Jacob considered Maharet quite the little fox to even have trapped him like she had just then, but that didn't stop him from hovering in towards her ear. Then started to whisper huskily and sensually as his hands brushed across her chest in a rather alluring way, just avoiding the natural spots to increase pleasure. Surely this was pushing some sort of boundary, but in no way was he trying to please her, just leave an after-burn so she'd crave more. It was his own wish to keep her satisfied on a level so many others couldn't as he knew that he was the only person that could truly satisfy all her cravings in the long run. With Maharet by his side, Jacob did feel like he could accomplish anything right then and there.
Jacob was controlling himself rather well now, but he was just letting her urges get the better of her or attempting to make her give in to her own desires again. Surely he had left her wanting more earlier and was wanting to tango again. Not this soon though, but Jacob had enjoyed their run. Returning to the castle meant he'd have to do it alone, perhaps they could meet up later away from prying eyes. It was bad for their reputations to be seen together in the long run, especially if Jacob was seen being nice to her. That would ruin his own plans to be the most feared in the school, aside from Olivia and Chun. That facade that Olivia put on was one that not many could see past or enjoy.
Jacob's own demeanor was of a natural pureblood that didn't know what else he could get away with. Considering the possibilities of what limits he had right now, he soon whispered seductively into her ear. Breathing growing more husky again, and this time he was attempting to seduce her in return. Wondering if this is how it was supposed to work, making her beg for him instead of the other way around. Jacob was used to seeing her get her way, but with him it was a whole different story. Finally just getting a slight distraction to ease his mind, he noticed a few other people far off in the distance. Time for him to leave her side for a moment or two pretending he wasn't even near her. Then finally looked back over towards her as he was near the Forbidden forest now.
It seemed odd to be near there, when they were at the lake earlier, but it didn't concern him all that much. Jacob wondered when Maharet was going to want to get out of her jogging clothes as he walked back up to her once the other nosy students had walked away. Even if he was going to agree with her conduct about this, he sort of picked up that she still liked to be miss perfect even around the school grounds. There had to be a place where she could let all her inhibitions go, and he could think of a few places. Like at his place back home, or somewhere in Hogsmeade that not many people would think of going to.
Yes, those were good places to start, but for now, he was just content with how things were between them. "I'll have you begging for more, what do you say we continue this later when you're changed and out near the Forbidden forest or sometime on the weekend in Hogsmeade?" he asked sensually. Although he wasn't too worried about not going further right now, but he gave her the option of changing clothes now that it looked like she was done her run. Even if his touch was intoxicating he had moved his one hand down to the front of her thigh just once and then moved back a little further so he was out of sight from anyone that dared trying to look at them.

She was unflinching at first doing her utmost to ignore how his breath on her neck sent tingles through her and the feel of his hands teasing her in the most tender of ways. But there was only so much that Maharet could block out. Her mind forced itself to think of unrelated things, preferably things that repulsed her, but it was useless. Jacob’s presence was too strong to brush off like some common fling. Maggie actually cared about Jacob, to what extent she wasn’t sure, but the mere notion that she had any semblance of genuine feelings toward him was enough to make her a bit muddled from her norm. There were things that she needed to sort out. Maharet didn’t see that happening while they were still around one another though.
Biting into her lower lip harshly she contained the moan that was threatening to escape her. Despite suspecting that Jacob was intentionally riling her up, Maggie couldn’t stop her natural urges. She had half a mind to walk away from him right then and there to put a stop to any more of his taunting, to make sure that she didn’t give him what he wanted, again. Maharet did want more. She had wanted it since the moment Jacob’s hands left her body and was reminded of what pleasures were in store for her every time he touched her again. It was incredibly frustrating, but even that made the experience all the more enticing.
Maggie was still rooted to the spot when Jacob wandered off to avoid being seen with her, which she was grateful for because she really didn’t think that she would be able to move in time. She yearned for Jacob so much in that moment that her body was too weak and her head was spinning with pent up lust that Maharet couldn’t really get her barring about her. She felt uneasy on her feet like she was trying to walk on a waterbed, yet she was standing still. Her cheeks were flushed as well, far too wound up by the lack of release to make much sense of what was going on around her. Maggie almost felt guilty for inciting this same feeling in boys so often, but there was something appealing about it as well. It was like she was removed from reality.
Her body pulsed with pleasure feeling Jacob’s heat radiating off of him to consumed her shivering. Now, she was internally begging for it now. Luckily Maharet had enough sense not to whimper for Jacob. She would never live that down. Later would be better wouldn’t it? Maggie could go get a nice long cold shower, jump some poor unsuspecting guy and completely devour him taking out all her sexual frustration. Being edged into the concealment of the trees Maharet shrugged out of Jacob’s grasp. Enough was enough; she wasn’t going to be some submissive little lamb for him to slaughter. She was determined to have some say in all this. Turning on Jacob letting her anger show, something that Maggie wasn’t all that conscious of, she huffed. “No,” But it was all that she could get out without her voice breaking into a pleading tone so was quick to clamp her mouth shut. She was going to demand he take her then and there just couldn’t, not yet. Maharet forced herself to believe that the vagueness of her reply was a good thing, that maybe it would turn the tables and have Jacob sweating for a change.

Jacob wasn't daft in the slightest and anyone who thought so would be regretting hiding their feelings for him, but right now he was considering Maharet's reaction for a moment. Letting her body answer for her, he wasn't one to give up as he walked back over towards her again. Unable to hide his natural reaction to her body as he pressed into her just once more as his hands slipped around her waist sensually and let his tongue flicker lightly along her ear-lobe. Trailing soft finger-touch kisses along her neck just once more as he then held her in place not letting her go until she gave him a truthful answer. In fact, he was rather serious about this endeavour, but he also had to think this over in the long runt oo.
Was Maharet going to be his goal instead of Olivia for now? Honestly, he could really care less about Olivia at the moment as this blond bombshell had him captivated now. Desire was the one thing that had him bested a lot of the time, and right now wasn't any different. Definitely needing a little space from her, he was sure they would keep in contact through owls so no one would be suspicious of them at all. It was an easy way to communicate and just in case anyone dared try to read his letters, well they'd have invisible ink on them that only they would know to look at. Surely, someone else would have found those eventually, but he wasn't too fond of secrecy in the long run.
Although, the more him and Maharet were together, the higher chance they had of being seen together, which didn't effect his plans any. Jacob was considering where he wanted to leave this off at as he kept her in his arms possessively knowing he had an effect on her. After all, he wasn't allowed to get this close usually so he was taking advantage of that fact for the time being until she pushed away or gave in to her own desires again. Gently rotating his hips against her playfully just once more, but he wasn't as playful as last time. Gripping her shoulders he looked into her serene eyes as his own seemed to swim with chaos engulfing them. "No? We'll see about that, I'm sure you'll be begging for more soon enough," he said in a whisper.
There really was no way of telling what she was trying to attempt with him, but he knew that deep down somewhere inside her she might have deeper feelings for him. Otherwise, Jacob doubted she would have given in to those urges of hers, but he would comply with whatever decision she made. After all, he was pretending to make it look like he was the one stringing her along, letting her decide for a change as he was just rubbing her sides so tenderly.

Once his arms were around her Maharet knew that it would be futile to try and remove herself from the situation. It was too hard to think with him so close touching her in the way that he was. Now Maggie was sure he was doing it on purpose. Jacob wanted her to be weak for him. Not that she could blame him, it was the same thing that she strived to achieve with others. Maharet had always had a craving for power. It was the reason that she did her utmost to keep all the right people happy with her. It was also usually the main motivation in going after certain men. They were easier to deal with than females for her. Still, she tested just how determined Jacob was to keep her against him by taking a small experimental step forward. All it did though was give her a fraction of an inch space, something that didn’t last.
If this relationship of theirs was going escalate to more than what it previously had been then there were things that they needed to figure out. She couldn’t be seen with him groping her, or her liking it, or being nice to one another. In public they would have to be as they always had been, exchange witty banter, pretend that they disliked one another for the most part. Maharet had tolerated being around Jacob for two main reasons; because she respected him and because his sister was like a mentor to her. They had been friends when Persephone has been in school and were close still. It hit Maggie that she wasn’t sure how Persephone would feel about this new found closeness between Jacob and herself. But did it really matter?
Outwardly Maharet was able to seem clam, but internally it was a whole other story. He was driving her crazy with that slow movement of his hips, rubbing against her like that. She already wanted it, wanted him. She tried to focus to come back with an appropriate retort but it was still too difficult and words tumbled out of her mouth that would hopefully match the stern expression that was defiantly adorning her features. “I don’t beg.” Maggie informed trying her best to sound firm on the issue. “Why don’t you put up or shut up?” A challenging edge managed to slip its way into her tone. It was a great relief. Nothing had been so hard to do in her life.
Maggie needed to take control here, or at least regain some power. She was loosing herself in the moment. Set on giving just as good as she got, Maharet’s hand slipped up Jacob’s chest letting her gaze flicker from his face to where her hands rested. A small distraction ,but enough for Maggie to gain her wits about her again. Her fingers crawled their way up lacing in Jacob’s hair then gave a slight tug. Just a little reminder to him that she was still herself even if it was fabricated.

Smirking as he was watching her battle with herself and soon he was pulling away from her to let her regain her composure so she could work on any other form of method she had to keep him there. Jacob wasn't one to settle down either, as his mind turned to the many other thoughts about where this relationship could lead, and giving her some breathing space at times seemed to have been a bad idea. It normally lead her to think, but he had to be careful with what he said next. Especially since she was rather stern about begging, and he knew fully well she didn't like the sound of it from the tone of her voice. Although he wasn't about to shut up anytime soon.
In fact, he was more or less encouraging her to talk back, just because it wasn't Maharet if she didn't at least do so at some point. Wanting her had been the hardest thing for him, but he was getting what he wanted out of his deal. There was another side to this that he hadn't considered and that was how it would effect her relations with other prefects thinking she's a sweet-heart. Oh, he was sure that in some scenarios he could have easily brought out the darker side more in her. Modesty was not one of Jacob's key attributes, and in fact he found it even harder to resist just taunting her in general. What else could he do now to prolong their situation? Nothing really as he had nothing else to say aside from what he had wanted.
Jacob had to either figure out when to be quiet, or would let her decide when would be a good time to get together, however, he wasn't going to relinquish control just for her. Jacob almost flicked her on the forehead with sheer power, but had stopped himself reminding himself of their agreement. Now, he had to focus on what she would want out of this deal, but at the same time he hoped that tomorrow was definitely not going to be the same. It would be too boring if Maharet was always this easy and he was sure that she'd try to spice things up somehow. Just like today, and tomorrow he figured the truce would end. As he had always predicted with her, but maybe she'd surprise him.
Jacob had to control his feelings now as he looked at her, his stern expression not even flinching when she said that. Obviously, it was one of his facades to gauge how angry she'd be if he showed that he didn't care what she thought. Mainly, it was also to get out of her grasp considering he -hated- when she tugged on his hair as it was a childish move that made him furious. Luckily, he still kept his composure about him, and soon spoke to her, "You're, right, I'm forgetting you're the great Maharet, the only Ravenclaw that actually stand up to my prowess, and I believe I won't be telling anyone at all about this," he added, making it sound rather simple.
As for their meeting right now, it was odd that what had transpired between them felt like it would change them a little around each other, but leave it to Jacob to start up the old kindle of rivalry, it wouldn't be them if he didn't.

It was easy to slip back into their old ways now that she was frustrated with him. She enjoyed the teasing but only if it lead to something. Her body was too on edge not to snap at Jacob, which was exactly what had happened. In the process at least it got her back to some semblance of herself. She imagined that it would become boring if she didn’t challenge Jacob on occasion. It was the illusion of the chase that kept guys interested, but the promise of actually catching the girl that made them stick around. Clearly they were on round two. Making him mad had become her main priority. A little pay back for the feelings that he had incited in her.
Aside from getting pay back, Maharet had a certain fondness for danger. It got her hot and if she could draw it out in others she was able to feel in control, whether she actually was or not, because it was her doing. That was only known to her on a subconscious level in this situation. Other times it was Maggie’s directive, but now it was instinct. Jacob’s reply caused a flash of mischief to glint in her eyes. Slowly, a smirk tugged at her lips. “At least you caught yourself.” Maharet stated glibly. “You really should keep this quiet.” She encouraged.
Maharet was certain that she wouldn’t be telling anyone about it. It would hinder too many of her plans. She doubted, especially considering Jacob’s assurance that he was claiming her for himself, that it would be kept quiet. Rumours were always running ramped and it was only a matter of time before whispers of Jacob’s possession of her hit the halls. It would be easy enough to avoid confirming such rumours. All it took was a little creative word play on her part. Denying, and in effect lying, about it probably wouldn’t sit well with Jacob but he couldn’t fault her for maneuvering around the issue.
“Tell you what, you keep me happy and I’ll give you what you want.” It was a fair trade. Keeping her happy meant keeping their relationship secret and giving him what he wanted was subjective to what whim he needed satisfied at any given time. Maggie did realize that there were bound to some problems with this arrangement but as long as Jacob didn’t realize that right away it was worth suggesting. Obviously she was still going to be herself with him, which was the main thing that was liable to cause problems with giving Jacob what he wanted, because although Maharet planned on sticking to her word she was still going to do things her way. She offered a small smile in anticipation.

Jacob was actually considering her proposition that was falling right into his plans and his trap in the process. Even if he wasn't going to tell her just what it was she was wanting to know, and he gave her that snide knowing dangerous smile everyone seemed to be cautious of. Only Olivia knew what he was thinking and he hated it, which is why he was aiming to learn Occlumency. Having gotten fed up trying to get the teachers to teach him it for person reasons, but he was still going to be rather stubborn about it. Not wanting to get into a whole argument over this he thought the best thing was to agree, for now, until this relationship grew stale.
Jacob would drop it faster than a hot pocket, but he knew there were advantages to this arrangement, especially moving around in secret. He honestly wasn't going to spill the beans to anyone, and the few that would know wouldn't go around starting rumors anyways. Jacob was intent on keeping this a secret from even Olivia, but he had to steel his mind to not think about her. That would be his first mistake, actually thinking while he was around Olivia, but he promised to himself that he would keep it clear from now on. The birds chirping outside earlier had caught his attention as he hummed a slightly disheartening tune in thought.
Silence was one of his worst traits at times, but he preferred being manipulative and ruthless than just waiting to sit back to see a plan unravel. Just not the way he worked, even now with Maharet, his long time rival, yet now secret lover standing not too far from him. Knowing she couldn't deny his wants just then, as he was unable to control his bodily urges once more, but he managed to somehow keep a reign on his temper. "Oh, yes, I've got my temper in check, and that sounds like a fair trade. Although, I didn't say when it would end either," he added slightly. Grinning towards her, adding that last bit just to add a little snippet to when he could actually end their little game.
After all, Jacob really didn't do anything unless it benefited him greatly, but he was left wondering what he could possibly gain out of this? Was it a way to get Maharet to have attacks blamed on her in the long run, no, but Jacob wouldn't care if she blamed the attack on him if she attacked any students. Jacob was good at using Obliviate, and getting out of many things that happened to him. Sighing softly he just decided to go with it, after all, nothing could be worse than making a deal with what he considered a succubus. Yes, Maharet reminded him of a succubus, devouring men's souls and drawing power from them. Not that he cared anymore, now just agreeing with her plan, "You do intrigue me a lot sometimes, perhaps that's why we get along so well," he taunted her.
Even being closer to her at times could be revolting, but in this case he knew fully well that she was rather appealing.

He was thinking again. Maharet didn’t like it when Jacob was thinking, mostly because she had no way of knowing what was on his mind. On top of the uneasy feeling that gave her, seeing that devious smile of his definitely was enough to put her on edge. At the same time though Maggie liked the wariness, she was attracted to the way it made her heart race. She searched his face for any indicator of what Jacob was thinking, but that wasn’t a reliable method. He had always been hard to read. Some wore their heart’s on their sleeves, others had tells, but Jacob was too manipulative for her to assume anything about him.
The silence was also killing her. It allowed her mind to reel with speculations. Speculations which did nothing to soothe her concerns. Maharet inaudibly sighed, one of relief, when Jacob finally spoke. His temper was mild for his usual. He hadn’t lashed out at her once despite the snarky attitude that she had been using with him. Maggie wasn’t sure if she should be grateful or worried about it. Maybe she was just growing on him in a different way than she had before. Usually sleeping with a guy didn’t change anything, but in this case, considering that it was Jacob she was dealing with, everything was changing. It could all be for the better. She hoped as much at least.
“Neither did I.” Maharet reminded grinning back at him. For all she knew they could wake up the next morning and decide that what had transpired between them today had been nothing more than a fluke. The way that she was feeling now though told her that this, as best as she could describe it, relationship wouldn’t have that short of a shelf life. There was something about Jacob that she liked. Maggie had always liked him in some way, but now it was deeper than just tolerance. It scared her actually. He scared her and not because Jacob was intimidating. No, it was because he had the potential to hurt her emotionally. No one had ever had even the remotest possibility in doing that before. She kept her expression clear of this revelation though. Maharet Rosier did not have insecurities.
He intrigued her too. She didn’t respect many of her peers but Jacob had earned that from her a long time ago and kept up with it. It was more than that though. Maggie had tasted, to some extent, the power that Jacob could offer and was hungry for more. “Careful Love, a girl can get used to flattery rather quickly.” Maharet doubted that many people intrigued him so to be one of the few, let alone him admitting it to her, was quite flattering. “And here I was thinking it was all about the sex.” She couldn’t help but laugh at her sarcastic remark. Maggie stepped up to Jacob hooking her finger into the waistband of his trousers and stood on her tiptoes to give him a tender kiss. What appealed to her about Jacob at the moment, and most of the time, was that he challenged her. Maharet’s blue eyes roamed over his rugged features noticing how attractive Jacob really was, especially since he wasn’t sneering, scowling or making any other number of unpleasant expressions toward people that were meant to ward off and inimtidate.

Jacob nodded to her as she spoke to him his eyes following her luscious full lips as she was talking, just letting his body do wonders to her. Now he was curious as to what she could be thinking in return, but that normally got him into trouble. Getting emotionally attached to her would be a bad thing, but he felt there was already some deeper connection within him. It was like he knew exactly what she was thinking at times, but right now he was confused as to why she had given up on just letting him please her body the way she had. Feeling her kiss lingering on his lips, he soon pressed his back against her own full ones.
The taste of her full luscious lips was intoxicating, and he couldn't get enough as he held on for a moment or two. Now his hand was just relaxing on her stomach to support himself just in case she wished to push him back into a tree again. Then as he pulled away looked into her eyes, and he noticed that they had been out here for a while. Not only that, Jacob's stomach gave away his position as it started to growl and he soon felt a slight tinge of embarrassment brightening up his cheeks. Unusual for the suave, mean Jacob Warrington to actually let his cool down over some food. In this case he had perfect reason to be after the rigorous activities they had just overcome.
Thoughts, the one thing he wished he could protect, and now he was looking at Maharet with a vague idea of what they could do in the near future. The topic would be brought up somehow, but if he could block his mind against her intrusions they'd need to learn the spell that would let them do it too. Speaking his own thoughts he soon decided that it was best for them to head back after all that was said and done anyways. There was too much to do and too little to accomplish as he kissed her deeply once more on the lips. Not leaving her wanting more this time as his hands kept to himself, just to let her have that after-effect of feeling his lips on her own.
Once her finger hooked on his trousers, he looked down while speaking towards her, "Well, you just bring out my 'good' side," he chuckled as he said that. Labeling his good side was a rather egotistical move, but his smile was definitely a rare one that not many got to see. It was genuine in nature this time and brought out his eyes, despite the power behind him. "Trust me, if it was just for the sex, I wouldn't have need for a secret relationship," he commented sarcastically in return. Now thinking that their time together was almost up. Soon there would be a lot more students hanging out by the lake area.
"Any place you want to meet up next or just send messages to each other via owls to keep it a secret?" he asked rather plainly, considering it would be hard to communicate throughout the school itself.

Every time Jacob kissed her Maharet felt… different. She couldn’t quite put her finger on what it was. Sure, every guy was different but this sensation that swelled up inside of her was foreign a more than just simple pleasure. Maggie refused to allow herself to think that maybe there was a reason for it, a reason that she dreaded. Her actions were now motivated by a necessity to keep herself from being sucked in by Jacob. If she just let him do everything, was putty in his hands, she was more likely to fall for him. Maharet couldn’t do that. She needed to walk a thin line with him.
Hearing his stomach growl with hungry Maggie laughed gently. Dusk was taking over the sky she noticed. Time flew by in his presence. Colours of purple and orange were muting the sky and here and there the first signs of stars stared to peek out. There was coolness in the air as well. November chill riding the breeze as night was beginning to take over. She was hardly dressed appropriately for the outdoors at this time of evening and found that the dropping temperature had affected her skin. A shiver passed through Maharet.
Jacob having a good side was amusing to her though. She was growing very fond of the current side that he was showing her. Calling it good, per say, was debatable, but what was irrefutable was that it was pleasant and most definitely agreeable. Maggie didn’t feel a need to point that out, his laughter was enough to tell her that even he knew it was ridiculous. Despite the sarcasm that had been exchanged Maharet was comforted that Jacob was interested in more from her than just the sex. She quickly batted away how good that made her feel.
“Some where secluded.” Maggie decided. “An empty classroom or Hogsmeade- The Three Broomsticks is acceptable, or Madam Puddifoot’s.” Maggie found the teashop disgusting with all the frilly décor and romantic couples but since everyone was so focused on their dates they were less likely to notice Maharet and Jacob together, which was a desirable trait in a location. Smiling brightly up at Jacob she couldn’t resist teasing him slightly. “But if you simply can’t wait until next weekend I’d be so kind as to take your owl.” As though it were a feat, which of course it wasn’t. “Now come on,” Maggie took Jacob’s hand tugging him gently. “I’m cold and you’re hungry, lets get back.”

Jacob's mind obviously was influenced by her many curves, but he knew that was just the underlying position as to what she was feeling right now. Considering the outfit she was wearing, he doubted she was anywhere near warm, but he himself had also forgotten how chilly the weather could get. Almost as cold as his heart could turn at times, but he wasn't about to make a scene with her not having one to protect her. As he walked up to her, he used his body heat to warm her up holding her close to him as his hand wrapped around her waist. What a considerate thing to do, but he was mainly using her for his own heat as well. Jacob finally just got the idea that he wasn't going to give in to whatever wiles she was trying to pull here.
In fact he had pulled out all of the tricks in the book to stop from falling for her, but he was too late on that agenda. Didn't anyone mention to him how brutally crude he could be towards another person, but he supposed if he heard someone saying that to him he'd admit it. Since he had a reputation to up-hold, and even being the big, bad Slytherin he was he had to clear his name from the Theresa Kelsey attack. A blunder he still won't live down for the rest of his days since Olivia will make it so that she punishes him for what he has done. Not even realizing that he was thinking too much again, and a look of worry appeared on the impressive Jacob Warrington's face. Not cause of Maharet, but Olivia, the only one true Slytherin he actually feared.
Not only that, he always hated how she could read his mind at a whim, and soon looked at Maharet again getting a good idea. What if they both learned Occlumency, and managed to be able to stop from telling the truth all the time even if someone tried to dig immensely hard within his mind. Nah, he'd bring that up next week when they'd meet, but he had to find the books for it. Jacob was definitely not a library type guy and had no intention of finding books just for the subject considering he actually knew the spells. Finally agreeing with her as he started to move forwards back to the castle, he would await next weekend when they would speak again.
Owls were definitely the way to communicate when you wanted to keep a secret, and being around other people was not the way to go. As she was suggesting Madam Puddifoot's tea shop, he almost tried to stifle the laughter that escaped from his lips, "Sorry I have a reputation to uphold too you know, I'd rather not risk someone seeing me in that...place. I know, I have some nerve saying that, but I'm curious if even the Hog's head would serve it's purpose, there always ways to reserve a room, that's my thought," he said to her, as they walked back. Arms within each others, while they still could. Jacob actually liked how they were right now.

Whatever the motivation for Jacob’s action, whether it was a ploy, him being genuinely thoughtful, or something else entirely, Maharet didn’t care. She was just glad to have his warmth enveloping her, shielding her from the unforgiving chill with his own body. Her hands ran over Jacob’s back venturing down slowly as she buried her face into his chest, further protection from the cold. It would have seemed to anyone an affectionate gesture on her part, but at the moment that was the further thing from her mind. Maggie just wanted to encourage Jacob to remain the way he was, if only for a few moments longer. Not that being held by the strapping young lad didn’t have other perks. Chaste touching such as this was something that Maharet had to force herself through any other time. Perhaps it was the circumstances that she found herself under that made it so effortless.
Because of her positioning she didn’t catch the look of concern that crossed Jacob’s features. She had heard of the attack of Theresa, which she had been giddy about at the time considering she didn’t care for the Slytherin girl at all, but the thought of the penalty that Jacob might have faced because of his slip up didn’t sit too well with Maharet. Although she fully understood consequence of actions, it bothered her to think that he had been hurt in any way, but that wasn’t new. Even before, when things between them weren’t as pleasant, Maggie didn’t want him hurt. In her own way she had always cared about Jacob, she knew and respected him, which was a combination that was rarely seen with Maharet. His warmth was enough to keep her satisfied for a good while but that only took care of one of their needs.
Looking up at Jacob she could see his mind working over time again. Things were connecting and ideas forming but Maggie still had no way of knowing what they were and he was opting to stay silent. She didn’t mind so much, as Maharet held a strong belief that some things were meant to stay private. Hell, most everything about her was private. Not many knew how she really felt or what she really thought because Maggie had decided at a young age that it was better to be trusted than feared. Getting to people, for her, was about gaining their confidence, lowering their guard and then getting what she wanted from them that way. Intimidation was an option but not one that she used often. Maharet thrived from the thrill of the challenge; it kept her entertained and gave her a creative outlet.
She walked along following Jacob’s lead, sticking close to him still for as long as she could. His laughter didn’t bother her as he was right now that she thought it over again. He would stick out at a place like that and because of the ridiculous nature of seeing Jacob Warrington sipping tea at Madam Puddifoot’s with her no less, was sure to be gossip juicy enough to spread like wildfire. It was her turn to laugh when he mentioned reserving a room. “Sure, make the arrangements.” It didn’t get much more secluded than a private room and Maharet wouldn’t have to hold anything back for fear of being seen with him. “Saturday, around one o’clock. Owl me the room number and I’ll meet you there.” Glancing around just to double check that their weren’t any unwanted eyes around Maggie stepped back up to Jacob putting a hand on his stomach, feeling his hard abs beneath his shirt. “Just make sure you don’t skip lunch.” She couldn’t help but to tease him for it now. Leaning in Maharet left him with a deep, lingering kiss before parting ways, breaking out into a jog once she was a good few paces away from him. This was as close to the castle as she was willing to chance.
