for guys, just studying, working on her seer ability and spending time with her best friend. And that was all she needed then, but now she felt that perhaps having someone like Hector in her life would help her as well.

Hector smiled as he twirled her around in his arms. She was perfect. Her hair looked so beautiful tonight. And her could smell her true scent, something that warmed him to the core. She smelled so wonderful. His strong arms lifted her in the air, twirling her around. "Izzy, you have made my night amazing." He couldn't stop smiling. Not even when she mentioned the potion. The potion was going to help him get better anyways. He had started taking it, and now the fullmoon wasn't as unbearable. He still had his mind. He would keep it from now on. The potion was a part of him. And that Sabrina girl said she'd brew it for him and let him have some, so he didn't even have to make it himself.
"Izzy, I'm glad that you decided to come with me tonight. I don't know if I could have shown up with Maharet after what she did to me." He was still upset that she'd only used him to get what she wanted. He should have known that's what was going on though, since she had done that with most others in their house. She was a dirty cheater and she'd threatened his sister. She was dirt in his opinion now. He wanted nothing to do with her. Especially since he had Izzy now. Wait. Did he have her? Or were they just out?

Isabella smiled at Hector, he really did seem like a great guy and was quite glad he was the receiver of her letters. He seemed so kind and gentle, how could he ever worry that the werewolf inside of him would get to him? “Izzy, I'm glad that you decided to come with me tonight. I don't know if I could have shown up with Maharet after what she did to me.” she smiled again. Quite glad that he had decided to stop dating Maharet, from what she had seen and heard, she was a totally bitch. One of the people that Isabella would always try to avoid, there was definitely no good vibes coming off of her, there was no doubt in that.
“Well I’m glad you got up the courage to dump her. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have met such a great guy tonight,” she smirked lightly. But she wondered was this just a night out for the two of them? To get away from all the things that bothered them? Or will this newfound friendship grow into something more? She looked into Hector’s eyes. There was just something inside of them that warmed her up. They were caring, and she felt that she could trust him with all her heart. She hoped that even after tonight, they could continue hanging out and it wouldn’t have to be just letters to and from the heartfelt seer and lonely boy.
