The very first lesson for OWls is up. Please go post! Assignment is an essay of a minimum of 75 words on bowtruckles, where they are found, how to care for them, etc. Essays should be finished by the end of the day the class ends. Students should post in the class thread at least once before doing the essay. They can be posted in this thread or pm'd to Scarlett.

Bowtruckles by Roxanne Weasley
A bowtruckle is a magical creature that makes home in a tree. Only standing about eight inches high this creature is thought of as harmless, which is usual is, until one tries to harm their home or itself. Bowtruckles are considered to be tree guardians who will attack anyone who tries and take their tree/home. But a tree cutter can distract a bowtruckle with their favorite foods such as woodlice, fairy eggs, and doxy eggs. A bowtruckle is a pixie-like creature that has knobby legs and arms, with two sharp twig like fingers on each hand. Those fingers are used as weapons against people who disturb them. Their skin is made of bark which helps them blend into their natural habitat.
