EYE COLOUR: Bright blue
HEIGHT: 5'6"
WEIGHT: 115 lbs.
PERSONAL STYLE: In general, she tends to accessorize in the way of the expensive side due to her family's money. Since arriving at Hogwarts, she has familiarized herself with casual Muggle clothing that she has discovered to be quite comfortable.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Due to her acute sense of vanity, Josceline is rarely seen without at least some prior pampering. She has dark brown hair that fall to just past her shoulders that is almost always styled in some way. Her pale skin is peppered with freckles. If there was one thing that she could wish away, it would be her freckles. The paleness of her skin is not only something that is maintained, but it is also something that she can do very little to change. If she were to try and tan, Josceline has found that it results in burned and peeling, red skin.

BIOGRAPHY: It has always been whispered among folks that the birth of Josceline Avalon Nott was not planned. The dirtier of rumours indicated that her conception was the very reason why Theodore Nott and Daphne Greengrass married in the first place. Whether or not these whispers and rumours had any merit did not seem to bother Theodore Nott since baby Josceline ensnared her father with her wide bright blue eyes the first time he saw her. From that moment on, her father was hooked in his own gruff way. Josceline quickly became the prize daughter, the daughter who would carry their family name into the light with her sweetheart looks. As the ultimate daddy's girl, she was given all that she ever wanted and then more. Naturally, she became one of the most spoiled brats ever by the time she was a year old. But the arrival of her younger sister lessened her father's exclusive attention. As expected, baby Josceline did not take kindly to her younger sibling. She did much as she could to take the spotlight and attention from her younger sister. Gradually, she was weaned off of her father's extreme spoiling. But even years later would see the effects of her father's spoiling.
As the years went by, Theodore Nott became more and more absent from the household for work reasons (or so they were told and Josceline refused to believe otherwise). His absence did much to temper Josceline's spoiled nature since her mother did not favour and spoil her like Theodore. This was also when they discovered her vicious temper. In contrast to her relationship with her father, Josceline and her mother never really got along that well, even though she holds a great deal of respect for her mother. Daphne was of the opinion that Theodore spoiled their daughter rotten (which he was), but as the receiver of these gifts and attention, Josceline did not share this opinion. It would not be uncommon for Daphne to take her father's gifts from her. His absence also required that her mother and a governess did much to keep up with her proper education including dance and music. It was here that Josceline truly flourished. She poured her heart and soul into dance and her music. Her musical talents ranged widely, but she loved none as much as versatility of the piano and the haunting echo of the cello. Honed through her studies and her father's absence, Josceline's innate sweet nature really had a chance to shine through. Soon she became overly concerned with the idea that hard work was required for results. It was always joked among her family that if she kept this up, she would be sorted into Hufflepuff.
Like any other pureblood child, Josceline was very excited to go to Hogwarts like her parents. It was during her sorting that her whole world turned upside down. The moment her family had received word of her sorting, the whole family dynamic had changed, and the rumours of her heritage brought into question once more. She was now the black sheep of the family instead of its golden prize. She was sorted off to a house that no one in her family had been sorted before. With the help of a few open-minded (and ignorant) individuals, she managed to integrate into the Hufflepuff house. Although she was initially upset with the result, she has grown to love her housemates and has found that she fit in with the rest of them (even if she was never entirely certain why she was sorted into Hufflepuff).

RP SAMPLE:
While others may have found the bitter cold too much to handle, Dominique rather enjoyed it. It bit at her cheeks, bringing colour to her cheeks while her fingers slowly became numb in the cold. There was beauty to be found that snow and ice brought to the landscape; she couldn't help but admire it. Hence the reason for her walk. While the lake was beautiful in all is icy and snowy glory, it was also bone-chillingly cold outside. Dominique was hoping that the cold would keep most people inside thus leaving her alone to ponder her thoughts. In fact her hopes were based on the Gryffindor common room close to reaching maximum occupancy, thus giving it a startlingly strong resemblance to family reunions: cramped and just too much to take at one time. It wasn't until she had broken free from the crowded space and out in the corridors that she had started to feel a bit better. From there, she had eventually ventured out into the cold by the lake where she was now.
For someone who grew up around cousins who thought it was hysterical when one emerged from the shower with green hair or when one started sputtering out distasteful bird feathers, Dominique was surprisingly unreceptive to such antics. If anything, she disliked them greatly and hoped that she may never see her red-blonde locks succumb to that horror of a colour that was bright neon green. In fact, it made her feel a bit sick to even think of that time. It had taken forever for her to track down the mischevious prankster to reverse it due to the fact that there simply were too many of them roaming around the household. That prank alone was enough to make her dislike the whole thing altogether. It make her wish that her cousins were not quite so content to go around pulling pranks everywhere and using her as an occasional fun victim. However, wishes seemed to give little of the desired effect; after all, it was always funner to have a victim that unwilling and more likely to make more of a fuss. How she wished all pranksters didn't live by that rule. Plain and simple, Dominique was, in no way, a fan of pranks despite it apparently being a majority of her family's way of life.
Hence the reason why she was so annoyed to find herself suddenly lifted off the ground and suspended upside, yelping at the unexpected motion. While it only took a few seconds for the incident to occur, Dominique could feel the adrenaline running through her veins from the sudden movement. The sudden change in gravity also had the unfortunate effect of pulling her wand out of her reach and towards the snowy path, where it clattered gently. Huffing annoyedly at her current predicament, she pushed her cloak and robes out of the way enough to see what it was that had her suspended in the air as she was. It didn't take too much effort to see that it was simple rope that held her in this position. How amateur. But as amateur as this 'prank' was, there was still the fact that Dominique had fell for it. Perhaps that was why she felt so much annoyance surge through her when she saw that rope.
Dominique cast an irritated glance at her surroundings, absolutely sure that the perpetrator was in the general area, searching for even the slightest movement. After all, the 'best' part of being a prankster was watching the results unfold. She was also almost positive that it was one of her cousins as they were the usual suspects. “Alright you got me. Now let me down,” she called out, irritation clearly colouring her tone. “Lucy? Roxanne? James?” After a few seconds of silence, she grew a bit doubtful that it was any of them playing this prank, especially if they hadn't revealed themselves yet. “Riley? Ryleigh?” Or maybe one of her roommates who had always had this irritating inclination towards pranking. Merlin, she was surrounded by pranksters and it was something that she did not appreciate in the least.
