Peer pressure... Okay, I give in =)

So I'm Kiiraena, or Kiira/Kira as people like to call me here. I don't really feel like giving out my real name... but if we ever plot together on MSN, you'll find out xP So currently, I play Josceline Nott, Dante Au-Yong, Marlon Delaney, Makenna Martell and Raina Solokyov, but soon I will be adding Phoebe Thornwallow to the list =)

So I'm 21 years old and my birthday is on March 2nd. I'm studying Computer Science with a minor in Psychology at the University of Waterloo. Right now, I'm on a co-op term so I'm working a 9-6 job hence the reason why I only come on around then, which is kind of a pain but I love my job so it's ok. So until the end of this month, I am a software developer at a mobile development company. Then it's back to school for me with gruelling over code and studying random algorithms and stuff. Because of my program, I move around every 4 months, depending on where I get a job. I'm hoping for a job in California for my next co-op term because it's in winter. *crosses fingers*

I've been roleplaying for about 7-8 years if you count from when I started to now. But I've had a lot of gaps in those years for whatever reason. At the beginning, I had a huge phase where I just kept joining site after site. At one point, I created my own xD ...unfortunately, it died =( I have tried other genres like historical, fantasy, other book-based ones (like Valdemar and Tortall), but I just keep coming back to HP because it's awesome =) Actually, I really enjoy the Valdemar and Tortall based ones, but the problem is that they keep dying and there's not many of them around. Anywho, for the last few years, I've been rp'ing less and less. This is my big comeback, I guess. The last site I was one before this one was at least a year ago. So I apologize to everybody for how rusty and slow I am.

It's really weird how I ended up on this site. I remember at the beginning of May, thinking about whether or not to join because I wasn't sure I would be able to commit enough time to the site. At the time, I was eyeing Dominique Weasley because she's usually my go-to first character on a future-hp site, but I had wanted a bit of a change from my usual (and I wanted a Hufflepuff xD). I couldn't decide but then she was reserved one day, so I made a new character. Just to make it clear: I love Puffs. I feel that they never get enough love and appreciation. They're the quirky, unique, eccentric fellows, often just on the side. They can become anybody and everybody. So what I'm trying to say is that Puffs are awesome. I wish I could justify having more... >_>

One weird thing about me is that I'm a huge packrat. I have character profiles dating back to my first character. Ahh, I remember the days when one or two liners were the accepted norm. Such weird days. Actually, Dante, Marlon, Makenna and Raina are all old characters made from previous sites hence the reason why they may be more developed than Jos. Of these, I think Marlon or Raina is the oldest (Sari, correct me if I'm wrong). The reason why I'm bring them back is because I've never really had a chance to fully flesh out some of the plots, particularly plots with Sari. I've known Sari for a scary amount of time, or at least a scary amount of time in my rp-time.

Interesting fact about me, I love swing dancing. Nothing competitive or anything, but I'd love to be able to get into a competitive level when I'm more settled down and not moving around and all over the place so much. So I loove jazz and swing. Swing dancing appropriate songs are so quirky =)

I love to read, but as I've discovered this summer, I'm a painfully slow reader. Or it might have something to do with how I only read on the subway, and I only have a 15 minute ride. My favourite series include A Song of Fire and Ice (don't tell me what happens in a Dance of Dragons! I haven't gotten a chance to read it yet), the Mistborn Trilogy, the Black Magician Trilogy. I also adore books by Tamora Pierce because she got me started on reading fantasy books and Mercedes Lackey just because =) I'm currently making my way through the Malazan Book of the Fallen series but I'm having trouble getting a hold of Deadhouse Gates =( I have this thing for really long series/books.
I also have a very guilty pleasure hp fanfic ship that I feel more than a little embarrassed about revealing. Ask me privately and maybe I'll tell you xP

As for shows, I don't watch much stuff because I don't have a tv here (or at school) but my favourite shows include Doctor Who, Firefly, Friends, Gilmore Girls, Boy Meets World, Buffy and Castle. For the most part, I like to watch shows that are already finished because I hate hate HATE cliffhangers. I have a really short attention span and I lose interest in shows really quickly if I don't have a certain dose. I realize it's a problem. I am a huge fan of old Disney, not so much the new stuff except for Tangled because that was a surprisingy fantastic movie.

Feel free to plot with me. Especially if you have ideas with Raina because it's really hard to find plots for a Durmstrang alumni. I'd love you forever if you do! ...well, I'd love you anyway, but I'd love you more! Just send me a PM =)
