Yeah I’m quite surprised that I got chosen myself. I thought for sure that my best friend Nate Greyback would. But none-the-less I hope to do Hufflepuff proud. Dad told me once that you were in a tournament as well? What was it like? And Grandpa, well he’s doing fine. He’s really been liking my Model airplanes and cars lately. I don’t know when was the last time you’ve been there, but I’ve been enchanting the ones that I put together that he bought for me and he has a couple of them.

But anyways, I now have the tasks and Quidditch at hand as well as school work, and it doesn’t look like the Professors plan on making our loads lighter, so I think I’ll be quite busy this year. Thank goodness it isn’t my fifth or seventh year. I don’t know how I could handle doing N.E.W.T.s or O.W.L.s as well as all of this.

But other than that. How have you been? Is work at the office keeping you busy?

Don't you worry yourself. I'm sure you'd do brilliantly. Just be careful with the tasks and don't forget to be prepared. Yeah, I was in a tournament as well. Though some things were a bit different than what you're have at Hogwarts right now. There were only three of us for starters... well there was supposed to be only three until the goblet coughed up my name. Other schools came over to Hogwarts, too.

Have you heard of the attack on Hugo? The office went whack when we received the report about it. I may drop over to check the situation myself soon. In the mean time, watch out for yourselves. It's not a good idea to go chasing for trouble-- trust me. The investigation has been keeping me and your uncle Ron very busy.

That's wonderful to hear. Maybe I'll get to see your model airplanes this holidays. I'll have to talk to your aunt Ginny about that. No doubt Albus would love the idea though! And how has my boys been? I trust you bunch have been watching out for Lily?

Yeah that’s right; Albus mentioned something about it being a Triwizard Tournament when you were at Hogwarts. I think it would be neat to see the other schools, but apparently they had found that out to be too much of a hassle. I just hope that Grandpa and Grandma decide to come out to the school so that they can see me do at least one of the tasks. I’ve been getting closer to Grandpa now that he’s realized that being a wizard isn’t a bad thing at all. It’s a shame that he thought the opposite when you were a kid. I really love magic! Dad and Mum are always wanting to know what I’m learning to and I bring home potions to show them and they love watching me fly on my broom. Did you know that Dad actually bought me the new Icebolt right before the start of term? I honestly can’t wait to use it in the first game! Our first game is against Ravenclaw, but it isn’t until November. But the Gryffindor vs. Slytherin match is in October, that should be a fun match to watch.

And yeah I did here about it. I was wondering why Hugo hadn’t shown up to the ceremony, he was really excited to go too. I feel bad, and it sucks that he doesn’t even know who did it. At least that’s what Professor Longbottom had said. I haven’t visited him yet, but I plan to. Then there’s the fact that there’s been a search for his toad Hooper, he went missing! And I know Hugo and his toad, he really likes his toad and I always see Hooper hoping along behind him or sitting on his shoulder. I hope that someone does find him and give him back.

As for Albus, he’s doing okay but I think things have been bothering him lately. It seems that people are blaming the Slytherins automatically for the attack and James and Albus are arguing again. Albus says he’s sick of people automatically blaming Slytherin and that not all Slytherins are bad. But apparently no one really wants to listen. But I agree with Al, I mean him Thersea and Scorpius are always fun to be around. But other than that, he’s been keeping to himself. I think it’s because of the upcoming Quidditch match. He really looks like he wants to beat Gryffindor and show up James.

But I bet the office is in the uproar about the attack, especially since no one even knows who did it. I think Hugo’s mind got erased, but I’m not sure. I don’t even know why someone would want to attack Hugo. He’s such a nice kid!

Dear Dunstable,

Bringing over Beauxbaton and Durmstrang students posed a great challenge for the Hogwarts professors that time. A lot of adjustments were made to accommodate the horde of students that came to Hogwarts. But we didn't have to worry because the staff really did their job so I was able to concentrate on finding out how to go through my task without a glitch. I think this year's tournament would be as interesting as the Triwizard now that everyone can join. A lot of students in my time tried really hard to break the rules set for joining, like Fred and George.

You know, I'm quite familiar to the feeling of no family supporting you in things like that. And to be completely honest, I haven't considered uncle Vernon and aunt Petunia as family for a long time. My present relationship with them is at the best point it ever has. So it wouldn't matter if they went to watch me then; they're just like some sort of acquaintances for me. It's important to value your friends. They'll be the ones who would be by you whatever. Of course things have changed, and I'm in good terms with your dad. Dudley's a really great man and I'm sure you're aware of that. He bought you an Icebolt? I bet other students are insanely jealous of you! I'll come over to Hogwarts see all of you on the tournament. Hopefully I could give you some moral support, yeah?

Hooper's missing? This sounds like something that has happened before. But we can't jump to conclusions. I'll try my best to keep all of you informed though it'll only be a vague. I can't give anything vital in case my owls get intercepted. I just hope to Merlin that no more attacks happen and that we'll get to stop this mess at once. No parent would want anything like what happened to Hugo on their kids. No kid deserves that cruelty.

I've always told Albus that Slytherin wasn't really as bad as they say. But I know prejudices take a long time to disappear. Accusing people of something as terrible as what was done to Hugo is a very risky thing to do. I'm glad that you know better than to point fingers at people and judge them. Unfortunately, it seems the rest of Hogwart's population doesn't think as you do. Arguing eh? Those two have always been like that. Everything is a competition to them, and I mean everything. But it never has gotten out of hand, not with me and your aunt Ginny around. It's good that he's focused on his team, but he shouldn't over work himself.

Duns, can I ask you something? Albus seems a bit cold... don't be confused, he has always been the quiet one but it's a bit different right now. It's like he's hiding something for me and shows no wish to let me know. He's behaving like an Albus I've never met in my whole life. What am I missing? I don't remember doing something to upset him as much... I hope you could help me.

Oh wow, I bet that it really did pose a great challenge. But I think it would still be fascinating! I think it would be cool if they did what they do in the Muggle World. They go to other schools to compete against in Sports. I think it would be neat to do that with Quidditch! But then again, that would probably be a huge hassle here as well seeing as the schools are so far apart compared to the Muggleworld.

Yeah Dad told me what it was like when you two were kids. He says he feels bad about it and that ever since he was fifteen and you saved him from those creepy dementors that the way he thought of you changed. He told me everything about that night, and he told me how when the Dark Lord back then had risen and the spell on your house would break when you turned seventeen, you had a couple of Aurors hide them. Grandpa still said he wish it was Professor Shacklebolt that were the ones to guard them. He was actually amazed when I told him that Professor Shacklebolt was now our Headmaster.

A toad has gone missing before? I thought that people didn’t really like toads all that very much. Hugo is one of the few people I’ve seen that really likes his toad. But I still think it’s strange to take a toad.

Yeah that prejudice thing, there’s a few in Slytherin that make fun of me because I’m a Muggleborn, but the I remind them that I have cousins that are witches and wizards. Some of them shut up, but there’s on girl that doesn’t. I can’t think of her name right now though, she’s a seventh year Slytherin. But I think her family is the whole “Purebloods are the best” type. Cause I know Albus said there are quite a few out there like that.

James and Albus… Well I think at school they get out of hand. James does make fun of him a lot for being a Slytherin and often says he’s the outcast of the family. Albus says he’s sick of being compared to his brother all the time. He tells me that he rather be himself and focus on the things he likes, but it’s a constant reminder from people that he isn’t like the rest of his family. Then of course there’s the fact that James can’t seem to get over the fact that Albus is friends with Scorpius. I mean I’ve heard of the stories of when you were going to school with Scorpius’s father, but James can’t seem to get over the fact that Scorpius isn’t like his father either.

Then he always mentions how at home he always hears how great Gryffindor is and everything. I think he’s focused in on making sure that Slytherin gets the Quidditch Cup this year to prove that Slytherin can beat Gryffindor as well. I think he’s beginning to feel more distant from you because he’s friends with Scorpius as well. I think that he thinks that you think he shouldn’t be friends with Scorpius because of who his father is. But it seems a lot of people are judgmental these days, I like both Scorpius and Theresa they are always so nice to me. I think that they are good best friends for Albus.

Quite right. Imagine having to fund golden horses, huge carraiges and enormous ships every year just for a Quidditch match. Although it would be very exciting, I think schools should focus on educating young people like you instead. Well would you look at that... didn't know Big D had a big sentimental side to share with you all those. I'm only kidding of course. I had my own moment of realization when, just before we parted days prior my seventeenth birthday, he told me he didn't ever think that I was a waste of space. His words really did mean a lot for me even if your dad wasn't that articulate.

Oh sorry... what I meant by that is a pet has gone missing before, and those times were almost as strange as it is now. You are a brilliant boy, Dunstable. And perhaps you already know that you must not ever underestimate the things someone capable of magic can do and how much they are willing to push all boundaries and limitations just to get what they want. Yes, even if it means that they have to somehow use a toad to carry out whatever twisted mission they have in mind.

Sadly, many people remain ignorant of their own society and are blinded by old and irrational prejudices. We're all our own person. Our decisions make us, not the things we don't have control over. It's never anyone's fault to be Muggleborn and there is nothing wrong with it. The same goes for being Pureblood and Slytherin, too. It's great to hear that you're getting along with everyone. As for the girl who's giving you a hard time, just hang on. She'll eventually tire of name calling. If not, well think of it this way: you'll only be seeing her until the end of the school year.

This is the first time I've heard of this, Duns. I feel completely disappointed with James. He isn't supposed to behave that way. The competition that goes with being in opposing Quidditch teams I understand, but not the personal fights. Albus is his own brother and family is family no matter what. I don't get James' behavior; Albus has never been that rude to him. And to call Albus an outcast in the family... that's just too much. I didn't wish this pressure on my own children and all I ever wanted was to let them discover the world by themselves with nothing of this sort holding them back. I must talk to the two of them.

It's hard for me to believe that all this time, I was oblivious to everything that was going on between my own children. I should've been more supportive... I should have made my presence more known. And I never knew my own relationship with Scorpius affected Albus that much. I admit that I never was in friendly terms with his dad, there was too much to forget. But I should try now on. For everyone's sake.

I'm sorry for burdening you with my own problems, Dunstable. You're a great nephew. Good thing Big D raised you well. I'll be seeing you soon. Show 'em what you got. Best of luck with everything!

Wow that would be crazy, yet it would be a sight to see! You were so lucky Uncle Harry! I really wish I could see something like that. Well maybe with the upcoming Quidditch World Cup this summer we’ll see something amazing! I managed to convince my parents to let me go with Nate this summer and I honestly can’t wait! I don’t want to have to wait another four years to see it.

Oh, well so far it’s only one attack, so maybe it will be just this once? Who knows, it could just be some sort of prank on the Gryffindors. You know how Gryffindor and Slytherin are, and they do have their upcoming match. I know that Al wouldn’t send a Slytherin after the Gryffindor team, but I’m sure there’s a few that would act on their own.

Yeah it’s a good thing that, that Slytherin girl is gone at the end of the year. Perhaps Al knows her name, cause I honestly have no idea who she is. But oh well it doesn’t matter, I pretty much ignore her anways.

I know that pasts can reflect on future relationships and often people don’t realize what they are doing until something happens. As for with James, well I know that Al tries to avoid him as much as possible, but it seems with the upcoming Quidditch Match its kind of hard. But I think Al’s hanging in there, and then there’s the fact that James got made champion whereas Al didn’t of course that means James is going to show that he’s better that Albus by bringing that up. But it was Scorpius and Theresa that made it in and those are Al’s two best buds so I’m sure the three of them will work on it together anyways.

And don’t worry about it Uncle Harry. You can always tell me those things and I can give you an outside opinion as well as let you know what’s going on between the two of them. I’m sure one day they’ll get better, but I’m not sure when.
