Frankly, Chasity didn't see what all of the hype was about. The tournament had had the entire castle tied up since it had been announced at the beginning of the year. It was getting rather broing, hearing the same old conversations repeated as you walked through the hallway. 'Who's going to win?' 'Who's got the better team?' 'Who's going to fail miserably?' 'What's the first task going to be?' etc. It was all so repetitive! Sure, the tournament was probably the biggest event (so far) this year at the school, but that didn't mean that every single class and conversation in the halls had to be filled with useless chatter about the damned tasks and idiotic champions!
Yeah, the champions... Chasity didn't care for any of them. Sure, the Ravenclaw head boy/beater/champion kid (overachiever, much?) was pretty hot, but other than that all of the champions were pitiful, and even Jayce was rather pathetic in his own way. A potter as Gryffindor champion... how utterly predictable. And then a no name goth-like girl who was more creepy than she was a formidable opponent to accompany him... Gryffindor would be a breeze for any decent opposition to defeat. Hufflepuff was another bunch of no names, with a mudblood to boot. Yeah, they were probably the weakest group in Chasity's opinion. Sure, Ravenclaw had the head boy, but the girl was another sideline character that Chasity didn't care for at all. And then there was Slytherin... the Ravenclaw girl didn't have much confidence in their champions either, but if any house should get the glory it was Slytherin.
Because of her equal disdain for all houses, or their champions, Chasity was not dressed up in support for any house. Even if the Slytherin champions had been people she respected, and the entire team had their entire support, she wouldn't be dressing up. That was certainly not her style. She had debated over whether or not to even attend this event... but figured it might raise a few eyebrows if she didn't. All the little lemmings at Hogwarts were flocking to the task, and she didn't want to be the one lone person wandering through an empty Hogwarts.
There had been seating set up for the task, where Chasity found a place despite her late arrival and their already being packed full of students and adults alike. Apparently graduated wizards from near and far had come to the school to watch the first task. She didn't pay attention to who she was sitting around, just focusing her eyes on the starting point of the task to watch the show.
(So, this is intended to be a sort of... reaction thread. Of course, interactions are welcome too. This thread takes place during the first task, so if you want your characters to react or discuss something that happens during it... this would be a great place to do so.)

What was the fun of being a student at a magical school if you couldn't be a little bit geeky sometimes? Elijah didn't go all out for Quidditch matches, and admittedly this wasn't so extreme compared to some of the other wild outfits around the stands, but this was rather festive for Elijah. He was dressed in navy from head to toe. Navy jeans, a light blue and navy striped zip up sweater, Ravenclaw scarf, Ravenclaw fingered mitts, and a navy blue fedora with the Ravenclaw raven symbol knitted to its side. Sure, it wasn't too extreme, but by merely looking at Elijah it was clear that he had his support behind Ravenclaw 100%. Why shouldn't he? Sure, he had family in other houses, but neither of his brothers were champions for their respective houses and he would be far happier supporting his own house to theirs. Family loyalty didn't go that far.
A better reason for his loyalty to the Ravenclaw team, moreso than just 'it's my house' was that he'd known one of the Ravenclaw champions, Jayce, for many years now. They'd been sorted into the same house together the same year when they were eleven years old, but hadn't gotten to really know each other before Elijah began dating Molly, who happened to be Jaycen's best friend. The beater had, at that point, given Elijah a hell of a time to prove himself 'worthy enough' to date Molly, which Elijah now supposed was pretty good. He couldn't blame the guy for just wanting to make sure that his best friend was matched with a good guy. He would do the same, probably, had he any close close female friends.
Elijah joined the mass crowds of students after breakfast heading to the lake and the stands surrounding the area of the first task. He wasn't quite sure what the task was, but was sure that Jayce and his partner, Claire, would have it covered. Wasn't Ravenclaw the stereotypical smart house? Between Jaycen and Claire they should have a good knowledge of enough spells to handle any obstacle that may come their way. Of course they'd have the entire Ravenclaw house on their side cheering them on, too. Well, almost all... as Elijah walked into the stands he immediately recognized one face, Chasity Amethyst, sitting there with a sullen look on her face. Something was not right with that girl, to put his opinion of her lightly. She never cracked a smile, more like glared at everyone as though the entire world was against her... oh well, as long as he didn't associate with her, she didn't give him any trouble. Elijah selected a seat a ways away from her, and relaxed to watch the task, wondering if anyone would come along to watch with him.

alexis glanced about the area of seats as she walked into the viewing gallery, catching sight of several open seats toward the back corner and knowing that they were hers. oh there was nothing to say that they were hers, but they were the seats she wanted. she weaved toward them, ignoring everyone else within the vicinity - as if they were worthy of talking to her. she took one glance down at the spectators and noted that none of them did she like, and so she ignored them.
she made to sit, perching on the seat and crossing one leg over the other, glancing at the surroundings and raising an eyebrow. why was she here you might ask. she felt little loyalty to even her own house, whther she was a proud slytherin or not. she cared little .. in fact nothing.. for the other houses, and she didn't really bother to be here at all. she would say she came to 'support malfoy and kelsey' though she didn't really care what happened in the task. indeed she felt some stirring of loyalty, and a little voice thought that slytherin better damn well win this - just for the fact that it would be humiliating if they did not - but honestly, she wasn't all that fussed.
she wondered vaugely if anyone she actually liked would turn up, a small thought that hopefully someone would, just to stop herself from being so bored, but who knew really. she wasn't bothered about company or being social, and if she had to sit and endure the darn task by herself then so be it, she refused to branch out to the silly ravenclaws around her. she knew neither of the ravenclaws around personally, though she recognised the red headed girl as some sort of slytherin idoliser or something of the sort. well if she hadn't been good enough to get into slytherin then that happened to be her fault didn't it. alexis sighed, the sound filled with bordem as her cold gaze flickered about her and she hoped the whole thing would be over and done with soon.

Gisele was excited about the first task, though she didn't show it on the outside. She knew Demetrius would refuse to sit anywhere near her if she decided to wear all green and paint her face. Of course, she would never do such a thing, that would just look horrible, though, yes, she was supporting the Slytherin Champions. Instead of writing 'SLYTHERIN RULES' on her forehead, like a big dummy, she decided to wear casual jeans, a black top and a green scarf and gloves.
The gloves weren't originally going to be part of her outfit, but she knew the weather wasn't very pleasant and she would not miss one second of the task to go back down to the dungeons to get the gloves. Instead, she handed them to Demetrius as soon as she saw him in the common room and her brother knew that once again, he would be stuck carrying her stuff. Gisele knew, though, that Dem wouldn't argue or refuse to hold them for her. He adored her and she always took advantage of that.
"Let's go," she said with a sweet smile and pulled his arm the whole way to the lake. As soon as they got there, she found some empty seats near some Ravenclaws and a girl from Slytherin.
Gisele let go of her sibling's arm and looked around at the people near her. She avoided eye contact with the older Ravenclaw girl, but her eyes could not avert Elijah Frost. She wasn't looking at him to see how adorable he was, no. He was covered in navy, who would not look at that?

Why was Demetrius here? One word; ladies. Yes, as expected, Demetrius was just here to check all of the female Champions out. Claire and Yori were adorable, very cute, but Theia just blew the competition if it were based on looks. And Alaya.. Oh, Alaya. Demetrius always found her to have this different kind of beauty, very natural and elegant. Yeah, Dem was sure enjoying the view from up here. He could see all of the girls with their partners, Claire Gable, however, looked like she was about to pass out.
He looked over at his sister now, to make sure she was behaving, though, really Gisele would probably have to be the one to make sure he was behaving. He reached inside his pockets and felt the gloves. Taking them out, he reached over, placing them on Gisele's hand and shook his head at her. She was absolutely right. Dem adored this kid more than anything, he would do whatever it took to protect her, so he was like her butler sometimes. He didn't mind. She was his little princess.
Demetrius heard the signal that indicated the beginning of the task and he leaned back in his seat. This would definitely be a treat. To him, it didn't matter who ended up in first place, he was just looking forward to another celebration.

Like most of the students at Hogwarts Mason had caught the infection of excitement because of the tournament. Since the day it had been announced he'd been looking forward to the first task, and his excitement only grew when the champions were announced. Mason had never been more proud of his house, honestly, than he had been on that day. There were two muggleborn champions in the tournament this year, and both happened to be Hufflepuffs. That was seriously awesome, in Mason's opinion. It proved that muggleborns were a lot more than pitiful jealous Slytherins thought of them. He hoped, more than anything, for victory for his house, but not necessarily because of his house. No, he hoped for victory for the Hufflepuffs because theni t would prove, once and for all, to the idiotic blood purists that yes, muggleborns could accomplish something awesome. Slytherin's precious pureblood Malfoy wouldn't be able to compare to them, and nor would Jaycen Tate or Alaya Tiaun. Every single other house was made of a pureblood and a halfblood, but if Hufflepuff beat them all with just mudbloods Mason would be carefully watching the faces of all blood purists for the next few days. Not that he really had anything against the pureblood champions... he was sure they were all rather nice people, he just didn't like what some people thought their blood status stood for.
His thoughts rambled on and on as he joined the students heading to where the task would be held. He made his way up to the bleachers, dressed in jeans and a black shirt, but could see no other hufflepuffs seated in the area. That was fine with him, he wanted to enjoy the task and didn't have to be surrounded by housemates to do so, so he picked a place on the bleachers and sat down to enjoy the show.
