THE MASQUERADE BALL INFO THREAD

Ah yes, the event that many have been waiting for, I’m sure you’re all wondering who you are going to get partnered up with aren’t you? Well first of all, you’ll find out in this here thread. Once you have found out you should PM that person and decide who will start the thread and such. Now, unfortunately when it comes to students you may only thread with the person you are partnered up with. Professors are free to RP with whomever they choose.

Next thing on the list. What if the person whom you are partnered up with never responds to your PM? Well than PM Kaptain Kassy and let her know so that those whose partners have mysteriously vanished can get partnered up together.

What if you didn’t post in time to get yourself on the list? Easily fixed. PM Kassy if you want your character to partake in this event and she’ll partner you up with the next person that PM’s her saying that they want their character in the event as well. On that note, if you are not partnered up with anyone and you are a student, please do not post in this board. Only Kassy can partner people up, so you can’t just go in with someone and claim you are partnered up.

Remember that everyone is wearing masks and they aren’t taken off until “midnight” as for when midnight it, well I would say that really depends on how fast you are with your thread. Together the two of you can decide when it’s time for it to be “midnight” and your masks come off to see who it is that you got partnered up with. Unless of course your characters told each other who they were or you decide together how they find out and such. Don’t just have your character figure out who it is right away. Everyone is disguised after all!

Now the Ball is held in the Great Hall, but instead of the usual four house tables and a head table, there are a lot of small two person square tables. Each of the tables are marked with what number they are. The decorations around the Hall are like that of a renaissance theme. As students enter the hall they will be given a number and on the wall is a chart that says what numbers are at what table. (which will be the next posts) There are menus at each of the tables and you just tell the plate before you what you want and it’ll magically appear. There is a bar that has Butterbeer, Pumpkin Juice, and other drinks. All Non Alcoholic! This is a school event, so no alcohol is to be involved!

That should be pretty much it. Remember to have fun! And I hope you all enjoy this experience! Perhaps we’ll be able to do it again the next school year depending on how successful this one is!
