Seizel certainly wasn't expecting what had happened, after Hector had intercepted the pass to stop Lyra from scoring, which was good for him so he didn't have to extend his hands to make an extra effort. Amusing as it may have been, he kept his word on defending the posts, just hovering around them as he soon wagered that something was heading towards him. Then out of the corner of his eye he saw the tell-tales sign of a bludger approaching at full speed, but he wasn't one to get by it. After all he was the captain and keeper, without him this game would mean nothing, so he did what all good keepers did. Dodge, but he wasn't going to dodge the quaffle when it headed his way, so he kept his eyes out for that red ball at the same time. Surely the quaffle would be headed his direction soon as he noticed that Lyra Thornton now had possession of it.
Sad to say he was hoping Hufflepuff would just fall off their brooms like flies and almost wanted to send a beater after the others himself. What the hell were his beaters doing? If they didnt' get into action, he'd beat them over the head with a bludger bat instead. That would shape them up into actually doing their job, and as tired as Seizel was getting he soon just moved slightly to the side as the bludger whizzed by him. Seizel glared angrily at the werewolf, and then mocked him with a rather rude gesture. One that imitated yawn as if showing Lucian he was just a nuisance that wasn't worth his time. Seizel was indeed intimidating the werewolf to keep him from hitting Claire a second time. Otherwise he would have lost a valuable chaser, and their chance to score wasn't going to go up at all, but he hoped Raychel would find the snitch soon.
Notes; Siezel is defending the goals, and having avoided the bludger, taunting Lucian.

as lily's hands closed around the quaffle she grinned. for once things were going right! damn straight hufflepuff were not loosing this thing. she gripped the ball and quickly clutched it to her chest, tucking it tight under her arm and leaned forward on the broom - time to show ravenclaw what they were made of. she glanced toward louis, flashing him an encouraging smile - she felt a little bad for taking the pass from him but heck she was only trying to help out. she turned the broom away from the direction of the hufflepuff goal posts quickly and toward the ravenclaw end. she shot forward, low on the broom, keeping an eye out carefully for any bludgers heading her way - or anyway ravenclaws perhaps attempting to play dirty and push her from her broom. that had happened over time - though usually during matches with slytherins would elbows be used, and people would be pushed. lyra glanced about, looking for a familiar yellow robed team player to pass the quaffle to. she caught sight of makenna close by, and she quickly tried to catch her eye. "heads up!" she called out, going to throw the quaffle hard and fast toward her. ( lyra kara thornton is attempting to pass the quaffle to lily makenna martell! )

Once again Hector saw the quaffle sore out of his hands and into the hands of a damn Hufflepuff. He swore loudly, and rather rudely, might I add, and then flew off down the pitch, yelling at his teammates. He threw up his arms as he passed his fellow Ravenclaws, asking them why they were just sitting there, as if they were just decorations. He knew Seizel was playing, he could see him bobbing in front of the goal posts. And it seemed like it was constantly him and Lyra battling for the quaffle. But no matter how many times they tried to pass or score, the other one beat them and intercepted the quaffle.
It was really beginning to grate on the werewolf's nerves. He was naturally competitive, and this was killing him. He didn't understand why nobody was doing anything to help out! Hufflepuff was everywhere today, and he was only one person, he couldn't do it all! Hector took a few deep breaths and calmed himself down. He didn't want to be thrown from the game. He noticed that another werewolf, that Lucian guy was looking towards him. He gave the beater a glare, and shot off down the pitch towards Lyra. The beater seemed to have changed his mind and hit the bludger towards Seizel, who easily avoided it.
He caught up with Lyra just as she started to throw the quaffle and looked where it was going. To another little Hufflepuff girl. Hector rolled his eyes and leaned closer to his broom. He knew he had a newer faster model than most here, that's what money bought you. But he knew that if he wasn't fast enough to catch that quaffle, then it would be up to Seizel to stop a score if this other girl caught the ball.
(Hector is attempting to catch up to Lyra and Lily.)

Dunstable wasn’t exactly happy that the Head Boy had decided to defend the Head Girl. Wasn’t it a bit odd that the two of them just happened to be on the Quidditch Team? Probably not, but he wasn’t happy that he hadn’t hit his target, especially since no one has made a goal just yet. He wanted his team to score at least one goal before hopefully Lily caught the Snitch. So he turned his broom and headed straight for a bludger. He was bound to hit his next target, there was no doubt about that in his mind as he was going to make sure to hit it at whatever Ravenclaw dared to try to take the Quaffle from them or just happened to have possession of the Quaffle. His eyes were now set on the Bludger that wasn’t too far in front of him, this should be easy for a boy like Dunstable right?

hate to stare.... It was strangely peaceful, being up in the air- easy to get into a zone where even the cheers of the crowd below and the shouts of her teammates as action unfolded on the field were distant, like heard through the end of a long tunnel. Her eyes constantly darted here and there through the air, and flashes of light always got her attention, though they usually ended up being false alarms cast off from a student's watch. Her father had worn glasses, and her mother wore reading glasses, but luckily Lucy had inherited the 'good sight' genes of her family and had 20/20 vision. It was definitely an asset when her job leaned so heavily on her ability to notice tiny things.
False alarm after false alarm came, and Lucy very nearly bolted after each one of them. The tension and adrenaline pumped through her veins, wanting to make her react at every little thing. She wanted to win this. She needed to win this. Albus and James were not the only excellent seekers in the family. She had the same blood, or half of it at least, running through her veins... she could do this much better than blondie over on the Ravenclaw team.
Then she saw it. The distinct flash of gold in the air, far away from any stand so that Lucy knew it could not be a simple flash from a piece of jewellery on a pretty girl's body. Immediately she bolted after it, flying through the air as fast as her broom could carry her, which in the red head's opinion was pretty damn fast. A loud cheer from the crowd broke her tunnel vision, and for a split second her eyes flashed down below her to the pitch where she saw a blue player in possession of the quaffle. Teeth gritted she returned her attention to the snitch. ...Only to find that it had disappeared. Her moment of distraction had cost her the snitch... dammit.
... you're too curious for your own good

Was that her name being called out, she wondered or had she imagined it over the roar of the wind. Maybe the Ravenclaw crowds were chanting her name for some reason, it wasn’t like she had caught the snitch yet. Looking around she noticed Jaycen heading her way and a questioning look appeared on her face but it didn’t last long when she saw a dark shape just ahead of him, growing closer. Oh, she thought, he was trying to warn her of the bludger. But why would he help her when she was so far away compared to Claire who had been so much closer to him and yet she had been hit. Was it...no, she crossed that thought out of her mind, he was only doing his job. Protecting the one person that could and would end the game. Angling her broom down, she dived, missing the bludger. Smiling she turned to Jaycen. "Thanks," she called out, hoping her voice would reach him before her green eyes searched for the snitch again. Was that it...no, it was just a reflection, or what about that. Again no, but the third time she spotted something gold, it was in fact the snitch. The only thing that could dampen her joy was if Lucy had already seen it, and sure enough she had. Not this time, she thought to herself as she urged her broom after Lucy, but before she had time to catch up the snitch had disappeared. Damn it, she cursed silently as her eyes darted around, hoping the snitch would reappear somewhere and that Lucy wouldn’t see it.
Raychel lost sight of the snitch and is now ssearching for it again

How was it possible to not love quidditch? It wasn't. Fred might not be a part of the game himself (one of the few Weasleys of this generation, it seemed, who had not absorbed themselves in the wizard past time), but he loved watching the game just as much as any other student. The thrill of it all was exhilerating. It had been a disappointing last game, or first of the year, the last time he'd been sitting in these stands. Dressed in all Maroon, showing off his Gryffindor pride, he had been just as disappointed as any other Gryffindor fan when James Potter had come up empty handed at the end of the game while Fred's other cousin had retrieved the snitch and secured victory for Slytherin. Now, Fred had nothing against Albus, but he had wanted Gryffindor to win. Who didn't? Ah, well... Gryffindor would kick ass in the house tournament instead.
He liked the relaxed atmosphere of this game. Well, relaxed for himself and all other Gryffindor or Slytherin fans. Nothing depended on this game as of yet, so Fred and all other fans whose teams weren't involved in the game were free to relax and enjoy the show. Personally Fred was rooting for Hufflepuff a bit more... after all, he had relatives on that team and none on Ravenclaw, and he would love to see the look on Lucy's face if she came up victoriou with the snitch safely in her grasp, but if things didn't work out that way, they just didn't.
Almost as soon as that thought passed his mind there was a streak of yellow high above the bleachers where he knew his cousin was to be circling. Lucy obviously had something in her sights, but the Ravenclaw seeker was close on her tail. Fred held his breath, wondering if this could possibly be one of the shortest Quidditch matches he'd ever seen at Hogwarts, but both seekers came up empty-handed. No victory or loss for his cousins. Fred let his breath out all at once, moving his eyes away from his red haired relative and back to the action on the pitch.

Seizel sat up in the air deciding that it probably wasn't best to taunt their beaters, and he kept that to himself not wanting to get a bigger target on his back. Even if that so-called beater had been after him, Seizel really didn't personally care what he was doing there. Finally hovering around the goals practicing some nimble dodging techniques, but it wasn't to piss off that beater further. It was more or less his way of doing something while waiting to defend the Quidditch posts still, and as of now he was currently defending no matter the position of his team. Judging from his current disposition there wasn't much to be said besides this one phrase.
"HECTOR! PASS THE QUAFFLE TO DEIMOS!" was all he yelled, rather audibly, but he didn't care if it gave the other team a chance to actually intercept the pass, it wasn't like he could actually have the whole playing field to himself. Hector wasn't the only chaser in this game, and the seekers seemed to be gaining on each other. So, now it was up to him to keep Hufflepuff from gaining a lead, but this was rather boring due to the fact not even one of them had scored yet. So he just hovered in the air again, doing twirls at points, and even doing loop to loops just to bide his time. It was more or less just his way of saying that he hated sitting still. Constantly weaving in between the goal posts.
Moving back and forth, idly waiting for a chance to save the quaffle from going in or even just dodging another bludger hit. Seizel knew there would be a greater target on his back, but he was dexterous enough to avoid it again if luck was on his side.
Notes; Seizel is defending the quidditch goals again, and is doing loop the loops.

As the quaffle soared into his open hands, Hector smiled again. Man, it seemed like him and Lyra were having a heck of a time passing to each others team mates today! But he didn't think about that. Instead, he put the brakes on and zipped off down to Hufflepuff's goal posts. But before he could try to shoot, he heard Seizel. Pass to Demios! He swiveled his head around, trying to find the other Ravenclaw. And then he spotted him. Waving him down, Hector kept flying while waiting for Deimos to get close. Then he hurled the ball at his teammate. "Hey Deimos!" he yelled, his arm still outstretched.

Why had she even come? It wasn't as though peer pressure dictated she should attend this mindless game... and house pride was clearly not the case. If she'd skipped the match that the one worthwhile house, Slytherin, had competed in, there was no reason that she should come and watch a game between the goody-two-shoes and the leftovers. But still, as the rest of the school slowly filtered out from the school down to the Quidditch pitch, Chasity had found herself tagging along. There were no classes, and though the deserted castle could be rather peaceful sometimes she wasn't in the mood for silence today. Besides, maybe the Quidditch match could be amusing somewhat... that was how she rationalized her attending the game. It would all be worthwhile if she could just see a Weasley fall to the earth, hit off of their broom by a bludger... that'd put a thorn in the blood traitor family's side.
She took her seat in the stands overlooking the pitch after the game began, when the players had already scattered every which way and the game was beginning. Unlike most sitting in the Ravenclaw section, she didn't cheer or boo at every little change in the game. She had no attachment to Ravenclaw, as noted many times before. She didn't really care if the game was won or lost, or even if any Ravenclaw players were seriously injured during it. Well... okay, it might suck it one Ravenclaw player was injured, but still... one half-non-irritating guy wasn't enough reason to cheer for a team. She was just here for the show.

Post by LILY MAKENNA MARTELL on Jul 28, 2011 18:51:54 GMT -6
It was absolutely infuriating how the Quaffle was continuously being stolen from Hufflepuff. Not for the first time, Makenna fumed on the topic. She had so much pent-up anger in her that she wished that she was still a Beater so she could hit a Bludger straight for that goody-goody-two-shoes obnoxious prat, Hector Wulfe. It was clear to her that he was carrying his team. Unfortunately, not a member of the Ravenclaw team, Makenna was more than annoyed at that fact. Clearly, Jaxon wasn't doing so great of a job, especially considering he had stolen her position.
She was more annoyed at herself that she had done very little to help her teammates, but that was something that was about to be changed very soon. Makenna had no intention of continuing to let her teammates down. ...And that was when the Quaffle was stolen from right under her nose! Unsurprisingly, the temperamental Hufflepuff was becoming increasingly annoyed with Hector's interference with Hufflepuff's play. In an attempt to steal the Quaffle back for Hufflepuff , she rushed forward with her hands outstretched towards the Quaffle as it left Wulfe's hands.

you said hey since that day you stole my heart and you're the one to blame- - - In all of his six, so far, years at Hogwarts Frank had never missed a single Quidditch match. He'd been late for one or two, but he had never, ever missed one match of his favorite sport. Even when Gryffindor wasn't playing, to skip a match seemed sacrilegious of sorts. He could get into any match, no matter who the competing teams were. Of course, when Gryffindor was in the running he cheered ten times as hard for his own house, but he wasn't disappointed to see a game between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw, either. He knew many of the players from each team as they'd been on their said team for at least the previous year. Each team had some very good players, and since it was just the first match of the year it was impossible to tell who would win. He sat in the Gryffindor section of the stands, though it had a few students from other houses mixed in among the 'lions', with no real team to cheer for. He couldn't tell which win or loss would benefit Gryffindor the greatest, so he cheered equally for each team. Moreso he cheered for their successes, such as the success of Hufflepuff against the Ravenclaw chaser and the success of Raychel dodging a bludger, or any chaser intercepting a pass. It was far better to cheer on the successes than boo the failures of a certain team when they had the quaffle stolen from them. He'd save the booing of a team for when Gryffindor was playing, and the opposing team did something good. For now he was happy to sit back and enjoy the show. -Frank's just a spectator. - TEMPLATE BY VIKA OF CAUTION.

Post by LORANA ALEXIS SMITH on Jul 29, 2011 1:27:10 GMT -6
Lorana loved Quidditch. She found the sport to be most exhilarating and never missed a Hogwarts match. An avid fan, it was rather unfortunate for her that she wasn’t nearly good enough to actually play. Her father had tried to get her more active in Quidditch but every time they played at home Lori ended up fumbling the Quaffle like she had butterfingers, missing ninety percent of the shots, she was a poor Keeper, Seeker and Beater as well. Really Lorana was just glad that she wasn’t prone to falling off her broom. She was a huge Holyhead Harpies fan, but when it came to the Hogwarts teams Lori was a dedicated Gryffindor supporter. When it came to Ravenclaw Vs. Hufflepuff Lori had a difficult time rooting for one particular team. They were both so good that the only solution she could think of was to, rather than cheering for any one team, simply show her appreciation for excellent maneuvers.
She was on the edge of her seat, right along the few row, fingers coiled around the railing of the stands watching the events of the game unfold. Her face was animated with interest and excitement. There was nothing better than seeing people dodge buldgers, intercept quaffles and race after the tiny gold, ever elusive snitch. Lorana barely noticed the cool temperature that hung in the air. It must have been even worse for the players as the wind cut at their faces. That was hardly the worse thing that they had to heed in a Quidditch game. The weather had a much better chance of treating them well than the foreboding beaters always hovering in the air with nothing but a sickening telltale crack of their bat to sound off an attack.
Zero to zero, both teams seemed to be evenly matched a constant back and forth of favour. Capper was doing a tremendous job at defending the goal and Lrya was Johnny on the spot when it came to sticking close to the quaffle. Periodically Lorana would clap, whistle, or holler when the occasion called for it.

Dunstbale noticed as he reached the Bludger that Hector was trying to pass the Quaffle to Deimos. There was no way that Dunstable was going to let Deimos keep the Quaffle. So he turned himself so that he was facing towards Deimos and held his bat up getting ready to take a swing. He sure hoped that Lucy would catch the snitch soon, just to end this game, seeing as the ball keeps going back and forth between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw with no one scoring a goal. Oh how he wished that Hufflepuff would score a goal already. And then with a loud ‘Whack’ he sent the bludger flying towards Deimos in hopes that he would his the older Ravenclaw boy.

deimos hadn't been much in the game until now, but as he heard hector yell his name he snapped into it, turning his head sharply to where he heard hector yell from and opening his hands in order to accpet the ball. he saw a yellow robed idiot try and intercept and his upper lip curled in discontend, shifting on his broom and sending it forward, he made to knock the person out of the way and accept the ball. smirking, deimos gripping it, shifting it toward his arm and going to turn. it had cost him his concentration however, and as he turned something damn heavy collided with his side, pushing the ball clean straight from his grasp. deimos growled in frustration, the bludger already on its way after it'd done it's damage, both by causing him to loose the quaffle he'd so recently gained, and by causing a shuddering pain up his right arm to his shoulder. looking round he saw the cuprit and shot them a glare, never mind if that was the kids 'job'.
( deimos salvador had the quaffle.. and now he has dropped the quaffle and is rather liking the idea of hurting dunstable ... -joke- )

Her eyes kept glancing back at Lucy, if the Hufflepuff caught sight of the snitch again, Raychel would be ready, she'd be hot on her tail and hopefully overtake her and snatch the victory from Hufflepuff. Out of the corner of her eye she saw a bludger hit Demios. It wasn’t as hard as what Claire looked to have been hit with, but bludgers hurt all the same. Those damn Hufflepuff beaters were all over the Ravenclaw chasers and it sucked. Yes, Raychel thought it sucked. She wanted to fly towards her own beaters, take their bats from them, wack them over the head before setting an example of what they had to do. Although she should complain, Jaycen had been the one to alert her to the previous bludger that had headed her way, if it hadn’t been for him, she would have most likely been hit.
Her head snapped around to the side and that was when she saw it, a sinister smile grew on her face as she looked over at Lucy, it appeared as if she hadn’t seen it yet.
