with smug satisfaction lilah watched the quaffle soar out of her hands past her fingertips, flying through the air. she saw a flash of maroon as one of the gryffindor chasers decided to try to interfere, but they were too impulsive and missed their chance. the quaffle soared through the air, landing safely with the other active ravenclaw chaser, and lilah was left grinning.
it felt good to be successful. to prove herself. ravenclaw was not a weak team, and delilah would not be the link that held them all back from victory. she had her weak points on the pitch, as did all players, but she certainly had her strengths, as well. her frame, speed, strength, it was all perfectly assorted for a chaser, a position that delilah hoped would lead her into, someday, a professional career. how better to start but winning the quidditch cup at hogwarts in her last year of school?

quidditch match dates were some of the best days at hogwarts. even with the tournament going on this year and all of the tasks, there was nothing quite as electrifying as a good quidditch match. the tasks were focused on one or two people from each house, whereas in quidditch games you had an entire team to cheer on. no matter which houses were playing, you knew at least one of the quidditch players. zac himself, today, knew a few of them, and was pretty close to the captain of the gryffindor team, lucas. so, of course, he was cheering on gryffindor. maybe grudges had a bit to do with his allegiance, too. after all, it was ravenclaw who had defeated hufflepuff at their first match of the year... why wouldn't he want to see them get crushed by the lions?
but things weren't quite going ideally for the way he wanted them to go. as with the hufflepuff game, ravenclaw was doing well. they had some good chasers on their team... but then again, so did gryffindor, and the only thing that really mattered in the end would be the snitch, right? so he kept his gaze fixed on the two seekers, or who he believed to be the two seekers, high above the bleachers. what they did would determine the outcome of the game.
(zac is just a simple spectator 'cause jadey needs zac posts!)

it was a little difficult for jessamine to really support one team or the other today, and so she compensated by alternating between cheering for gryffindor and then ravenclaw. it wasn't that she didn't like ravenclaw enough - they were her own house, she loved being a 'claw, it was just that her good friend, hugo, was a chaser on gryffindor and contrastingly, she wanted him to do well too. maybe it was a bit of a paradox but she supposed in the least, it meant that she would be happy with whoever won the match! he was a good friend and she wanted him to do well and to cheer for him, but then again she did feel a lot of loyalty toward her own house. oh well it couldn't be helped, and besides she wasn't much of a fan of quidditch and to her, the only thing the mattered about who won the cup each year was how happy it made her friends.
so far it seemed like ravenclaw were coming out on top as hugo just missed the quaffle as the whistle was blown, and then missed the pass. she bit her lip, silently wishing him on, come on hugo. she watched the ball pass along a few people, as bludgers were hit left right and centre to put them off. she didn't know how people could play this game. sure it was pretty high-level adrenlin stuff, fun to watch when it wasn't freezing cold or raining, but she didn't know how they stayed on those broomsticks. glue? jez had always disliked flying, never been one for it, and whilst she could admire those who played quidditch it really wasn't her sport. still she was perfectly happy to cheer everyone on, and she waved the banners once more in support with a grin.
ooc, jessamine is just a lowly spectator : )

Hector's hands closed around the quaffle and he gave a whoop of satisfaction. Grinning from ear to ear, he was truly awake now. Tucking it tightly under an arm, he shot off towards the goal posts. Dodging a bludger and almost losing hold of the quaffle, the tall Ravenclaw furrowed his brow. Behind him his partner flew up to guard, so that should he lose the quaffle she would be there to catch it. Oh Ravenclaws, always such smart students... Getting closer to the goal posts Hec threw his quaffle at the closet one, hoping that Lily wouldn't block it.

hugo frowned when he missed the quaffle, the ball just sliiping through his grasp and he groaned. he didnt have time to think about it though, he couldnt see any other chasers around. so he leaned forward straight away, hoping for a second chance at getting the quaffle back in gryffindors grasp. he didnt think their keeper would let it through their fingers, and he trusted her, but the odds of it being stopped were higher if two of them went after it.
he saw hec make his move and he made his, thinking about it this time he waited till the quaffle left hector's hand, his arm stretching out to try and grab the quaffle before it could get into the goals. even if lily did managed to stop it, it would be thrown back into the feld, where if he already had it, it'd be asier to get it back to the goals. he shifted, making his move, his arm out.

delilah was feeling pretty confident about ravenclaw's chances at the moment, at least, if nothing else, their chances for getting the quaffle through one of gryffindor's hoops. after all, it was only the little potter girl standing in their way now. she should be fairly easy to psych out putting ravenclaw on the board first. that would give the entire team a moral boost that could help them excel through the rest of the game.
and then hugo appeared out of nowhere. lilah barely even saw him before the quaffle was in his grasp instead of on its route towards the gryffindor keeper. the girl didn't even really think, swerving her course so that she faced the intruding gryffindor chaser. she instinctively darted forward, reaching out with a target of the quaffle as she tried to steal the quaffle for ravenclaw.

The head girl spotted James, her personal opponent in the game. Just like Albus and Lucy when it came to versing the other teams. James was definitely one that she needed to keep an eye on. Even if he spotted the small golden ball first, Raychel believed that she could catch it before him. She was quick and more agile than most guys.
Stealing a quick glance at the chasers, she was excited to see Hector now had possession of the quaffle. Good, she thought. At that moment she heard the distinct sound of a bat hitting a bludger. She ignored it though as cheers rose up in the stands. Her eyes immediately went to James thinking he had seen the snitch. No, that was good. She looked down to the play and notice Hector throwing the quaffle for goal. She never got to see the outcome as she heard her name over the roar of the wind and by Jaycen of all people. Wait... She thought, if Jaycen was near then so was a bludger. She spotted it as it approached, dodging it at the last minute. It had to have been the bludger she heard being hit which meant gryffindor didn't think they could win with her on the field. As much as she hated being a target, that thought boosted her confidence. "Thanks," she called out to Jaycen before looking over at the gryffindor goals, oh Hugo had the quaffle now. There wasn't much she could do about that and so she resumed her search for the golden ball.

Rose was flying steadildy towards Hector who had the quaffle at the time. However, that did not last for an exceptionally long time, as all of a sudden a bludge came out of seemingly no where and hit her. Where were the Gryffindor beaters? Rose had the question in her mind as she cradled her left arm in her right for a few moments. Those suckers hurt!
As she was recovering Rose looked around, trying to get caught up on what had happened in her temporary loss of focus on the game. She noticed that her brother now had posession of the quaffle, and a quick look at the points tld ehr that Ravenclaw had not scored. A quick word of thanks for both not being knocked off her broom, and for Ravenclaw not scoring, and she was off chasing after Hugo, awaiting a pass so they could proceed with a shot at a goal.

The third game if the season and Gryffindor really needed to kick it into gear. They lost their first game but this time they would bring a fight. The game started and already everyone was in action. She was searching for the right opening to go after a bludger and maybe helping out another team mate. She was a bit irritated that she couldn't make it to Roes in time before she was hit, at least the girl was still on her broom. Alaya looked around for where the bludger headed off to. She caught sight of it and headed after the blasted thing. Bludgers were troublesome to say the least. She she chases after the thing she was trying to figure out who she would try to hit down. It really depended on who was within range when she did reach the bludger. She figured it would be best just to wait and see.

Molly Wealsey was reckless on the pitch, perhaps that was why she never the team properly this year. Being demoted to alternate was something that didnt sit well with the redheaded ravenclaw.
The whistle blew and Deliliah was the first to get to the quaffle, just before her cousin Hugo. A smile appeared on her face as she watched the pass be successful to Hector, but that was where it all went wrong. Hector threw for goal and her cousin intercepted before it could get to...well another cousin of hers. It seemed like the gryffindor team consisted many of her cousins. Well then she figured it was her turn to get in on the action. Angling her broom she headed for the small cluster of chasers. She spotted Rose and flew towards her. That bludger that had hit look like it hurt. Once the game was over, she'd see how her cousin was but up in the air they were rivals. Levelling with the gryffindor, she smiled innocently before bumped her shoulder against Rose. Oh yes she was an aggressive player, her family should have known that by now. Not staying beside Rose for long, she headed towards Hugo, noticing Delilish was trying to steal the quaffle.
It would be better for 2 chasers to try and steal than one. Yes she'd help Deliliah. Flying up beside Hugo, much like she had with Rose, hoping that she was blocking any chances of passing to Rose she reached out and attempted to steal the quaffle from him, hoping that either her or Deliliah could get it away from her gryffindor cousin.

The quidditch match was easily on it's way and this was going to go well for him it seemed. Not letting his guard down was a key during this match even if he was up against Ravenclaw it wouldn't matter, James really had to have faith in this game otherwise his teammates would surely go down with him. Lily was on then field with them too and he remembered how often she had scolded him for shunning her. Well, today would be a first for them if they actually won against Ravenclaw who seemed well-equipped to handle anything they threw at them today as their keeper, also the captain, seemed to be on guard already as if he was actually expecting anything to make it past him.
Well, that's easier said than done, but now he had another problem on his hands as he noticed Raychel was trailing behind him even as he sat still for a minute to try looking for the snitch again. No signs of it so far and he wasn't planning on letting Ravenclaw win at all. Letting it get to his head really wasn't going to help matters, and he didn't have much control over what was going to happen either way. Maybe someone would actually score points this game, but in the end it all relied on the efforts of the seekers unless Gryffindor somehow pulled into the lead with 170 points leaving Ravenclaw in the dust.
Even the seeker catching the snitch on their team wouldn't be able to stop that from happening. Veering off to the side to make sure he was avoiding bludgers too in case one was aimed at him in the long run. Well, as long as his own beaters were making sure to keep them from hitting him he shouldn't have a problem at all.
[/blockquote][/blockquote][/justify] Notes: James is still searching for the snitch.

Seizel wasn't sure if he was just bored but he couldn't do anything else until someone attempted to score on him. As much as he wanted his own team to win, perhaps just waiting for that quaffle to make it's way towards him as he stated to veer off course a little. Funny thing, that this game could make you think about strategy all the more as you watched all the plays on the field trying to make themselves play out. It seemed that statistics were a great part of this game instead of just throwing the quaffle away to ensure that it actually hit in the end. Just like many other factors that had to be taken into consideration when playing a certain strategy.
Perhaps, he would just fall asleep and wait until he accidentally let the quaffle go in. Then he would never hear the end of it from his teammates so he did his best to stay on guard. Ready to fight to the end if he had to, and starting to get that determination welling up in the pit of his stomach, although he knew he was up against Alaya. That was almost a little unsettling, but he knew that she wouldn't let the game effect her view of him at least. Ah well, he would just hover and protect the goal, perhaps dust it off a little. Nah, maybe a good touch-up would be all it needed as he just hovered there some more waiting for something vaguely interesting to happen besides the gyrffindor team being beat on by bludgers.

Hector felt the quaffle leave his his hands, happy that he was throwing at the goal posts. Until Hugo caught it. Cursing under his breath Hector sped off after him. Glancing at his partner, he tried to signal a trick. He wanted her to fly in like she was going to ram into him, then Hec would come in and slid that quaffle right out from under his nose. Or well, he would be trying to intercept his pass. Zooming right up behind the Gryffindor chaser Hector let a growl rip through his throat, aiming to throw the student off and distract him.

Rose was flying steady once again, still very thankful that the bludge had not knocked her clear off her broom. Then someone came up and nudged her shoulder, and not in a friendly way. As the girl flew off towards the quaffle and her brother, Rose caught sight of Molly. Sure Rose and molly got along off the pitch, but in a game against each other, well, that said it all, they were against each other.
Rose flew to try and catch up with her cousin, and protect her brother from the quaffle being stolen, but she was too late. The Ravenclaw chaser Delilah now had the quaffle in her posession. Rose growled a little under her breath and flew after Delilah, trying to steal the quaffle back for the Gryffindor team.

She was ready to strike the bludger, now she just needed to find her target. She quickly scanned the field and she was in luck. Ravenclaw just stole the quaffle, and she was in range. Alaya swung the bat and hit the bludger aiming for Delilah. She hoped it would make up for one of their team mates being hit by a bludger earlier. Hopefully they would be able to get the quaffle back and make a few scores. But in the end it was up to the seeker to finish the game. She just had to keep her eyes open and deal with the balls that seemed to have a mind of their own. Gryffindor needed a win and she hoped this was the day for that.

James was curiously trying to defend his position but he wasn't going to let Raychel even know he had glanced a chance to catch the snitch as it suddenly flew into view. If only he could just reach out and touch it as it hovered near him for a mere second then flew away at the speed of light as he realized he was slowing down. The golden snitch was obviously taunting him and making him want to catch it all that much more as he tried to focus on it a little bit. Having been so close to grabbing it, but alas, luck wasn't on his side even as he tumbled to the left to avoid falling after having that encounter with the snitch.
Looking over his shoulder he still noticed Raychel flying around too, trying to find the golden ball, as he was just starting to pick up speed now so that he could keep up with it. Having lost it, he soon honed his mind, and stopped in midair closing his eyes to focus on the sensations of the whirring in the air. The way the metallic snitch made it's hovering noise while it flew, and which direction it had headed. With all of the other brooms in the air and all of the other players James found that he couldn't actually hear anything despite how cool he was trying to act in front of the whole crowd.
Then James took off and veered straight to where he had seen the snitch before he had lost it to hopefully make sure that Gryffindor did gain the lead in the end. In his mind he was almost doubting they would win, but he was going to be rather angry if they lost again.
Notes: James spotted the snitch, lost it, searching for it again.

Seizel was perfectly content hovering in the air as he noticed the other team start to gain possession of the quaffle. That's when they took right back and Seizel seemed to yawn a bit wondering if this was going to be anything like last game where no one would score at all until the snitch was caught. Well, either way, he wouldn't forget to guard the goal this time, but he had done a good job last time. After all, he had caught the quaffle and returned it to it's rightful place at his team's side.
That quaffle should be going through Gryffindor's hoop soon and he at least wanted a one-hundred and sixty point lead just to be safe. Bah, like that was gonna happen, Seizel kept hovering there trying to determine if this was even worth it in the long -run. Even after beating Hufflepuff, there was no doubt in his mind that Slytherin would be even more of a challenge when they came up against them. Then that would decide the basic play-off matches, or who would go up against who in the final round. Ah, such fun quidditch was as Seizel kept quietly contemplating moves over and over to use just lounging in front of the goal post. Waste of time really, but he had his strategy to go with to guard the goals from being scored upon.
Notes: Seizel is thinking about useless drivel AND guarding the goal posts for Ravenclaw.
