“When exactly have I been too busy for you?” Cue another arrow shot in Aubrey’s heart. She really needed to think more of she wanted to say before actually speaking them. She was screwing this up, and really it was meant to be a surprise for Scorp anyways, but even after she told him that, he was getting even more defensive about it. What would poor Aubrey do? “Fine, do whatever you want, you always seem to anyways.” Oh, so he wanted to play it that way? Make Aubrey feel even guiltier than she already was? It felt like he didn’t like the idea of her trying to surprise him with something for once. She thought he would actually like that.
“Well Sorry for thinking you would like me to surprise you with something,” she pouted as she pushed her plate away from her, her appetite completely gone. “I guess I just won’t try to surprise you with anything anymore, cause from the looks of it, you don’t handle surprises well.” She stood up and notice that the waitress was headed their way again. Not that she really cared. She was ready to leave now. “I guess it was a bad idea to come here in the first place. I’m think I’m ready to leave now,” she said as she crossed her arms and the waitress had just gotten to the table. It annoyed Aubrey slightly that the waitress was standing there looking between the two of them as if waiting for one of them to pay. Couldn’t the waitress go somewhere else until they told her they were ready to pay?

He watched her push her plate away. If she was trying to make him feel guilty then she'd have to try harder. He continued eating his chicken salad whilst she spoke again. Sorry, so she should be, if only she used that brain of hers then she might have thought that he'd help her.
It wasn't exactly the surprise part of it, it was the fact she was learning something dangerous. What if something happened to her? How would she take it if the situation was reversed. He saw her stand and he simply rolled him eyes "For Merlin sake stop causing a scene, you're worse than Theia," he spoke, noticing the waitress was heading there way. Well it looked like Aubrey got her way yet again. Still perhaps she should have listened to him in the first place about not coming here. He fished out the correct money from his pocket after the waitress produced a receipt and handed her the money. Maybe it was that time of month that made Aubrey seem all moody but there was no reason to take it out on him, no reason to try and make him feel guilty. Ok so he didn't like the fact she was trying to fly without him, the whole situation could have been averted if she had asked him then and there to help her, but instead she wanted to carry on and make a scene.
Scorpius stood and headed towards the doors not really caring if Aubrey was following or not. She was the one that needed to calm down, not him. Maybe dumping an ice cold bucket of water on her head might do the trick, but he had never been one for pranking, instead he just kept walking.

“ For Merlin sake stop causing a scene, you're worse than Theia,” and cue a third arrow right through Aubrey’s heart as she stood there watching him give the waitress money. Did he really think she was worse than Theia? Maybe she was acting out a bit more than usual. But didn’t he also realize that she felt hurt at how guilty he was making her feel. She really did want it to be a surprise for him. Oh why couldn’t she have kept her mouth shut? The thing was, Aubrey wasn’t that good at keeping certain secrets. Especially when it came to her wanting to surprise someone.
Instead of running after Scorp instantly after he had paid the waitress and began to leave, she stood there thinking that perhaps she had gone too far this time. What was she to do? She thought she heard the waitress asking her if she was going to leave anytime soon, but Aubrey just ignored her. Or rather she probably just figured she was hearing things as she was zoning out once again, focused on what had just happened.
Then she felt a touch on her shoulder bringing her back to reality as she turned around, hoping it was Scorpius, but only to find that it was the waitress trying to get her attention, which only brought her mood down even more. “Fine I’ll leave, just don’t touch me,” she said quietly before turning on her heel and heading out of the shop as she made a mental note to herself to never go there again. It really wasn’t that great as some of the girls in her class had made it out to be. Apparently she wasn’t like the rest of them.
But now she needed to find Scorpius, she really hoped that he hadn’t gone too far ahead of her. She would apologize to him, maybe quick stop and Honeydukes and let him pick out a candy. Yes that seemed like the right thing to do. What else could she do? Maybe she could ask if he wanted to go out and fly with her for their next date. Yes that seemed like a good idea. “Scorp!” she called out to him when she saw the familiar blonde hair of his. She just hoped that he would turn around and not just ignore her.

Scorpius took in a deep breath. It felt as if a spell had been lifted off of him as soon as he stepped out of that place, but that surely that was just his imagination. His mind replaying the whole fight back to him, trying to analyse it the best he could and realised that they both had gone too far. That was it he thought, over a stupid fight about Aubrey wanting to fly. Their whole relationship was gone. He glanced back, Aubrey hadn’t come out after him, which just made the thought in his mind all the more stronger. So she thought they were over too, no need to run out after him to apologise or even try and make up. He hung his head as he trudged on, looking at the road a few feet in front of him, not really caring where his feet were taking him.
Then he heard it just about the chatter of people he had just walked past. His name being called out and by Aubrey of all people. So she had followed him, perhaps their relationship wasn’t as doomed as he thought it was. He stopped walking and looked over his shoulder before letting his whole body turn around. Now what, he thought as he looked at her, not really knowing what to say and afraid that if he opened his mouth again he'd regret whatever came out of it. So he left it up to her to make the next move.

He stopped and Aubrey’s heart skipped a beat. Did this mean that he really wasn’t as upset as she thought he was? She really hoped so as she finally caught up to him. She was gazing at him, this was the boy that she had gained a crush on back when she first became a prefect. Sure it was only a little over a year ago, yet Aubrey couldn’t help but feel that it had been longer and she didn’t want to lose him. But now they were staring at each other, silence had fallen over the both of them and Aubrey swore that people were staring at the two of them, wondering why they were just standing there looking at each other.
The look on Scorp’s face and Aubrey knew he was still in a sour mood, she needed to be careful about what she said next. She didn’t want to upset him again and send him running off for good. No, that just couldn’t happen at all. But what could she say? She was sure that he was probably growing impatient as he waited for her to speak. Then it finally came to her, the perfect thing to say. “I’m sorry for bringing you to that horrible place…” she started speaking softly. She didn’t need others to hear what she was saying just from passing by. She was also careful not to speak of the name of the place so that no one would know what place she was even talking about.
“How about next time we go out to the Quidditch Field. I know you can show me some more pointers,” she looked up at him, gazing in his eyes as her soft pink lips curled into a small smile. She sure hoped that he liked the sound of it, she didn’t know what she would do if it didn’t work. Besides, she really did like the idea of flying up into the air with Scorp beside her.

He probably looked like an idiot standing there just staring at her. Blinking he tore his gaze from her and glanced around. He got the few odd looks but nothing more. Perhaps it wasn’t just muggles that didn’t notice things, or perhaps people knew when to keep their heads down and out of other people's business. Either that or they averted their eyes as soon as he looked up. This though wasn’t a thing for people to see, them fighting and such. He could already picture the article and its title if it were ever to make it to the prophet. Sometimes being the minister's son wasn’t all that cracked up to be, although at least he was able to get away with little things.
The silence that was between them was starting to seem a little tense and awkward. Was she waiting for him to say something. And then she spoke, after what felt like hours, he finally heard her voice and he almost missed what she had said. Could she get any quieter, he wondered. So she was sorry for taking him there. In was in half a mind to tell her that he told her so and the other half wanted him to roll his eyes. Sorry was only a word and often held little meaning. People threw the word around a lot. Was she really sorry or was she just saying it? It only took a moment for him to think, Aubrey never said anything she didn’t mean, so she had to have meant the word right? He sighed, he was sorry to for acting like a jerk, but he hated saying the word sorry, hated admitting that one way or another he was in the wrong and so he'd find a way to make it up to her.
But then she suggested that they go to the quidditch pitch next time so that he could help her fly and well he could fly with her. It was tempting to drag her there now, but then he would miss out on going to Honeydukes. Taking a step closer to Aubrey, he peered down at her. "Never again," he spoke through clenched teeth, "If you so much as think of that place, I will refuse to help you fly." Her smile melted him, so much that he couldn’t help but reach out, pulling her to him in a crushing hug, his eyes closed as he rested his chin on top of her head, taking in the scent of her hair. "You owe me," he spoke softly.

The silence felt like it would last forever, was he going to turn around and ignore her? Perhaps she hadn’t shown him how sorry she was, because she did feel quite sorry that she ever did that to him. Oh why had she even thought that going there would be a good date for the two of them, she really should’ve thought it through just as she should’ve when it came to learning to fly. But perhaps it was too late now, maybe he didn’t want to teach her how to fly anymore, maybe he wanted to shut her out of his life. But Aubrey didn’t want that, if that were to ever happen she didn’t know how she would manage it. And then he took a step closer to her and peered down at her, was he going to yell at her? She probably deserved it anyways. “Never again,” she saw him grit his teeth., “If you so much as think of that place, I will refuse to help you fly.” and at that moment she made a promise to herself to never mention or even think of that place again.
And then the next thing she knew she was being pulled into his arms and pushed up against his warm body and she smiled resting her head on his chest as he rested his chin upon her head. “You owe me,” she heard him say softly to her and she couldn’t help but smile even more as she wrapped her arms around him to return her hug, ignoring all the stares the two of them were getting. She didn’t care what others thought, she really did care for Scorpius after all. “How about we start by going to Honeydukes?
” she said softly as she lifted her head up off of his chest too look up at him, a wide smile on her face. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

It was just a stupid fight, he thought, a petty thing over a stupid tea shop. They could work through this. Maybe this fight was a wakeup call for him. He had been too busy with school, prefect duties, quidditch, Al and Theia that its didn’t leave much time for Aubrey. Perhaps his fight was trying to tell him that he needed to spend more time with her. He needed to find more time; he needed more hours in a day.
He took a deep breath just as she moved her head to look up at him. Start by going to Honeydukes. Well it was certainly a start but it wouldn’t let her off the hook that easily. He had wanted to go to Honeydukes though and so he nodded. "It’s a start," he replied. Perhaps their date wasn’t as ruined as what he first thought, maybe they could have laugh and joke now that their little fight was over. He wanted to forget the whole thing and so he would, he'd go to Honeydukes with her and then drag her into the Three Broomsticks for a warm butterbeer before they slowly made their way back to the castle. Would she be happy to do that or did she have any other of her 'brilliant' ideas that she wanted to try. Well if so, he had learnt to put his foot down when it came to her, no more giving into those puppy dog eyes of hers no matter how hard it was to resist them. Releasing her from the hug, he kept one arm around her, tucking her close to his side. He wanted to feel her next to him and he didn’t want her to freeze in this autumn weather.
