That...damn girl. Narrowing his eyes, he determined that he was going to make her pay. Hell, if he had a damn bat, he wouldn't hesitate to send a bludger her way. Still, that wasn't his role. He'd leave that to his team mates. If they failed to get her, he had ways of dealing with her outside of the safety of the match though. There wouldn't always be someone watching her.
He kept close to her, waiting for her to screw up, but not so close that anyone taking aim at her would hit him by mistake, nor so close that he hindered Scorp's ability. He pulled back even further when a bludger and beater came flying at her. At some point in that moment though, Scorpious stole the quaffle and pulled away. Pausing for a moment, he watched the match trying to figure out where he'd be best placed. He knew they had to get up towards the goals and someone needed to be closer. Steve would be better to make the goal, but in between there and now...
Moving closer to Scorpious and the quaffle again, he didn't make any particular indication but he was there and ready to receive if Scorpious needed to pass.
(Seraphim is waiting to see if Scorpious will pass)

Their last win was quite victorious as it was against the Gyffindors. Now they were up against the Hufflepuffs, and despite the fact that he and his cousin Dunstable got along quite well they knew that in a match that has nothing to do with who wins or loses. They would both go all out and may the better Quidditch Player win.
Albus was up in the air looking around for the snitch. He kept his eyes partially squinted as he looked around. He was the captain of the Slytherin team and knew that he didn’t need to watch and see what they were doing. He trusted his teammates to do what they needed to in order to win so that all he had to do was wait for Aubrey’s voice to rang through the stadium saying who scored a goal and who was winning.
Albus is searching for the snitch.

As thrilled as Adrian was that he had been the first to the buldge and even had hit it straight at that worthless piece of Hufflepuff trash, his grin quickly aoured at that damned Potter descendent blocking his perfectly good shot. Growling at the older boy he had zero fear or reservation in showing him exactly how he was feeling about the situation. Nothing was worse than an angry werewolf, but Adrian had to keep himself in check.
Looking over at Lucian who had promised to get his revenge in some way or another, even going so far as to call him a runt... Adrian was growing still so he could just shut his fat mouth. Narrowing his gaze at the other werewolf watching his progress as well as Malfoy's to see what his next move might be. Nearing Lucian Adrian prepared himself to block whatever buldger the other boy might send at one of his teammates.

Now that was more like it, Scorpius thought as he felt the weight of the quaffle in his hands. Slytherin was going to win, they were the better team. A smirk appeared on his face as he tucked the quaffle under his arm and flew towards the hufflepuff goalposts, his eyes searching for another slytherin chaser. He caught Seraphim hovering nearby and was tempted to pass to him until he caught sight of Steve a little further down.
"Steve, catch," he shouted over the wind, as he grabbed the quaffle and throw it in the slytherin's direction, hoping that the pass was successful and that slytherin could score the first points of the game.

Revenge couldnt come soon enough. As Lucian made it to the bludger he turned to see who was close by and what was happening. So Slytherin had possession of the quaffle, big deal, the hufflepuff chasers could get it back if hey were alert enough. Perhaps he should send a bludger their way like last game...no Adrian was there and oh so close.
A smirk appeared on the werewolf's face as he taunted Adrian with his bat, aiming for each and every slytherin player on the field until he aimed it at Adrian himself. He could already taste the revenge and so he hit the bludger at Adrian, making sure to put extra strength behind the bludger, hoping to knock the runt off his broom.

He was young and confident- some might have argued that he was over confident. But when Lucian began to taunt him, rather than allowing his aggressions to rise to the surface, Adrian found himself mimicking the other boy’s actions, taunting him right back. There was no way that a Greyback would let anyone act that way toward them without some retribution. Adrian might have had some dormant, mild respect for Lucian in the general sense because they shared the blessing of lycanthropy, but when it came to Quidditch Adrian had to view him as the enemy. There was no loyalty on the field except to the other members of his own team.
Smirking right back at Lucian his bat rose as well ready to block the hit wherever Lucian saw fit to direct it. Malfoy was making his move, the other players were flying around the pitch doing, what he could only suspect without taking his eyes off Lucian, their jobs- though he had to wonder where Chun was in all of this. To his surprise, though he probably shouldn’t have been, Lucian bat cracked against the buldger sending it hurtling straight for him. Swinging his bat in an effort to keep from getting a face full of ball, Adrian hoped to hear the resounding crack of his own beater’s bat against the buldger.

Steve was ready to receive the quaffle even if someone was trying to intercept them, but he held an outstretched hand ready to catch at the same time. Even if Scorpius was on his team, but he had a plan to go through with this so that he could help Slytherin at least obtain one goal. Finally a chance to prove himself, and he hoped Layla was watching. Not wanting to be distracted for even a second he didn't bother to look away either while he noticed that Scorpius was now closer. Hoping he caught the quaffle, but that was only if it landed in his hands, would he rejoice.

slytherin, stealing the quaffle back? nu-uh, the stupid snakes weren't going to get the better of the hufflepuffs. not this time. the badgers were kicking their butts in the task, and it was time to translate that success onto the quidditch pitch. it couldn't be too hard. hufflepuff had an awesome team, ravenclaw just... well, they were better. but because ravenclaw hadn't face slytherin in a match yet, it couldn't be said whether they were facing a team superior or inferior to ravenclaw. zac was hoping that it was inferior, that would certainly make kicking their butts even easier.
the sixth year was ready to retaliate. the moment the quaffle showed any indication of leaving scorpius' hands, he was ready, already shooting forward between scorp and the other chaser, steve. c'mon, how hard could it really be to intercept a single pass?

He wasn't too offended that Steve had been selected over him - after all, he was older and Seraphim hadn't long lost them possession of the quaffle anyway. His intention had been to just hang back and let the pass go as it should - but something caught his eye. He couldn't remember what the Chaser's name was, only that he'd seen him around one of the greybacks before. Scum like that got everywhere.
From their actions it seemed like they fully intended to intercept the pass. Well, Sera was not going to stand for that. Not at all. He couldn't do anything much at the moment except be ready to try and steal it back if they did get their hands on it.

Steve certainly was impressed that Scorpius had chosen him as the recipient for the pass, but he quickly caught the quaffle. There was no hesitance as he grew serious and looked towards the oncoming goal with determination. The wind blew in his hair as he streaked forwards, and didn't even give the other chaser that had been there a chance to try intercepting. All he really had to worry about now was the other chaser trying to get to him. Well, hopefully that meant he could get a goal, but as he soared forwards, looking for anyone else near him. Seraphim was definitely a viable option to go to.
Even as he continued on his way and was within striking distance determining if he should just throw it. Well, their keeper seemed preoccupied, but he wasn't going to wait for it. Steve suddenly went for it and threw the quaffle at the goal to attempt getting a goal for his team. Not wanting to take all the glory, but after he had veered off, only time would tell if his goal actually counted at all. Steve was literally crossing his fingers and hoped that Slytherin would at least get some points on the board. Glancing around, and noticing no bludgers were headed his way just yet, but that would change soon enough he was sure. Yelling back to Scorpius, 'Thanks Scorp," he said to him. A reliable choice, and he wouldn't make Scorpius regret it either.

Post by LILY MAKENNA MARTELL on May 13, 2012 10:06:12 GMT -6
Words could not possibly describe just how frustrated Makenna was with this situation. This game was turning out to be far too similar to the previous game where the quaffle was simply passed back and forth and back and forth from team to team with neither team managing to get a goal in. The Hufflepuff could not deal with the possibility that this game would turn out like the previous.
Makenna cursed heavily when she saw her throw being intercepted by Malfoy. Then it was passed to Amethyst who was attempting to score a goal. Not if Makenna had any say about this. She absolutely refused to allow them to get any headway. Just because Slytherin had won their first game did not mean that they were going to win this game.
The Hufflepuff surged forward as she saw the quaffle leave Amethyst’s careful grasp. She reached out and tried to stop its current path to the goal posts where Louis was standing guard.

Louis watched as the quaffle was tossed around and then slytherin finally made a successful pass to one another which meant he was alert and prepared to block the quaffle. Sitting up straighter, the hufflepuff watched as Steve made his way to the goals, trying to figure out which one he'd throw it into. A blur of yellow caught his attention as he noticed Makenna attempting to intercept the quaffle as well. Well now they had two hufflepuffs to get throw, Louis smiled as he readied himself before flying in the direction Steve had thrown the quaffle, hoping that either he or Makenna could stop it.

Feeling the hit of the buldger from the oaf Adrian let a growl rip through chest directed it at Lucian. ”You hit like a little girl!” Adrian taunted letting his rage run his mouth. He didn’t feel any damage from the hit so it was a fair assessment in his opinion. Snickering to himself at the comment he had just made, it probably wasn’t the smartest thing to do, but then maybe it was. If Lucian lost focus on the game and directed his fury at Adrian personally then he would have a better chance as to keeping him distracted. Spotting a buldger not too far off Adrian dashed toward it chasing along its path. Time to do some damage.

"GO FOR IT!" Sometimes being a keeper could be really frustrating. Lina was guarding the goals like she was supposed to be doing, but no one was getting close enough for her to do her job. Which, was a good thing of course. She was cheering on Steve, who was attempting a goal, and to her that was a good thing. What else was she supposed to do right now?
(Lina is cheering on Steve? )
