Gabby practically danced along beside him. She credited her light feet to her years of dancing, she had always enjoyed the past time and had experimented with most types of dance. These included but were not limited to ballet, tap, ballroom, swing, salsa and some others that she had tried out for short periods at one time or another. She had the body to be a dancer so it didn't seem to far-fetched that she had dabbled in the arts. She didn't really know how likely it was that they would actually find a unicorn but it would be an interesting enough challenge for Adrian to accomplish. Knowing the boy he probably wouldn't want to admit defeat even if he couldn't find one.
Though trudging through the woods wasn't exactly something that she would consider easy. The under brush was pretty thick and she wasn't really equip to try and amble through it but she was doing her best. It was a little easier due to the fact that Adrian had a hold of her arm still and was practically pulling her through the denser of the under brush. So maybe trying to track down a unicorn in a short skirt, heels and knee high socks wasn't the best idea. At this point she was thinking doing it barefoot might be easier but she pushed on none the less.
"Wow, it is really dark out here. I might get scared" she whispered into his ear with a smile in her tone. She was of course kidding, there wasn't much that really scared her, like truly scared her, and the dark sure wasn't one of those things. It was getting rather dark though and she didn't have the same good eye sight that she figured Adrian probably had. "If I trip and fall you better catch me" she added in a fake serious tone. Of course she knew with Adrian it would go either way. He wasn't a gentleman so he wouldn't catch her because of that but she figured he might catch her in the hopes he might get a free show or cop a feel or even get some nice repayment. Who knew, she hoped she wouldn't trip and fall to find out but didn't know if she could keep up with the heels and the bushes and the dark for too much longer. But Gabby wasn't one for complaining either, she would just soldier on.

Senseless Denial, We spun like birds on fire right down towards the residence and i I took all that I desired even crooks have to pay the rent We swam like rats on fire right, right down the reservoir We took all that we could carry but we tried to carry more He was rather fond of the lithe way that Gabrielle was on her feet. It made it much easier to sneak around so Adrian never had any complaints on that front. At least it was tons better than some heavy-footed oaf stomping about, snapping every twig there was. It certainly did increase their chances of finding that unicorn of hers. There was this small nagging feeling in the back of his mind telling him that on some level he wanted to be able to do this for Gabby. It was probably just to feel accomplished and thus superior, but it might have had something to do with the fact that he actually liked Gabrielle and wanted to impress her, at least marginally.
Adrian didn’t have much thought toward how much more difficult it would have been for someone without his advanced senses to traipse through the forbidden forest. When he could easily see to dodge those harsh branches who seemed to have claw-like fingers reaching out to snag an article of clothing or the thorns on the bushes they passed threatening to scratch any expose piece of flesh, Gabby couldn’t, which had something to do with why he had subconsciously kept her so close to him, aside from the fact that he liked her close to him.
Catch her… yeah the only reason Adrian would have done that was if he was looking to grab an inappropriate place of her body. He was his father’s son after all. Either that or if he was trying to pull someone into a false sense of security around him, but that wasn’t necessary in Gabrielle’s case. She already seemed to trust him otherwise why would she be out in dangerous parts of the forest with him. Laughing Adrian shot her a cheeky smile, “Sure, I’ll catch you.” It didn’t sound sincere and it wasn’t so that was very accurate. Adrian didn’t believe her for a second that she was afraid of the dark. “Lets go this way.” He suggested knowing that there was a small pond not too far away, Adrian could smell the water, hear the faint ripples that sporadically moved through the surface from a leaf dropping or a minnow nipping at the air. Animals were always attracted to water it was just natural. words:383 |

Gabby gave him a fake exaggerated smile when he claimed that he would catch her. Of course she could hear the non sincerity dripping from his voice but she hadn't expected anything more. He was only returning the jest that she had just thrown his way. Like she would ever be the damsel in distress, yeah right. She wasn't the type of girl to need rescuing and that wasn't about to change now. For most of her life she had been an independent type of girl and that still held true today. She would use Adrian for support while tramping through the woods but didn't expect him to actually come to her aid should she really need it. Some people would say they had a bad relationship but in reality they had exactly the type of relationship they wanted, nothing more and nothing less.
"Sounds good to me" she replied when he stated that they should alter their course of direction. She was pretty much going into this blind and wasn't going to object with where ever it was that he wanted to take her. Even if he stopped looking for the unicorn completely and just took her on a wild goose chase she probably wouldn't mind. If anything this was better than spending time in her stupid dorm room listening to the whining and pining of the other girls. It literally drove her insane to be in there with them for extended periods of time. She would much rather spend her time with boys especially Adrian. Boys didn't cause as much drama and irritation as girls did.
"So you gonna go to the ball?" she asked out of nowhere. She didn't think he would but she never knew with him, sometimes he would surprise her. She wondered who he might go with if he did decide to grace them with his presence. She was going because it was an excuse to dress up and an excuse to just have some fun. She enjoyed watching the faces of the other girls when she stole their dates for a dance or two. Maybe this time she would be a good and nice girl....highly unlikely. Really she was just getting bored of walking and being so quiet, course it was necessary to find what they were looking for but she would rather spend her time actually speaking if that was at all possible.

Senseless Denial, We spun like birds on fire right down towards the residence and i I took all that I desired even crooks have to pay the rent We swam like rats on fire right, right down the reservoir We took all that we could carry but we tried to carry more As lithe as Gabby’s tread was Adrian’s was even lighter. It sometimes did have its benefits, but was it really worth it when he had to put up with other people’s guff. What did they want from him? To be six foot tall at fourteen. Adrian doubted that they had any room to talk. Just because he hadn’t hit that growth spurt yet didn’t mean anything. Lots of fourth years were his height or shorter. Moving through the forest though Adrian seemed to be light as a feather on each twig and leaf that was in his path. It was growing colder the deeper that they ventured into the dense part of the forest, the damp cool being trapped beneath the canopy. He was glad that Gabrielle didn’t protest against his diversion from the path, not that her disagreeing would have made any difference but it was nice that he didn’t have to hear her whine about it.
Adrian gritted his teeth as Gabby’s voice broke the silence sending some critter, his senses telling him that it was nothing more than a badger, scrambling back to its hole at the base of a tree. It immediately sent his mind to Hufflepuffs and Adrian shuddered in disgust. Sure there were a few decent ones, or well two that he could name out right, but the Hogwarts House in general was a horridly wretched thing. Push overs made up the bulk and despite being prime to pick on Adrian didn’t think them good for much else. Slytherin was, quite easily, the only way to go. When he looked at that snake emblem on his robes Adrian thought it something to be proud of and if anything Adrian was a very proud little half-werewolf.
He hadn’t thought much about the Yule Ball, dances and the like were never a concern of his but with everything that was going on in the school at this time Adrian could deny his mild interest to see what schemes would be cooked up for the night. If there were students among Hogwarts that were looking to make an impact the Yule Ball was an excellent place for your message to reach the maximum number of people. That in itself was good enough for Adrian to at least make an appearance. Still if Gabby was asking it had to be for a reason, even if that reason was nothing more than a conversation starter. “I was thinking about checking it out. Why, you want to be my date?” He was cool with that. At least it would give him a legitimate reason to be there. words:383 |

When he instantly insinuated that because she was asking him about the dance that she was wanting to be his date she scoffed at him. "Why would I want to do that? I am sure I could go with tons of other guys" she replied, her tone was joking though. She was just being her usual self, a bitch. Going with him actually wasn't a bad idea and she didn't have a date yet so why not. They were friends and that would save her from the horridness of having to actually try and behave herself around someone new. Besides there weren't many guys left that she really would want to go with. She did have standards and wasn't about to back down on those for anyone. Adrian just so happened to meet those standards pretty well. He was shorter than her so that was a minus but whatever, she was still wearing heels.
"Just messing around, we could go together. Saves us the trouble of finding some other lame loser to go with" she replied with a shrug. If anything going together would make the night more fun since they always had good times together. Plus even if they did go together it didn't really matter cause either one of them would be open to dance with anyone else or do whatever else they so pleased and not have to worry about hurting any petty feelings. It wasn't false that Gabby could go with most anyone she decided on with just a little seduction and charm but in all reality she didn't mind going with Adrian in the least. If anyone ever asked her if she had feelings for Adrian she would probably say sure. In some twisted and odd way she did care for the boy as more than a brother but at her current stage of being she wasn't capable of caring for someone truly. Maybe later in life.
"Sadly my dress isn't quite my style if you know what I mean. Mum went with me to pick it out so I had to appease her as well. But hey, I look good in anything and who's to say the dress is even gonna stay on the whole night" she replied with a wink. She wondered if anyone would be throwing any after ball parties, she would have to look into it because if someone worthwhile was throwing one then she was so there.

Senseless Denial, We spun like birds on fire right down towards the residence and i I took all that I desired even crooks have to pay the rent We swam like rats on fire right, right down the reservoir We took all that we could carry but we tried to carry more Adrian didn’t get huffy or bow up his chest in some mock defense mechanism when Gabby scoffed at him. The fact that she could have gone with tons of other guys hadn’t escaped him. His point, which Adrian had been too egocentric to make obvious, was that why would she have wanted to go with any one else. All Gabrielle would have done was tease them the whole night and she could still do that with him around, though it would be more fun because he would encourage her and things usually were better when they were together. Adrian gave her a short sidelong glance for a moment before returning his attention back to leading the way through the dense forest.
It was good to know that she had just been messing with him. Gabby had gotten his unspoken point it seemed. There weren’t many girls that Adrian would have wanted to go with, or that many that he liked enough to tolerate for more than an hour at a time- why should he have gone with someone that would have bored him or made him wan to rip their tongue out so they would stop jabbering away their girlish nonsense in his ear. Besides if things were going to go down like he hoped, drama filled and hopefully some good ole fashioned violence, then Adrian didn’t want to miss out because he walked away from his date. “Good.” It was all he could really say on the matter as they came to the pond that he had been leading them to.
It was quiet and calm, nothing around but a bird, which, upon seeing them, took flight. “Why don’t you just make some altercations to it. That is what magic is for you know; getting what you want- or need. Though I’m not opposed to you taking it off either.” Adrian smirked still keeping his voice soft so as not to scare away anything. His ears pricked toward a sound to their right and Adrian squeezed Gabby’s hand lightly to get her attention, his head nodding toward the slight white tail that was swishing back and forth idly. It had to be a unicorn but the next step that he took to see more than the ass end of the beast, sent the unicorn running and out of sight in a matter of seconds. words:395 |

It was just like Adrian to totally ignore the teasing that she was inflicting upon him. Some people thought that if you just ignored people picking on you that they would stop because they wouldn't have fun doing it anymore but Gabby wasn't like that. She enjoyed picking on people regardless of their responses to it, though when they reacted it was more fun. Gabby and Adrian had just been friends for long enough that they were never bothered by what the other had to say, teasing or not. Generally they just figured the other person was teasing, which could create problems in a serious situation but whatever, Gabby wasn't worried about it.
"I could, I will have to give it some thought" she replied with a smile. Of course he wasn't opposed to her taking it off, it was Adrian. Even at fourteen he seemed like he was much older. Whenever he hit his growth spurt he would be one bad ass guy, he was now of course but he would be even more so later. "Man I am not gonna be able to wear heels" she replied jokingly, poking fun at his height of course. Even without heels she was still taller than him, but she was just really tall for her age. In all reality Adrian was normal sized for his height.
She was wearing heels regardless because she didn't care a whole lot. "Don't worry you are gonna be one sexy ass guy when you hit that growth spurt of yours. I will have to beat the girls off you with a stick" she replied with a slight wink. This of course was still jesting and all in good fun. In all honesty she found him attractive now and figured when he was older he would be pretty close to irresistible, probably had something to do with the werewolf gene. She wondered if that was what it was, she knew vampires tended to draw you in by their looks because they were a vampire, was it the same with werewolves?

Senseless Denial, We spun like birds on fire right down towards the residence and i I took all that I desired even crooks have to pay the rent We swam like rats on fire right, right down the reservoir We took all that we could carry but we tried to carry more Fashion wasn’t something that concerned Adrian so going into too much detail about her attire just wasn’t going to happen on his part. If Gabby decided to pursue the subject the most he would do was nod at random intervals, if not flat out ignore her completely. Just because they were friends didn’t mean that he was going to alter his personality to make sure that he didn’t hurt her feelings. That was why, he supposed, they could be friends in the first place. The majority of their relationship revolved around teasing one another so each were used to having things that they didn’t necessarily like said to them. Adrian didn’t see why he should analyze a good thing, all that did was complicate things and as much shit as he talked, when it came down to it, it was really just a simple kind of kid.
Adrian chuckled lightly when she mentioned that she wouldn’t be able to wear heels. It was a load of crap considering regardless of his height, he knew that she would wear them anyway- she usually did any other time. Adrian was a bit sensitive about his size, but in a few months he figured he would shoot up and finally have everyone looking up to him, literally. At least that was what he hoped. When that happened… Adrian would definitely be getting himself some well-awaited pay back. ”You can still wear them.” He threw out there giving her the permission though it wasn’t asked for nor required for her to do it anyway. Adrian just wanted to let Gabrielle know that it didn’t bother him. If anything he would be looking even more impressive that he had snagged her as his date. He had no conflict with using Gabby as arm candy for the night.
He nodded his agreement putting the lost unicorn sighting out of his mind. Adrian had seen pictures before and if he really had the need to see one later he could always try again, perhaps by himself where it would be more conducive to stealth, not that Gabby wasn’t quiet, for a human. ”Just the ugly ones.” He instructed letting out a bark of a laugh that ripped through the silence of the forest. Adrian was a jerk, there was no denying that and he had never even tried to claim otherwise either. “I agree, though technically I already am sexy.” That, Adrian felt, was stating the obvious, but it still needed to be said apparently. words:418 |

Gabby let out a small laugh as he gave her permission to wear the heels. Of course both of them knew that the permission was not needed. Gabby was the type of girl to do as she pleased no matter what other people thought about it. If she wanted to wear heels she would, as she usually did, if she wanted to dress slutty she would, which she also usually did and if she wanted to gain a reputation as a tease then she would do that as well. The view that others held of her didn't really cause her much disarray, she didn't tend to care whether people liked her or not. If they didn't like her then they could just scamper along to wherever it was they belonged cause they weren't worth her time. "Well now that I have permission" she replied with a wink and a laugh.
Gabby sauntered closer to where Adrian stood, she had been a few feet from him before and now she was close enough to almost feel his warm breath on her skin. "I might leave some scratch marks on even the pretty ones if they take my place" she added in a slightly lower tone, still joking but at the same time half serious. Gabby was a possessive and jealous type of person, if she felt something belonged to her then she would fight for that something. She knew that Adrian and her weren't like that and that neither one of them would probably ever have a real monogamous relationship but she still felt possessive of him in some ways or another. She was perfectly content to go the dance with him, looking as sexy as she could manage and just look good standing by his arm.
When Adrian rebuked her and said that technically he already was sexy she smiled and laughed lightly. "My mistake" she replied kneeling down a little so her lips were right next to his ear "You are correct, you already are" she added her breath soft against his ear. This was part of her game, it was very rare that her teasing, especially of Adrian let up. Generally that only happened when she actually had to force herself to be serious for a few moments. "Maybe too much so for your own good, ehh?" she said in a taunting tone with a smile on her lips.

Senseless Denial, We spun like birds on fire right down towards the residence and i I took all that I desired even crooks have to pay the rent We swam like rats on fire right, right down the reservoir We took all that we could carry but we tried to carry more Gabby often entertained his delusions. Adrian, still being so young, wasn’t taken seriously enough to have the fear inducing authority that his dad did. It was something that he was working on though. Slowly but surely Adrian was going to perfect being that daddy’s carbon copy image that he had been striving for for so long. He was sure that when he did achieve it Fenrir would be happy about it to. Unlikely some, at least Fenrir could take comfort in the fact that Adrian was so dedicated to being everything that he had raised him to be. Looking over at Gabrielle with a raised brow he wondered if it would be okay for him to keep the friendship that they had later, after he had achieved the authority that he was aiming for or if letting Gabby joke around with him in that condescending way, especially in public, would make him seem weak. There was a lot about his future, however planned out it was, that was still so unclear to Adrian.
Letting those thoughts mull around in his mind for a little bit Adrian was pulled out of them by the possessive comment that Gabrielle had made. She was definitely a tease, no one could dispute that without looking like a dumbass, but for anyone that didn’t know the two of them or how they were with one another they probably would have come to the mistake conclusion that they really did want to be together in one of those silly loyal relationships that so many of their peers seemed to be pairing up with. ”That knowledge just makes me want to rile you up with my attention going to other girls to see a good ole fashioned chick fight.” Adrian proudly informed her. He didn’t mind the idea of girls fighting over him.
As she got closer a smirk formed on Adrian’s lips. Despite the potential uncomfortable feeling that sometimes twitched in his pants when Gabrielle laid the teasing on too thick without following through with anything to take care of the mounting arousal, he was fond of the little games she played with him, and any other guy that might catch her interest. It was amusing really. Feeling her hot breath against his skin as Gabby whispered in his ear he growled at her playfully, the sound deep and warning, just in case she did have any plans of pushing things too far with him that night. Adrian wanted to remind Gabrielle that he didn’t always have the control over himself as he should, especially with those more primal instincts like lust and violence. ”No such thing as too much, even if it is for my own good.” words:452 |

Gabby smiled slyly when he told her that he wouldn't mind her fighting over him with another girl. Gabby had to admit she probably would fight over him if it came down to it. Adrian was her best friend but she was protective over him as more than just a friend. Was there a future between them? Doubtful, but she still had feelings that were more than friendship for him. But she wasn't one of those silly little girls that fell in love with a boy and focused on only him. Adrian had her focus because of his personality, he was a bad boy, he didn't care what others thought, he was on the fast track to being the next big Greyback, all of those things made him irresistible to her. If some other guy came along that was like Adrian, with those qualities, her interests may shift to him, it was hard to tell.
"I don't fight fair" she whispered and smirked as she placed a soft bit on his ear. Adrian was so used to her playing around by now that it didn't seem off or out of place to either one of them, or so it seemed. She knew that sometimes she pushed things too far and made Adrian irritated with her, but he never stayed mad at her for very long. It took a special person to get along with Adrian and Gabby, it just so happened that they got along with each other perfectly. Gabby had to wonder what his other siblings were like, were any of them really like him? Adrian was so far one of a kind. Gabby flirted with other guys but usually just left them high and dry and never talked to them again once she got bored. Adrian was the only one she kept going back to no matter what.
Gabby heard his warning growl, that meant she was pushing him to that point. She knew exactly what the growl meant, sometimes it stopped her and sometimes it didn't. "You sure there isn't a such thing as too much. What about if I just keep on pushing?" she asked in a teasing voice as she walked around him, never letting her body leave the touch of his. She liked this game, the game of see how far she could push him before he snapped. He would either snap and get angry with her, or snap and let his lust take over. It could really go either way when it came to Adrian. Gabby knew very well that he could hurt her if it came down to it, but really she didn't care. A little pain was nothing.

Adrian held very little respect for those that fought fair. It was more important to win and considering his morals reflected that of Fenrir, it wasn't too surprising that he had no qualms with fighting dirty. Adrian was young and still pretty impressionable, but that didn't mean that what he had grown up believing and having been taught would ever be swayed significantly. His wolfish grin tugged at his lips at Gabby's words. "You just have to be careful of those that feel the same way." Adrian cautioned. A quick scenario of what could possibly unfold from that flashed through his mind and he had to admit to himself that he wouldn't be disappointed to see it played out.
He knew that Gabby liked to push things with him, to see how much he could take. Adrian was still learning how to control his wolf half and unlike some didn't take any silly potion to assist. It was great practice for when his dad decided to turn him fully. Maybe by next year, like he had planned for Jasper. Fifteen must have been a better age to transform a person than fourteen. Adrian didn't see how one year's difference was that important, but maybe it was. On some levels Adrian liked that Gabby tested him, his only worry was what would happen when she pushed him too far one of these days. His dad told him to be careful with what he did.
Feeling her press up against him, if only for a moment, he felt a heat rising in him. What would happen indeed. Adrian let his eyes close feeling the tingling sensation of her presence circling around him. It wasn't really a wolf thing, it was like that feeling that someone was looking at you, hair on the back of your neck standing on edge, only intensified because of his superior abilities. Once she came full circle his eyes opened locking his gaze with Gabby's. "You might find that my bite really is worse than my bark."

"Maybe a I want a little bit of your bite" she teased in a playful tone. "But maybe I should be more careful" she sighed, taking a small step back. Before she removed herself all the way from him she placed a chaste kiss on his cheek. "I wouldn't want to get hurt" she added, her voice taking a bit more of a serious tone now. Gabby knew when it was time to stop when it came to Adrian. The longer they had been friends the more she had been able to push him. At first he had been easy to set off but now it took a bit longer. Even still, Gabby knew that he wasn't joking around about his bite being worse than his bite. Adrian was young and half werewolf, that was a recipe for disaster.
"You know you only need ask though" she added, meaning that whenever he decided he was ready to take that next step past teasing she would be obliged to do so with him. It was funny that even after all this time as friends, they had never done much more than mess around. Nothing had ever gone as far as it could have because usually someone stopped it before it did. Gabby had gone there with a couple different guys in the past but she wasn't sure that Adrian ever had with anyone. He was only fourteen though, still young. Gabby knew she would be jealous if he gave himself up to someone else that wasn't her, she prided herself in being his close friend.
"You ready to maybe head back? Or at least start heading back?" she asked. It was getting extremely late and if she was honest with herself it was starting to get a little creepy out here. She heard something shuffle to their left and jumped back towards Adrian a little. "Don't you dare laugh at me" she replied with a small smile, embarrassed about her own jumpiness. "I would never come out here without you, this place creeps me out sometimes" she laughed lightly.

Adrian didn't believe her. If Gabby ever got to experience just how ruthless and vicious his bite could be he doubted that she would be so playful with the notion. Werewolves were dangerous beasts and even the most skilled of people needed to be wary of them. His gaze set on her intensely letting an eerie smile come across his features as he took a bounding step toward her grabbing hold of her shoulders for a moment just in case she thought him serious, which was an easy thing for him to pass off as, and tried to flee. Adrian didn't think that he would ever intentionally hurt her, but that didn't mean he wouldn't accidentally. "I wouldn't want to scar that pretty body of yours anymore." From all the bits of flesh that Gabby had showed to him over the years he knew she already had a scar, just had never asked what it was from. Why should he when it was no business of his?
Releasing her Adrian took a step away listening to the growing sounds of the forest rising. Louder around them. He wasn't creeped out. With his advanced senses he could identify each sound for what it really was and though not all were innocent woodland creatures, the menacing ones were in a greater distance to worry about at the moment. He only needed to ask, what a revelation. One that perhaps he would call upon at a later time, but not tonight. Adrian wasn't sure if he could even do that with Gabby. She was his best friend and for someone like him, those didn't come a dime a dozen. Random females that he could have his way with however did. "Yes, I know." The false claim of knowledge seemed genuine though.
At her request he didn't laugh at her, but Adrian did plaster an amused smirk on his face. He found it amusing how Gabby could be so comfortable with one danger and jump for fright with the next. Though he would get her back to the castle and to the common room there was little chance that Adrian would be going to bed himself. He hardly ever slept, as was the case with most like him, unless they took that blasted wolfsbane potion, which Adrian did not. "You shouldn't come out here without me." That much was obvious. Even if he was smaller than some others he had a very powerful and deadly aspect to him that bigger people didn't and that was a willingness to kill. At school he was prohibited from killing students but that didn't mean he didn't occasionally unlease his aggression and string up an annoyance torturing them a bit. Adrian just had to be smart about it and make sure enough damage was done that they didn't remember who had harmed them. Since his first year Adrian had been doing just that. Taking Gabby by the hand he began to lead her back out of the forest. "Imagine if something happened to you. I'd be out a good time." Grinning he couldn't help but make his smartass comment.

Gabby let out a little laugh in response to him telling her that he wouldn't want to add any more scars to her body. Generally only the guys that got her in bed ever saw her scars, Adrian had only seen them because they were best friends after all. Gabby wasn't one to be shy, she had gotten dressed in front of Adrian a few times and he had seen her in a bathing suit or whatever else she chose to wear. Adrian was one of the few people who had never asked her where they had come from. It wasn't really a big secret it just wasn't something she enjoyed talking about. She thought of it as her near death experience in a way because it had been really bad. The part of the accident she hated remembering the most was seeing her friend dead in seat in front of her before she had lost consciousness.
Gabby held his hand in return as he started to lead her back. Honestly she had no idea where they even were anymore, they had wandered through the forest to a point that Gabby knew she wouldn't have been able to find her way back out again. Good thing she had Adrian here who probably knew the forest like the back of his hand. "I may like to get into trouble, but I don't have a death wish" she laughed and then added "Gotta have my body guard with me when I need him right?" She said this last part with a teasing smile, but not her usual one this one was actually a joking type of teasing. She did think of Adrian as a sort of body guard at times though. She knew that if she ever needed someone taken care of all she had to do was go to him and he would probably help her out.
The relationship she shared with Adrian wasn't like any of relationship she had. As a matter of fact usually it was this kind of relationship that bored her half to death. But with Adrian she genuinely enjoyed being around him. The thing was with Adrian it was only fun to be around him if you were already in a good mood. If she was feeling down about anything she usually avoided Adrian because he wasn't exactly the type of person to try and make you feel better. Gabby usually put on a good face in front of everyone even if something was wrong though because she didn't feel like answering any questions or having nosy people in her life.

She was so flippant with his aggression and while Adrian was glad that Gabby didn't shy away from him but he wasn't sure how smart of her that was. As only part werewolf Adrian sometimes struggled. It wasn't one of those conditions that you could sweep under the rug, even if you took the wolfsbane potion. The fuller the moon got the more prone he was to acting on his animalistic urges, urges which he had been told his birth were his right and to never suppress them for sake of self-doubt but only to make sure you didn't get caught. Azkaban was no place for a Greyback, especially not one so young. Looking over at Gabby he forced a smile, regardless of any caution that he heeded her she would always be the same ole Gabby so there was no use wasting his breath.
Adrian hadn't been raised to be interesting or riveting. His purpose was to be ruthless and savage and he was that in spades. Cunning and debauchery was valued over interesting and riveting any day in his family and considering he wanted to be that perfect son for Fenrir, Adrian had never made much effort to being such. He didn't care if he didn't act as a form of entertainment for Gabby, he wasn't some play thing for her enjoyment, but a friend- that made him different than the other guys that she spent her time with. He didn't ask stupid question like whether she was okay or not. Adrian had learned over their friendship when her moods changed.
There was a distance shift in her scent when Gabby was feeling down and in his opinion if she was feeling bad and wanted to talk about it, she would- he wasn't going to coax it out of her or anything of the sort. He wasn't much for conversation period. What was the point in talking just to hear your own voice. Adrian spoke when he actually had something to say. It was a principle that he wished more people would apply. A lot of people did more talking than they should and while he might use that to his advantage he wasn't going to let it be used against him. Deep down that was also a factor in the way he had structured his and Gabby's relationship, he didn't want anyone to use her against him.
Leading her through the forest, which was easily navigated by him,he couldn't help but let the question that loomed in his mind slip. "What happens when the body guard becomes what you need protection from?" Gabby must have known by now that Adrian would soon become full werewolf, that everything would be changing with him, including the way he treated others. He would be more sensitive in some aspects and less compassionate-which some would argue was a joke to begin with- in others. At least when he opened his mouth something of value tended to come out.
