I dunno if you'll even read this or if you'd have time to reply with all your work. Anyways the Goblet of Fire ceremony was a few days ago, boy wasn’t that interesting. You know Theresa Kelsey; well she got chosen to represent Slytherin. I know many were expecting me or Albus to be chosen and I must say it was quite a surprise that she got chosen. Well that was all great and for the other 3 champions, not a single Potter or Weasley was chosen, surprised, yea so was I. Dunstable got chosen though, he's not a bad kid, and I wish him well.

But hey here's the real kicker, Headmaster Shacklebolt announced a surprise just as we were about to leave. The houses were going to have 2 champions. Well you should have been in the great hall then Father. Come time to announce the Slytherin's second champion and guess what, I got chosen. Of course I probably should be happier than I am, guess it still sinking in. Oh and there just had to be a Potter chosen too, James bloody Potter. I swear I can’t do anything without him being there trying to beat me, like that's ever going to happen.

We still have no idea how the professors are going to run it, having a total of eight champions and I think that's the main question everyone's asking, besides wanting to know what the first task is. It would be great to do a team challenge. Although Theia isn’t really a team player, she's a strong competitor and well even if its individual events, as long as I get to deflate Potter's ego by winning or even beating him in challenges, it would be all worth it.

Anyways, everything else at Hogwarts is going fine, although there was an attack on a student just before the goblet ceremony: Hugo Weasley. I swear every time you turn around, there's a Weasley nearby. No one knows who done it or why, not even the Gryffindor himself. I do have suspicions that it might have been someone from Slytherin though, I mean why would a Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw want to attack someone and I’m sure Gryffindor wouldn’t want to injure one of their own, especially with quidditch season approaching. I'll be careful though. Theia, Al and I will be watching each other’s backs.

Well I’m glad to hear that you got chosen to represent Slytherin with Theresa. And yes, for the first few tasks I believe they will be with the other champion of your house. Professor Shacklebolt was the one to come to me with the idea and told me about it and I agreed that it would be a good thing for there to be teams this year. It will be interesting to say the least, and I shall be there at all of the tasks acting both as the Minister to make sure nothing goes wrong and as your father hoping the best for you. I know that you will do well because I believe in you son and I know that even though Albus didn’t get chosen he’s going to be right there helping you and Theresa out and cheering you two on. And don’t worry about James, I’m sure you’ll be able to beat him.

Ah yes, I heard about the attack on Mr. Weasley. It’s a shame that it happened to such a nice kid. I know I may not have been friendly with the Potters or Weasleys in my past, but things have changed and I believe we’re getting along better. But I was notified instantly by Professor Longbottom as he was the one to have found him. I know that both Harry Potter and Hermione Weasley had instantly taken off from work when the received word and I believe Ronald Weasley did as well, he was out in the field that day. We are investigating into that and I just hope that it’s a little prank done by one of the other Slytherins because of the upcoming match. Though it isn’t right, I rather it be that than something major to where all students have to watch their backs at all time. But I know that you, Albus and Theresa will always look out for each other, but just in case keep me posted on anything you find out of the ordinary. However, I don’t want the three of you going out and looking for trouble, I know that Albus’s father may have done that when he was a kid, but it did get him into a lot of trouble and I rather it not happen to any of you.

As for managing the eight champions, I know the Professors worked hard on this. I’ve had many meeting with both Professor Shacklebolt and Professor Longbottom over the summer about the Hogwarts Tournament. I’m sure you will love how it pans out this year and enjoy every minute of it. I know that you probably know this already since the last tournament was three years ago when you were in school, but the Yule Ball is this Christmas, I’m assuming you’re staying at Hogwarts for Christmas then. Well at least I hope you are, as that’s something I wouldn’t want you to me. Are you going to be taking Miss Aubrey McNeal to the ball this year? How are the two of you doing so far? I hope you’re going to be watching out for her as well, especially if the attack turns out to be for another reason I’m afraid that Muggleborns will have to watch their backs. I know that Mr. Weasley isn’t a Muggleborn, but there are many blood purists out there that would consider him a blood traitor, thus those people would need to watch out as well. But let’s just hope this isn’t the case.

Headmaster Shacklebolt went to you about the tasks, he never mentioned anything about that, then again he hasn’t mentioned much. How can Slytherin possibly loose then in the team challenges and I agree it will definitely be interesting, perhaps the other schools will catch on and begin doing their own tournaments like ours, it'd be nice to say that I was a part of something that others copied and in turn went into history.

You're going to come, oh I thought you might have been extremely busy around this year, I know mother's always busy with her job. In fact do you know if she's going to come, I mean she doesn’t have to if she's too stressed with her work and all, it’s just I don’t wanna stress her out anymore than she already is, just having you and Al there cheering me and Theia on would be enough.

Ah yes I kinda feel sorry for Al, after all both of his best friends got chosen and not to mention his pathetic brother, but yes you're right, Al would definitely help us, and he's not the only one who wants to show everyone that Slytherins are just as good, if not better. Oh I’m definitely going to beat Potter, even if it is the last thing I ever do, I just want to wipe that smirk clean off his face, I wanna see him fall from grace.

Oh I suppose you would have heard before now. The Potters and Weasleys are great except for a certain couple, after all I’m sure if you still felt that way you wouldn’t have an undersecretary with the last name of Weasley. How is it at the ministry, I hope you're not working everyone to the ground? Anyways I too hope it was some prank that went wrong, I can’t imagine having it as the other scenario, after all why would they choose now, the wizarding world has been in peace for years, why would anyone want to disturb the peace? Of course Father, I’ll owl you immediately if there is anything else wrong, although you said you were going to be here soon, maybe you could check everything out whilst your here. Father, I’m not you nor Mr Potter when the both of you were my age, I don’t look for trouble, although it always seems to find me and Al, but I promise we'd definitely be very careful.

I guess I would have known that if I had spent more time at home last summer, I don’t suppose you could give me hints on the tasks, I mean it’s not cheating, you'll just be helping me and Theia's chances of winning increase. Oh I completely forgot about the Yule ball although it is most likely that I’ll be staying here over Christmas. As for taking Aubrey to the ball, I’ll just have to wait and see. I’m not going to jump too fast and say I’m taking her, the ball's still a while away and anything could happen during that time, I hope not but you now he father, I’m a realist.

Me and Bree, we're going good, even though she dragged me into Puddifoot's the other week. Which reminds me, how can you say no to a woman when they turn to you with the 'puppy dog eyes' as they like to call it, how can you resist saying yes to them like that? Of course I’d watch out for her too, although I’m sure her friends are doing the same and watching out for her, although it would have been so much easier if she were in the Slytherin dorms instead. So you have suspicions that the attack could be something more serious involving muggleborns and blood traitors? That doesn’t sound good. I won’t say anything yet and pray that it is a prank that went horribly wrong.
