Some Important Rules to Remember:

• so for Quidditch games, there is no word count to be followed. This is only for Quidditch Games, not for any other thread.
  
• Also, we will be having mandatory posts for Quidditch Games. You must post at least 10 times with your character per Quidditch game. Or else you will be removed from the team!
  
• Please read the dice rolls carefully! They’re there for a reason!
  
• Don’t forget for offensive Beater hits, you have to post twice. One for going after the bludger, and two for hitting the bludger, there must be a post by another person between these two posts.

• There will be a dice roll either every 5 posts or every 12 hours (give an hour or so depending on when Steve or I are online) whichever happens first.

James flew onto the field with the bright gold colored robes fluttering behind him in pale light. Since the last match, he wasn't doing so grand, and felt like this was just a lost cause again. Even with all the team's pep talks, and slow motion replays, he didn't care. There was no way he was going to enlighten his team, but he put on a fake smile to keep them all happy so that way they wouldn't see his inner turmoil. Quidditch was supposed to be his thing, and not anyone elses despite the fact he had lost again. Now all that was left to do was wait for the golden snitch to arrive so he could at least try catching it.

[LILY MAKENNA MARTELL]

For Makenna, this game was quite important due to the fact that she felt the complete and utter need to pummel the Gryffindors into the dirt, where she felt that they belonged. If it wasn’t entirely obvious, the Hufflepuff harboured a deep and dark hatred for Gryffindors despite or perhaps in spite of the fact that a large majority of her family ended up in Gryffindor. To her, there was nothing more satisfying than showing up the big-headed, self-righteous bigots.

Her distracted and incensed thoughts about beating Gryffindor, unfortunately, cost her the first quaffle catch. Makenna scowled at her own performance; however, she was glad that her captain was not as distracted as she was and had picked up their slack. Determined to not be distracted again, Makenna raced ahead towards the Gryffindors goals. She tried to make sure that she was open to catch the quaffle should Lyra throw it to her.

Yet another match, just another opportunity to hit bludgers at anyone and everyone. Kicking off from the ground, Lucian wasted no time in trying to find a bludger, making sure none of the other beaters were following. If they were, well they would make decent targets for him, no one tried to steal his bludger and got away with it.

The werewolf glanced towards the chasers, glad to see that at least one of the hufflepuff chasers were awake. Lyra had the quaffle, snatched it from gryffindor. Turning back to his bludger he chased it, his mind going over the possible targets.

[LILY LUNA POTTER]

losing all of their matches in quidditch? yeah, that just wasn't going to happen. come on, you had two of harry potter's children on this team, one of the best seekers in the history of hogwarts, and the team sucked? humiliating defeats at the hands of both ravenclaw and slytherin... couldn't they at least beat hufflepuff?

don't get her wrong, lily loved hufflepuffs. some of her favourite cousins were in that house, but she wanted to win! a losing streak was not a good way to enter her seventh year of schooling where, if at all ideal, she would be helping her quidditch team reach a quidditch cup victory. the didn't seem likely with the way this season was going, so as the gryffindor girl hovered near the goal posts, keeping an eye on the play so that she should be prepared if hufflepuff got a breakaway, she was praying to her lucky stars that gryffindor won at least one game this season.

[LUCY SARAH WEASLEY]

as the seeker, lucy couldn't help but feel bad for hufflepuff losing their first game. after all, at this level of play the entire game pretty much depended on her. her teammates could play their little games, hit bludgers, score points, but when it came down to it the fate of the game rested on her shoulders. well, hers and those of the opposing seeker. after all, it was practically impossible for a team to get the amount of points to make the snitch points void in the time it took for one of the seekers to catch the snitch. theoretically a quidditch game could go on for days and then, yeah, it was possible, but at a hogwarts quidditch level lucy had never heard of such a thing happening.

she soared off into the skies after the whistle was blown and her eyes instantly scanned the field, looking for the tiny golden ball that, she hoped, by the end of the game would be secured in her grasp. the key to winning was to get a strong start... and she really hoped that her team was capable of that.

[LYRA KARA THORNTON]

it was her last year here, and coming up to one of the last matches she would ever play here at hogwarts, she had to make the most of it, really leave a lasting impression. she was a good chaser, she believed she was a good captain too - she'd like to think it anyway - and if she was going to leave here in a few months she wanted to leave knowing she'd done her best here, leave with hopefully something to go on for her future (she hoped) quidditch career. striding out onto the pitch she surveyed the weather once more, seeing how it could be worse, and she exhaled and mounted her broom. as soon as the whistle went she kicked off hard, her eyes straining for the quaffle, hands reaching and luckily she beat everyone else too it and grasped the ball within her hands. she shot upward into the air and then levelled out, her gaze already searching for someone....there! makenna... she caught her look and silently so as not to really draw all the opposing chaser's attentions she made to throw it to her.

[ROXY FAYE FINNIGAN]

roxy knew this wasn't exactly the best position to be in...oh she wasn't talking about the quidditch position, she enjoyed being chaser and a full member of the team..no she was talking about the steadily expanding bump that preceded her. the bump that held not only one, not two but three children (not that she knew lucas even knew that yet, for all they were aware roxy only bore one child). she knew she was risking not only her own neck in this game but hell the child's and that scared her. the thing was she was a good flyer - otherwise she wouldn't have made the team of course - and the game, whilst injuries were prone, was relatively low risk in the fact that people didn't generally die..and well...and okay she had a good feeling that was what she was going on. she'd waved off lucas' concerns and said she was fine, that if things got too bad out there she promised to pull out - and she would. but she still wanted to give it a shot first.

when the whistle blew she kicked off from the ground hard, leaning forward as much as she could with the bump rather in the way as it was now, reaching for that quaffle. it always seemed just out of reach and a chaser from hufflepuff had soon snagged it. frowning, she narrowed her eyes in concentration and turned her broom a different course, following makenna instead as lyra tore across the field with the ball safely in hand. as soon as that quaffle left the 'puff's hands, roxy shot forward, stretching her arms out in order to attempt to try and receive the pass instead of the rivalling hufflepuff team mate.

[LUCIAN ILLIUM JAXON]

Lucian flew towards the bludger, raising his bat ready to hit it at the target he had in mind. The play however made him pause. Should he hit the bludger at Roxy or not. No he'd let Dunstable deal with that, his target was much closer anyways.

Lining his aim, Lucian kept one eye on the bludger and one eye on his target, a wicked grin appearing on his face. Swinging the bat, he made a solid hit on the bludger, sending it towards Alaya. Yes he intended to knock the gryffindor beaters out then focus on the chasers

To Makenna, there seemed to be a moment of hushed silence as the quaffle left Lyra's hands and Finnigan attempted to intercept. But thankfully, the quaffle had just managed to slip through the Gryffindor's fingers and neatly into her waiting hand.

Since she had positioned herself well near the Gryffindor goal posts, the Hufflepuff was in a relatively good position to shoot. Hoping to fake out the keeper, Makenna feinted off to the right as if she intended to shoot the quaffle through the right hoop. At the last second, she swerved over the left and made to shoot for the left hoop. Putting all her strength and rage against Gryffindors behind it, Makenna whipped the quaffle towards the Gryffindor goal.

[ROSE NICOLE WEASLEY]

The start of the game had gone by so quickly it was all like a blur to Rose. Where was her head? Oh ya, partially in the clouds today. Time to get ehr head into the game. Rose quickly shook her head to clear it, catching up with what was happening. She saw that Makenna now had possession of the quaffle and was getting ready to score. Seems how Rose herself hadn't ended up moving around too much since the start she was still close to the Gryffindor nets. Rose moved into position to intercept the throw to the goals, hopefully giving Gryffindor two chances to block the throw.

already. already the game was going badly. what was wrong with gryffindor this year? they were doing extremely poorly in the tasks, and apparently they were sucking just as much at quidditch. it didn't make sense! they were good players, they worked well as a team, it just seemed that every other team they came across, no matter who they were, was better. perhaps lucas' takeover mid season was a bit at fault... switching captains in the middle of the year was bound to put anyone off of their game, but they had never even been on their game in the first place! this year had been nothing but mess up after mess up. alaya had been hit by a bludger, for pete's sake! she was a bloody beater! lucas wanted to scream at her, order her to be alert, but though he was frustrated that was no reason to get cold. sure, he was upset that it had seemed lately that he was the only beater on this team, but if she got herself knocked out... well, that was her issue.

it was hard to keep his own head in the game, too, with roxy there. he'd tried to convince her to not play, he'd been one hundred percent against it given her condition, but they didn't have a back up chaser... and if they didn't have someone to replace her, they didn't have a full team, and would be forced to forfeit the game. that was the only reason that roxy was on the pitch. he was constantly keeping an eye on his fiance, and if there was any sign of trouble she'd be off. screw the match, her health was more important. but for the moment things were good, so the captain of the gryffindor team headed off towards the nearest bludger, trying to pick out a target to chuck it at.

[ALAYA SILANE TIAUN]

Another game, another day and at that moment Alaya was not feeling pumped for anything. After loosing every match so far including the tournament that year things were not looking up. Sure she was glad she was apart of so many events and groups but failing at everything she half wished that she was part of the background again. However, she would never go back to that. The game was going on around her and she was just not feeling it. She was not apart of the game anymore. Her mind was else where. Then a bludger hit her and she woke up from her daze and her focus went to the game. As much as she hated the werewolf she had to thank him for waking her up. She searched for a bludger and went after it. She hated that this was so hard for her at that moment. She took a deep breath and kept her mind on her flying. It was soothing and very settling. Her mind was not on the game but on her task of getting close enough to that bludger to help her team. That or maybe take out that little werewolf who hit her. One of the two would work.
