[atrb=width,240] elijah hoped that it was a sign of a good relationship between himself and molly, even after years, which just didn't seem to allow his nervousness to fade away. he felt like a giggly little fourth year on his first date with the girl he'd been crushing on for the last two years, and he couldn't really explain why. he was usually so comfortable around molly... that should probably go without saying. but today he was just a bundle of jittery nerves, wanting every moment of this evening to be absolutely perfect for his girlfriend. that included, apparently, his appearance as he spent a ridiculous amount of time (for a guy) straightening his tie and making sure every bit of his outfit was absolutely perfect. of course molly wouldn't care what he looked like. in all their years of being together he couldn't remember a single time when she had ever seriously criticized what he looked like, but he still wanted to make sure that everything about their evening was flawless. one thing that he knew would be perfect no matter what was the girl of the hour. he couldn't wait to see what sort of an appearance molly sported tonight, or what sort of stunning gown she had chosen for the occasion. she could wear jeans, for all he really cared, and still be the most beautiful girl at the ball, but he didn't think that that would be her style for such a big event. he enjoyed their little dates to madame puddifoot's or the lake or anywhere around the castle they wanted to be, but it was nice to have an organized event to spend a bit of time at. once satisfied with his appearance for the evening, elijah set out of the ravenclaw tower, walking down the steps and through the halls to the entrance to the great hall where he and molly had agreed to meet. sure, being both in ravenclaw they could have just as easily joined up in the commons room and walked to the ball together, but it seemed more... 'magical' for lack of a better, less-cheesy word, to do the stereotypical meet where all of the other happy couples would likely meet. a short while later he was in position at the bottom of the steps before the great hall, along with many other people both male and female waiting for their dates. the ball was to start in about fifteen minutes, so he didn't think he'd be waiting too long. | [atrb=width,100] words , 817 words with coding tagged , who else but the ever lovely miss molly fros- i mean, weasley? notes , babeh tiem!
