It wasn't often that Zmeyette wrote her father a letter, usually if she did it was because Valerie was on her case and didn't always want to include Zmeyette's info into her letters. It wasn't that Zmeyette didn't want to speak to her father she just hated to sit down and pour everything out into a letter. But a couple days ago she had sent an owl to her father asking him to meet her in the forbidden forest. She missed her father dearly and wanted to know how he was along with her mother.
The time was late at night and Zmeyette slipped out of the castle and headed toward the forbidden forest, a place she liked to call home most of the time. She always felt comfortable in the depths of this forest. The trees were aliened so close together it protected the place from most light, she had always preferred the dark and this forest was pitch black at night. As she walked into the forest, letting herself walk aimlessly for her father and her would find each other by scent, she didn't care where she landed at.
Zmeyette listened carefully for any sound that she could hear. There were a lot of nocturnal creatures lurking about but surely they could smell the werewolf in her and wouldn't dare bother her. Zmeyette felt not threat at all standing her exposed in the dark forest. She leaned up against a tree and waited for her father to sniff her out. No use in exhausting herself walking all of the place, it would be pointless if both of them kept moving about.

It seemed like he knew everything there was to Valerie though her letters, which he didn’t mind getting but Zmeyette didn’t really write to him. Either she was too busy to write, or she just couldn’t be bothered so when he got a letter from her he couldn’t wait to see her. She wanted to meet him in the forbidden forest late at night.
That time had arrived painfully slow but nevertheless it had arrived. Walking confidently into the forest that he knew oh so well, he couldn’t help but feel a sense of peace here. This was where he belonged, out in the forests being what he was meant to be. A wolf was never meant to be caged up in a house 365 days a year, and so he took his time wandered the forest. The cool crisp air brought many different scents. Licking his lips he continued into the darkness, his eyes quickly adjusting to the lack of light. The wolf inside of his was itching to get out, to run through this forest again, but sadly the full moon had already passed. Such a shame though, he thought, he didn’t like denying his wolf anything.
Taking another deep breath, the scent of another werewolf filled his nose. One he knew all too well, Zmeyette. He followed it, sniffing the air every now and then until he reached her, the scent enveloping him. "Zmeyette darling," he spoke in the softer tones he used with his daughters and Adrian. |

Zmeyette waited patiently which was a bit of a hard task for her. The wolf inside of her didn't want to stand still, especially sensing that it was in the forest. It wanted to hunt and kill but it was not a full moon tonight, it would be a couple more weeks before the next one came along. But the wolf inside her was not the sole reason for her restlessness the thoughts racing in her head had a big part in it. Over the last few days her patients have been tested as well as rewarding.
Jacob had crushed her heart completely, whatever had been left of her feelings toward him were obliterated due to his utter disregard for her feelings. Even if Jacob would always be the guy she probably couldn't resist she had to, she would not be used as some toy even if the sex had been amazing. But now Zmeyette felt weak, useless, and vulnerable; a feeling she despised. Jacob wouldn't get the best of her. Zmeyette was the daughter of the most feared werewolf and damn it she would start acting like it again.
Zmeyette week hadn't all been bad, actually it had brightened up a great deal a few days ago when Zmeyette received a response from her idol, Rhea Thornwallow. The two ended up meeting at the Hog's Head and things went differently than she had expected them to. Zmeyette was officially working for Rhea as a spy in Hogwarts. She would be watching the activities taking place within the school and report to Rhea whenever she could. Perhaps she should have discussed such a decision with her father but Zmeyette wanted to be her own person and not live in the legend of her father no matter how much she loved him.
Suddenly his scent was strong in the air and she looked at the exact spot Fenrir showed up in. As soon as she saw him she broke her normal hard stance and ran straight into his arms. "Daddy." She said hugging him tight. She really didn't realize how much she missed him until he was standing right in front of her.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: dddddd; border: #cccccc solid 8px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;] You're gonna catch a cold From the ice inside your soul The Words: 396 The Tagged: zmeyette greyback The Notes n/a "Daddy." was all she said before running up to him, hugging him tightly. He done the same, wrapped his arms around his precious daughter and hugged her back. He had missed Zmeyette, she didn’t write to him often and in some ways he felt cut off from her. At least Valerie was constantly owling him, telling him what was going on and such, even going as far as mentioning Zmeyette and Adrian a few times. He didn’t want the hug to end, it had been far too long since they had had any contact with one another, but he reluctantly pulled away, gripping her by the arms gently and taking one good look over her. She seemed to be doing well, but then his Zmeyette always did look well, no matter if she was sick or upset. "You look good as always," he replied, releasing her arms, "You look more and more like your dear mother every time I see you." She had certainly gotten more of her mother's looks than his own but she had certainly inherited everything else from him, well that was his opinion. Of course there were often times she done things that reminded him of Ana.
Has she been keeping in contact with her mother recently? Did she know that he wasn’t going anywhere for a while, he would finally be a somewhat ‘decent’ father. "How have you been?" he asked her, "I don’t suppose you've heard from your mother lately saying I was back." He assumed that Valerie had told her. Dear Valerie, of course she would have told Zmeyette and Adrian, he didn’t believe that she would keep something like that from his other 2 prized children. "Speaking of your mother, I have a few things I want to discuss with you," he added after a moment, feeling an unfamiliar feeling brewing. Nervousness, he was feeling slightly nervous. He, the great big bad werewolf didn’t get nervous, it was impossible, he thought. He had fought in a war with confidence and yet wanting to discuss a few things concerning her mother made him nervous. Ha if anyone found out they'd laugh, his reputation would crumble. He heard what sounded like laughter in his head, was that his wolf laughing at him. Oh the nerve he had, he scolded the wolf into silence, his eyes never leaving his daughter's face. |

The scent of her father filled her nose as she pressed her face into his chest trying to hold on to this moment. It was a rarity that she received a hug from her father since he was gone so often rather than here with his family but Zmeyette understood his absence probably more than anyone else did in the family. Fenrir had to build the pack, to make them stronger so their voices could finally be heard instead of only used as muscle to scare their targets to get what they want. Only when they had what they wanted they would quickly forget the deal they had made with the werewolves, a costly mistake as history stated on multiple occasions. Zmeyette couldn't be prouder of her father's mission in life.
The embrace lasted a moment longer before Fenrir gripped her arms and pulled back to have a good look at her. It was a custom routine when the two finally crossed paths. "Thank you." She said with a smile. "As do you, although you do look a bit older than before." Zmeyette laughed, poking fun at her father's age. But she knew that Fenrir strength and speed had not dampened due to his age. "I've been alright." She answered not really meeting his eyes on that. Hopefully her father wouldn't question her much more on that and just attribute it to teenage problems. Although Zmeyette wanted to get revenge on Jacob Warrington for what he did to her something stopped her. Obviously her hatred wasn't stronger than the lingering feelings she still felt. "Any luck with adding some new blood to your pack?" Zmeyette asked curious about his travels. She hoped that his absence hadn't been in vain.
Zmeyette's stomach dropped a bit, usually when her father used those words about needing to speak with her she was usually in trouble. But then she studied her father further and noticed a new emotion she wasn't use to seeing in him but she couldn't place it since it looked so abnormal on his features. "Is everything alright?" Zmeyette asked worried, which was a new feeling for her, one she only expressed with her family.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: dddddd; border: #cccccc solid 8px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;] You're gonna catch a cold From the ice inside your soul The Words: 353 The Tagged: zmeyette greyback The Notes n/a Did she just tease him; take a stab at his age? He blinked; it had been far too long since he had someone poke fun at him and live to tell the tale. Of course he wouldn’t kill his darling daughter, not unless she turned her back on him like Seyton had. But he had faith that his daughter would never do so. He had raised her right, just like he had with Valerie and Adrian. His three precious children.
The way she had spoken that she was fine sounded a little off to him. He watched her movements, taking note that she avoiding looking at him when she had spoken. She was definitely not alright and it made him want to kill whoever had hurt his daughter. He gave her a disappointed look, as if to say he was disappointed that she couldn’t be up front with him. Maybe she wanted to deal with it all on her own. He respected her for that, but as a father, he couldn’t help the rage building up.
"Any luck with adding some new blood to your pack?" Well if she was talking about having more pups, then sadly no. The other wolves he had tried to seek out were all in hiding, they were staying away from witches and wizards and he couldn’t blame them. Who would want to spend every day being tormented and having prejudice against them. Fenrir certainly wouldn’t want that and therefore it made the others harder to find. Given time though, he was sure they would eventually seek him out, they would get word of what he was doing and want to join. "Sort of," he replied.
Was that worry in his daughter's voice? "Is everything alright?" Of course everything was alright, well for now it was. "Your mother has asked to be bitten, but I wanted to talk to you first, I know your mother's strong, but would she be able to handle the pain of the transformations every month?" he asked, figuring it was the easiest question to ask before getting to the other, more nervous question. |

A small gust of wind rustled the leaves in the trees above them causing some to shower down onto the ground. The smell of dampness filled her nose and it brought ease to her. Rain, she loved the smell of it mixed with the dirty in the ground. Zmeyette looked up at her father who seemed to have an expression of disappointment on his face. The fact that her father was upset with her, even in the slightest, made Zmeyette feel sick to her stomach. She always wanted her father's praise but Fenrir knew that she wasn't being completely honest with him. "I'm sorry dad, I need to handle whats going on in my life on my own. I'm a big girl and can't always run to you whenever I need help." Zmeyette said calmly. "Just know I'll be alright and if things get worse I will let you know everything because I know if I tell you now you wouldn't be able to hold back." Zmeyette said, it was the first time she ever told her father to back off and let her be her own woman. She knew it would hurt him but she also needed her father to believe in her as much as she believed he did.
It seemed that Fenrir didn't have as much luck as they both would have liked in gathering more support but Zmeyette knew this was a task that would take time, it was already years in the making and they were slowly growing. This would just take a load of patience which neither of them had that much to spare. "We will get there, I can come along next year seeing as I'll be out of school and I'm sure I can persuade some of them to join up this time around." Zmeyette said. She couldn't wait to get out of school and help her father with this mission of his. Also it would get her away from Romulus which she desperately needed.
It was no surprise to Zmeyette that her mother finally decided to be bitten but it was strange that her father would ask her permission to do so. "Of course she is, she has been through child birth, which I hear is rather rough." Zmeyette stated. She knew her mother would be able to handle it all. "Plus dad she has been able to deal with everything else thrown at her since she had been with you, she can go through with this and we can finally travel as a family." Zmeyette said hoping that Fenrir would change her mother.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: dddddd; border: #cccccc solid 8px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;] You're gonna catch a cold From the ice inside your soul The Words: 611 The Tagged: zmeyette greyback The Notes sorry about the wait He sighed. He understood, she had the Greyback genes in her after all, but it made him feel like he was useless, his little girl was growing up and he couldn’t do a thing to help her when she got herself into hurtful situations. He didn’t like the fact that he was being pushed aside, but at the same time he was also proud of her for dealing with things on her own. What did she mean he wouldn’t be able to hold back? If someone was hurting her, they had a right to be scared, to quiver in fear. Any parents, whether werewolf or not had the rights to scare and hurt anyone that hurt their own child. He bit his lip, he wanted to know exactly what was up with her, but he didn’t want to lose her trust in him, it was a lose/lose situation for him, he only hoped she'd keep to her word and come to him, or even owl him the second she thought she couldn’t handle the situation.
"We will get there, I can come along next year seeing as I'll be out of school and I'm sure I can persuade some of them to join up this time around." One moment he was hurt by her words, the next he was damn proud of her, her determination and loyalty to the cause was admirable, why couldn’t his other children be like her, well except Adrian of course. Adrian and Zmeyette, his two favourite children, they were the future of werewolves, they were the next leaders, they would make sure that his dream of werewolf domination would remain in the world when he died. "Yes. They're hiding, scared of the wizards living among them. They'll soon realise what we are doing and will seek us out, they will learn to fear people no more and learn to thrive on other's fear instead." Fenrir was a passionate man when it came to certain things, his family and his dream were but two of those things.
It was all he needed to hear, to reassure him that his dear Ana would be completely happy as a werewolf. He loved biting and changing people, but his speciality was children. He didn’t want to cause Ana any pain, but after hearing Zmeyette, she sounded thrilled that her mother would come into their world, that they could live as a true werewolf family. "She will need us more than ever after the bite," he spoke, although it wasn’t directed at Zmeyette. He glanced, but the trees blocked any sight of the sky above. "We wouldn’t have to walk on eggshells around her near the full moon, she'd be one of us," he glanced back down at Zmeyette and nodded once to her, indicating that he'd do it, all they had to do was set a date for Ana to receive the gift, and then Adrian would have to as well, they would definitely be needing him and Zmeyette then.
He stood for a moment in silence, pondering on how to ask Zmeyette the next, more nerve wracking question, how could he go about asking someone to marry their mother. "Has your mother ever spoken to you about marriage?" he asked, figuring it was a good place to start, to find out if Ana would marry him, although he had no doubt in his mind that she would. Even after all the things he had done: let her raise a werewolf child whilst still a human and coming and going out of her life more times that he could remember, yet she still loved him and he still loved her. |
