Just checking in with you to see how you are doing. Have you and Theia worked on getting ready for the first task yet? Just make sure it doesn’t take up too much of your time to where you avoid your homework and other friend.
But other than getting ready for your first task, how’s the rest of school going for you? Are you and Aubrey doing alright? Has anything new happened lately? I wish I could send you owls more but it seems that the workload at work just keeps right on getting worse. It doesn’t help with the recent happenings at Hogwarts and the fact that this summer is the Quidditch World Cup.
By the way I got us some tickets for the Quidditch World cup and you should be able to bring Al, Theia and Aubrey as well. I think you told me that Aubrey’s favorite team was the Holyhead Harpies right? Because they are one of the two teams everyone believes will get into the Quidditch World Cup this year. We won’t know until closer to June of course, there are still a few games left.
Make sure to stay safe and keep out of trouble. I know it may seem a bit odd what with Hugo Weasley and Theia getting attacked. Try not to get involved as much as I know that the three of you want to figure out who is behind Hugo’s attack. We already know that Jacob was the one that hurt Theia, but apparently he had gone to Professor Longbottom and claimed it was just a prank of some sort. He’s been serving some detention, so I’m not sure if Theia’s attack and Hugo’s attack are even related at all.

Well now this certainly is a surprise, I was just about to write to you myself. Theia and I are bickering with each other as usual. There's really not much we can do to get ready, after all we have no idea what it is yet. I'm just hoping that if it is a flying challenge; that Theia won't panic. She's said time and time again how she much prefers to have her feet firmly on the ground rather that up in their air. We're making sure we have plenty of time for other things.
Things are going well. I don’t know if you heard but we won our first match against Gryffindor. Al's been an awesome captain; with all the training he's been putting us through, there was no way we would have lost. As for Aubrey and I, well we not long ago had a fight. She's been trying to learn to fly and never asked if I wanted to teach her, but things have settled down and I’m now helping her to fly.
I understand father, I don’t like it but I understand. Work must come first. I just wish you could delegate work to other people and get some time to yourself. Of course you would have, who in their right minds wouldn’t give the minister tickets to the cup. I guess there is some good perks that come with the job. I'll definitely bring them. Uh yea as far as I know they're her favourite, unless she's decided to change her mind and not tell anyone that she'd going for another team. I don’t think my team will be able to play in the finals, they're not playing their best lately and with a few of their star players injured, well I guess they have next year to look forward to.
Yes it is a bit odd with the attacked. James confronted Al, Theia and I and accused us of attacking Hugo. He even went as far as trying to attack us as well, first he tried to hit Al with a spell when his back was turned and then tried to hit me with his fists. But we set him straight and man it felt good to dock house points from him. And as for the attack on Theia, we don't think it was a prank. You know us father; trouble always comes looking for us. We've been trying to figure out why Jacob would attack and such. Which reminds me, what do you know about basilisks? I'm simply curious and there's a high chance it has nothing to do with anything, just that Hugo's toad was taken in the attack and it's the only thing I can think of that required a toad although there has been no reports of an egg going missing, can you tell me what else a toad would be used for? We'll find out if the attacks were linked or not eventually. We're keeping a close eye on the one that attacked Theia and we're more alert than ever. I don't think anyone else knows that we know this much so far. We're hoping the attacks will stop, but there's also a nagging feeling that things are only starting here. We'll definitely be careful though.

I supposed that the two of you can’t help but bicker. It’s what I’ve always seen from both you and Theia whenever you Theia and Al are over. I’m sure you’ll do just fine together. But I thought Theia was on the Quidditch Team? Or was that something you and Al tried to convince her to do to get her out of her normal boundries?
And Yes I did hear you guys won the Quidditch match! That’s great news, I hope it keeps going that way for Slytherin, I know how much the you and Al want Slytherin to win, especially since that was all you talked about during the summer it seemed. Even before Al’s Captain Badge came in, you two seemed to know that one of the two of you would get the spot. I’m just glad that you didn’t get jealous or anything like that. Not that I think you would, but sometimes jealousy sneaks up on us without even realizing it.
Well Miss Victoire Weasley and I are supposed to go over everything together and get a plan figured out that way the both of us can have more free time. She doesn’t get much free time as well, which I feel quite bad for doing that to her. But she knew that with the job of Senior Undersecretary that she wouldn’t get as much free time as she used to have. Hopefully this summer will prove to be different and I’ll be able to spend the summer more with you and mom as well as your friends. I’m obligated to go to the World Cup, so that means we’ll for sure spend some time there.
And I’m glad that you and Aubrey managed to get over your fight. Don’t worry, not every relationship is perfect. Besides, I would be more afraid of not having any fights versus having any for not relationship goes without fights. It’s a way of learning with each other after all.
Really James did that? Does his father know of this? Or have you guys kept that confrontation in the dark? I know that Al and James don’t get along very well, but I never knew it involved actually attacking each other. It’s not exactly a good thing for family members to fight like that. Hopefully one day you will all figure out a way to get along, even if you still dislike each other.
That’s right, Mr. Hugo Weasly had his toad taken from him by whoever attacked him. As for about a Baslisk, there was one that once roamed Hogwarts back during my second year. It attacked many students, and almost killed one. Fifty years prior to that it actually did kill a students. But Mr. Harry Potter managed to kill the Baslisk in his second year (I swore that man sure has a lot of luck up his sleeve to kill something like that) but they paralyze people when they look at its eyes indirectly. Kills if it looks directly in their eyes. But none of the students have been paralyzed so I don’t think a Baslisk has to do with this. And I know toads can be used to hatch a Baslisk, but it takes someone of dark magic to do so, powerful dark magic and they would need to know parsletounge in order to control it. I don’t think anyone at Hogwarts has the capability of doing that, so perhaps the toad was taken as a way to make Mr. Hugo Weasley suffer more. He was attached to that toad wasn’t he? I’ve heard Al joke about it from time to time.
Just keep letting me know what you hear. Don’t cause trouble, and don’t make Jacob upset if he catches you following him. I rather you three stay out as much trouble as possible.

She is on the team as an alternate keeper but I feel as if she tried out because of me and Al always going on about quidditch and how good it was and strategies and such. She isn’t a bad flier, but there have been a number of times she has spoke out loud about having her feet on the ground. Let’s just hope the first task doesn’t involve flying.
Why would I get jealous of him making captain? He didn’t get jealous when my prefect's badge came at the start of our fifth year. It’s only fair that he got made captain. He's made me co captain; just he has the official badge to prove it. Still I really don’t mind. I think if I had gotten the badge, I would have handed it straight to Al. Being a prefect and captain would sure take a lot of my time away from friends and Aubrey.
I can just imagine what you're going through right now. The ministry always seems to get busy nearing December and Christmas. Well you better get moving with work, there's no way I’m going to allow you to miss one second of the quidditch match because of some unforeseen event, I’ll drag you to the place myself if I have to. I'm declaring that you should have at least that week off from work; the ministry can do without you for a little while.
Yes well if she had told me she wanted to learn how to fly in the first place, our fight would have been well avoided. That was after she dragged me into Madam Puddifoot's tea shop; it’s such a horrid place. If mother tries and drags you there, I’d put my foot down and absolutely refuse. Trust me it’s worse than what it looks.
As far as I know, Albus hasn’t told Mr Potter nor has James. Nothing serious came out of it and I do believe the brothers have made up somewhat. Still Theia and I will get him come the first task, his face will be priceless when we finish first. Isn’t there anything you can tell me able the first task, it’s not cheating, I’m just trying to improve Theia and my chances of winning, come on just one small little thing.
The basilisk that Mr Potter killed was over 50 years old. What about a baby basilisk, is it still fatal to look at them in the eye or are their effects weaker than their adult counterpart? I know that there's only a slim chance someone would even think to hatch one, but it’s better to be prepared than sorry right? There is dark magic brewing here, I don't know who but there's just a dark sense here, it sorta makes the school feel a little unsafe and with the tournament being open for the public to view, I believe anything is possible at the moment. Yes Hugo adores his toad, I’ve never seen someone love a toad like Hugo does, I hope that it turns up alive and well soon.
Of course Father, I’ll write to you as soon as I hear something suspicious or is something happens. Trouble? Oh we don’t cause it, we just always end up in the middle of it and as for Jacob, we're going to be very careful when it comes to him.
